Hi guys
I recently rooted my device and flashed Alliance Rom, and Perseus alpha 35. I was experiencing a small amount of lag before this when swiping around the screens but nothing bad. Now I am overclocked to 1.8ghz, and have the GPU at 773, and I experience a HUGE amount of lag for about 15 seconds after a turn the screen on. After that i get short bursts of random lag. Its almost like its not scaling up fast enough or something. After a few swipes it starts to get smooth but if it goes back to the lockscreen the same happens again. I am using widget locker so could be something to do with that. I have already wiped cache and devlik.
What am i doing wrong I just want my note to screem round the screens like everyone elses

Is there anyway to get rid of how the screen bounces from left to right? Its really annoying...Also when you slide down the notification bar is there anyway to have a on off switch there for 3g & all background data? Also, is there anyway to get the battery life of a CM7 mod to that of stock rom?
BTW is it just me or is the CM 7 mod (im using the destroyer v2 version of CM7) much faster than stock rom or in my case Im using the Spring Lovers rom? Does changing the profiles in the CPU settings change anything like going from ondemand which I am on now to performance? It seems that the sprint lovers battery lasts much longer that is currently my only downside for this mod...
You should have an app anim mod or something that will edit the screen transitions, but it can be tricky to use.
I think you can just open the spare parts app and change transition animations to off. That should do it.
For the 3g data toggle, go to menu>settings>CM Settings>Interface>Notification Widgets. From there you can put where ever toggles you want in there.
Most people feel like AOSP ROMs are a little faster just b/c they have less crap in them compared to Sense ROMs. That's why they're only 60-80mb instead of 150+.
You can play with the governors in CPU settings and see which one works for you. I think conservative or OnDemand are the way to go, depends on how they work for you.
When switching from Sense to AOSP, you need to wipe battery stats. Charge the phone until it's full, unplug it and turn it off. charge it while it's off until the green light comes back on and unplug it again. Do that 10 times. Then go into recovery and wipe battery stats. That should get you more battery life.
Here are some other tips:

If those don't work, try the tiamat Kernel. Should be able to squeeze 20hrs out of the battery on light/moderate use.
If you're talking about the scrolling on the launcher, go into the launcher's settings and turn elastic scrolling off (or change it to 0 if elasticity is a numeric option).
Destroyer has bounce transitions. I think that's what he's talking about.
i turned mine off by using menu>setting>display>animation then selected "some animations" hat turned the annoying screen flip off.
Yes the bounce transitions! They hurt my head!
I just took if the animation option off in display settings off. I notice it makes the phone run alot smoother in the home screen. What features am I missing out in due to this?

What animation I haven't seen any besides when you hold the number row and you can slide across the screens
He means your missing the photon/ crt animation. Its the graphic that looks like an old tube tv turning off.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
nooo... there's more
there's the page to page transition
the animated pop up and fade off
and many more effects that is not launcher related
because depending on the launcher you use, itself also provides other types of animation, so it's hard to figure out which one belongs to the system, and which to the launcher
Well why does it make things laggy at times when loading apps and going through the hone screen

did not detect any lag from stock rom, or customized rom
perhaps you have too much stuff running?
how much FREE RAM is left in your phone in average?
remember to exit out completely out of apps/games you don't use for the next few hours
OK I was playing around with it and now I see the animation how it looks different when you go in messaging and contacts. Then when its off. But It at times it does go into a black screen for like 2 seconds compared to no animations that it just loads it instantly. I cleared my ram and closed out all the apps running which were quiet a few but it goes back to using 586 out of 784 ram with no apps running
that is alot of stuff running, that might explain why your phone might be lagging a bit
i only have aprox 260 MB in use and 480 MB free of 782 MB total, the rest are cached apps that are in standby
Any time you turn animations off on your PC or your phone, you are going to get better performance. It's the first thing I turned off when I got this phone. Just for fun, I read this thread and turned them back on for a few minutes. It's back off already...can't stand how laggy it makes the phone and mine is stock with only about 20 apps.
Aside from the major issues that some (But certainly not all) people have been having with corruption/screen flicker there are still quite a number of minor issues that could do with a bit of work.
Live wallpaper bug w/ Rosie
Certain games that should not lag end up lagging (Despite CPU usage being quite low throughout). A good example of this is stair dismount. Shadowgun THD on the other hand runs smooth as butter. Obviously, a driver update is necessary.
Although very infrequent, the interface stutters from time to time. HTC need to fix 2D hardware rendering.
HTC Gestures causes far too many issues. It needs to be fixed, not just disabled.
Camera framerates can dip even in good lighting conditions. HTC needs to either up the bitrate or find some other way of increasing framerate. The phone and sensor are certainly capable of it.
The stock android widgets are incredibly laggy and don't update properly (The GMail widget in particular). The Sense mail widget is fine so it's certainly not for lack of performance.
If anyone else has any issues (EXCEPT FOR SCREEN FLICKERING as that doesn't affect everyone) could you please add to that list so we can send it to HTC?
I know this has been said in many threads. But the laggy scrolling between homescreens is driving me nuts. Its not bad unless you have a lot of widgets. This is even using HTCs wigets.
Download Apex and add as many wigets as you want. Smooth as butter. So the phone is more than capable of handling this.
Also - When using live wallpapers the animations stop for a sec when swiping between homescreens. This also should not happen. It also works flawlessly on apex.
I wish they would fix the unresponsive screen issue. Can't tell you how many times over the last few days I've nearly thrown the damn phone up a wall while trying to play a game and the screen has stopped registering 1 or all touches
Have you turned off HTC Gestures? I had the exact same problem until I turned it off.
-Double push headset button to skip song
-Bluetooth Audio lags
-Option to change multitask button en disable on-screen menu button
-MUCH better performance
-MUCH better power management
-Browser lags!
-Camera sensor is véry high-end, so somehow it must be the software that makes the picture look worse than my old SGS II camera. (both on default setting)
Please HTC don't dissappoint us, the hardware is perfect so don't screw up the software
Am new to One X. Awesome device but am finding something really annoying. The kinetic scrolling is buggy. Whenever I flick scroll the screen sometimes it scrolls in the opposite direction. Chances are around 30%. I know you all have experienced it and if this has been solved before then please guide me to that thread. I just wanna calibrate the sensitivity and delay timing (which seems to be extremely sensitive). Device is rooted and BL unlocked. Using Evolution HD sense 5 Rom.
Thanks....
Anyone else seem like touchscreen sensitivity on P6 i a bit laggy ? But to understand by what i mean with laggy you must have had a snappy phone before that... It's like for example on the app drawer (i use apex launcher), or anywhere that you have to scroll, you move your finger like 1 cm before the screen actually starts scrolling... Any thaughts on this ? And please do not recommend any app from Google Play, i have tried them all and no improvement. Attached screenshots of my homescreen and app drawer. May i mention that all the settings in my phone are optimised or speed, like drom the developer menu animations and all the rest are set to off, in apex launcher all animations are off, gloves mode on/off, nothing works

There is something wrong with the GPU drivers I believe, our gpu doesn't only suck at 3D but it sucks horribly at 2D also (even SGS2 has better 2D performance). For example a very simple process for the GPU to render: try pulling down the notification bar - it just feels sluggish and not snappy at all on the P6 compared to even the SGS2. Vivante is horrible and Huawei has to do something about it (either release the drive sourcecodes or improve the GPU ALOT.
