[Q] Galaxy Nexus drivers windows 7

My Gnex refuses to install drivers. (windows 7) i tried on my brothers computer and it works fine but it will not work on mine. Anyone know where to find some drivers that will work. Im currently failing hard on samsungs site.
Can you explain what's happening when you try to install the drivers? Do they install correctly without any errors?
No they dont. I plug it in and it fails to install everytime ive tried with different cables and this is my second gnex having the exact same problem.

Because the problem is your computer/OS/you, not Galaxy Nexus.
Try GNex Toolkit to install drivers. If even that fails i would suggest to get your computer repaired or use brothers
PS don't forget to disconnect your phone before installing drivers.
Hmmm i thought it would be an easy driver download fix.

See the link i gave you, there's another two options that doesn't involve installing GNex Toolbox:
http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/06/how-to-set-up-adb-usb-drivers-for-android-devices/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379875
+1 to GNex Toolbox; worked like a charm for me!
i had a problem with the usb drivers too using toolkit but following the manual install instructions worked for me. i had to go into system->device manager on my pc and install from there using the manual install instructions provided with the toolkit(option 1 and then option 3 using the toolkit). good luck.
i had problems with using the toolkit as well, so i downloaded the pdanet drivers and installed and that worked

This worked for me too. PDAnet installed drivers properly. Tried everything else didn't work.
I know this is a dumb question but I gotta ask. Did you right click the installer and choose "Run as Administrator?" Sometimes that's all it needs (even when your login has administrative privileges, you're still not Administrator.)

try this plug your phone in and make sure usb debugging is checked on the phone(settings->developer options) then on your pc go to control panel->system->device manager. when your phone is plugged in you should see android 1.0 or galaxy and right click and select update driver. if you see nothing here then try plugging the usb in a different port on the back of your pc. Then select browse device for driver, after that choose option "let me pick from a list of drivers" there you should see google or samsung as a option and select it. if that worked you should be good to go.
Ok tried every USB port, still nothing and this is the error message i get when i try to install through the device manager.

you got this error after doing the manual install and choose from a list of drivers and found google in that list?
if so then uninstall all samsung drivers, pdanet and drivers. then reinstall the samsung usb driver first then try the manual install again. make sure you have the phone plugged in and usb debugging enabled when doing the manual install in device manager.
I have exactly the same problem. Root, pushing files, everything works, except MTP. Any suggestions?

Samsung app store is available in all countries.
The problem with samsung apps is that they are basically crap.
To make it work just create a new account with new email.Thats it.

Thanks for your instructions. I tried once with Kies but no option to access Samsungapps.
Anyways, I will reinstall Kies and try again.
Thanks
Genci
Did it...
Had to do the registry hack to change region and then manually replace the appstore plugin.
also solved the spoofing... was missing a step
thanks to all!
for me: Case closed!

[Q] MTP & USB Connection problem

After flashing a fresh ROM into my GT-I8150 which is OneOfAKind V13 that based on CM9, I cant connect my HH to PC.. Windows detected some device, but the driver just dont compatible, this is the first time Im running on ICS for my SGW.
Looks like ICS do have MTP/USB connect issues, is there anyone can give solution to this. Which driver i should use or maybe there is an apps for this?
I need the connection for ADB debug, so I can install the apps easily. And of course the UMS feature for transferring files.
go to developer options and check the usb debugging
please upgrade your ms netframwork to 3.5/4. window media player 11. and try again

Installing KIES on your windows can solve your problem. If the problem still persist, go online and do install driver from windows update..

I only ever had Mass Storage work for me on CM9 Ice Cream Sandwich, MTP simply didn't work (am now on CM10 JellyBean - which is pretty much flawless - and no such issue).
For the drivers for your phone install Kies, connect your phone, wait for the driver to install, you can then uninstall Kies if you don't want to use it and leave just the driver on your pc.

Install linux on P5200

Hey
Is there any way to install linux on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 P5200? I have tried some way but no luck. F. ex. Linux Deploy gives errors like "Updating environment ... fail" and "Updating configuration file ... fail". Any idea how to fix it?
1) Please check the thread you are posting in. AFAIK this should have been in the Q and A section.
2) as far as I know there is NO way. There might be in the future.
3) Please give us some more details on what you did. This is like saying I opened a program and windows crashed. We have no detail at all.
4) A little google searching goes a long way. Google search and the XDA forum search are your best friends
Other than that hello to XDA and enjoy your stay
Sorry for this, but searched mr. google well, and haven't found any way how to do it.
What i did? I have root my Tab and after installing and running Linux Deploy gives me those info. I have running Android 4.2.2 (P5200XXUAMG7). Anything else needed?

Trouble Seeing and Rooting LG-D851 with CyanogenMod

Not sure how to best describe the issue, so please stay with me on this. I have a clean install on Windows 7 laptop (Lenovo W530) and on my LG-D851. I cannot seem to root the D851, like I normally do using LG Root Script v1.2. It appears that there is an issue installing the USB driver on Windows 7, but I cannot be sure. I have provided a lot of screenshots so you have as much info as possible. While I can see the phone as a I would a hard drive, Device Manager says the "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)", even though I have installed LG Mobile Driver from here. When I try to root the phone, LG Root Script just hangs on the screen that reads "Waiting for Device...". This process has worked for me in the past, but I cannot determine why it does not now.
A few notes:
Album of Pics
Phone is seen under My Computer
I have tried this process on CyanogenMod 12 and 13 with the same results.
CyanogenMod Version: 12.1-20151117
Android Version: 5.1.1
MTP Enabled
Developer Option Root Access set to: Apps and ADB
Android Debugging: Enabled
Thank you for your help!
Bump. Any suggestions?
Is the phone unlocked? If not get the unlock code from t-mobile. You can also buy ALL the different unlock codes for about 12 bucks from several online services. I then used kingroot to root my d-851. I installed twrp, ROM, turned on root in developer options and all was good. If you want to remove kingroot afterwards, go to https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...0ZScx8RT3Fc5HzFTA&sig2=OwVgKQIMCJAXMHTcO_WLmw for instructions. Hope my experience helps you.
