I have a Motorola Sliver bluetooth headset, and it works great on my S3. Upgraded to the S4 and everyone is saying that there's a crazy echo and that it's impossible to hear me at all. I've played with the sound cancelling options, and it still sucks.
Anyone else seeing problems with bluetooth headsets on the S4?

problem with Jabra Era and BlueAnt Q2 too
I have the same problem with both the Jabra Era and BlueAnt Q2. This would only happened if when I am on a voice call. Play back music and sound does not have the problem. Static noise, echo , crackle noises all happened during the voice call. Turn off the headset and using the phone alone does not have this problem. At first, I thought it's the network. I swap the SIM out and use my Atrix HD and everything is fine. This is more of the phone's bluetooth issue to me. Anyone else go the same issue?
Just to be clear (no pun) it's the audio that my callers hear that seems messed up, not the audio I hear. I switched to a Plantronics and people say that audio is great, so it may be a compatibility issue with the Motorola Sliver. That would suck.

Please help me before i go crazy on this!
I bought a new handsfree (Plantronics Voyager 520) hoping it was something wrong with my old one.
So my problem is that when I use my handsfree I hear alot of noises and sometimes I can´t even hear the other part because of that. But it seems to be only me that hear this, not the one I talk to.
I tried changing the Linespeed value in registry, but that didn´t help.
Maybe if I flash a new radio??
I have searched, but havn´t found any help. Dont know if this is a known problem?
Someone knows?
It seems to be something with the reception. All i hear is alot of cracking noise.
I have also tried with my Jabra BT3030 and the sound is good. But not when im using any of my headsets.
I, too, use a Plantronics 520 with my AT&T Tilt2. I hear lots of snap, crackle and pop but the other party does not hear it.
Anybody?
using a Plantronics Discovery 925 and it's pretty clear. No call quality complaints from both sides. Only complaint I have is it picks up too well sometimes the other party can hear some unwanted noises...
I havn´t found a solution to this problem. Someone else have a good idea??
Double post
I use a Jabra Dogtag with the touch pro2, i have clear sound in music and phone works also good.
Even the play, next and prev keys work perfect.
Try going to the bluetooth menu and activate stereo sound instead of headset (Maybe
Or turn off secure connection.
This might not help, but who knows

By Dogtag, you mean BT3030?? I have one of those also and it´s working for me. But when i connect to one of my hedsets it´s very bad sound.
I have an old SE and a new Plantronics, but same issue with both. But only when i connect those to my TP2. Both those are mono-headset you put on your ear.
I have paired my Plantronics Marque Bluetooth headset with my Galaxy Nexus GSM model. The headset is paired and connected. I can say "answer" to answer an incoming call, but I can't hear anything through the BT headset. I think that the caller can hear me, but I'm not sure.
I also tried to use my Motorola H720 headset and had similar results. The Plantronics headset works fine with my HTC Sensation. Is there anything that I should do differently in order for the phone audio to work with the BT headset?
I think there is a problem with the bluetooth stack in the Galaxy Nexus, I've been encountering sync issues with my car which works fine with Nexus S and Nexus One.
Should I contact Google about this? Using BT is important while I drive. I have gotten used to not holding a phone up to my ear while I talk, so this could be a deal-breaker for me. I really like this phone and don't want to give it up, though.
This seems specific to the SGS3 ROMs so I thought I would post here. I swear this worked fine before flashing my first JB ROM.
My 2006 VW doesn't have an AUX input so I use one of the FM Transcievers. It works well.
But...I also use a bluetooth headset while driving.
What I want to happen is to be able to answer calls with my bluetooth headset. Right now while the FM thing is plugged into the headphone jack, the callers voice is sent over the headphone jack and on the stereo. It does pause the music when the call comes in.
It is as if my bluetooth headset is disabled while the headphone jack is used, even though the headset button on the in-call screen is lit up. The phone mic is used instead of my headset too.
I have tried disabling A2DP on my headset and also connecting the bluetooth headset after plugging in the headphones.
BTW, I am using PowerAmp.
Thoughts?
Uhmm .. this should be under Q&A .. NOT Development !!!!

It seemed related to the ROMs that is why I posted it here.
Still goes to Q & A section.

Hello all,
Whenever I plug in a wired headphone I can hear the sound of the headset microphone. It's very annoying, especially when walking and it's windy.
Is there any known issue that would be causing this? Any troubleshooting steps?
I'm on rooted stock, headset is a rha MA750i.
Thanks!
Edit: spelling.
Hi!
Today I installed my brand new car audio system (JVC KD-R871BT) which should enable me to make phone calls via bluetooth.
I have made some test-calls.
Unfortunately the conversational partner doesn't hear my voice (he says I he can't barely hear me).
The microphone volume over bluetooth seems much to low.
I played around with my car audios settings (noice canceling, mic boost, etc...). But nothing made it better.:crying:
Is anybody else experiencing this issue too?
Do you know how I can fix this?
Everything else works really fine. I can hear the conversational partner very clearly and loud enouch. Also the music-streaming via bluetooth works very smoothly... just the microphone volume seems to be buggy.
Please help!
Regards

Hi!
Update: this seems to be a problem with HTC One M8.
Today I tested it with another phone and it worked.
Anybody else with the described problem?
