bootloop and no factory reset in bootloader - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
My wife is experiencing a bootloop with her wildfire.
It boots up to "HTC quietly brilliant " and reboots.
But when i go into the bootloader there is no factory reset option.
I tried recovery but it displays a black screen with a phone and a big red sign.
Can you help me? Is it possible to recover her data?
Thanks

When on the recovery screen ( the big red !) While holding volume up and power a new menu should appear. See attached. Try wiping the cache first and see if it boots. Failing that factory reset the device. This will wipe everything but the sd card.

HTC Desire HD not starting up after wipe

After i wiped my htc in recovery with Android revolution superwipe, i rebooted it by mistake without installing the new rom. Now if i start the phone, its stuck on the htc logo bit. Anyone got any idea how i can fix this?
Thanks
Pull the battery out
Hold down power and volume down button
Should boot into the android boot loader
Then use the volume down and up to navigate and click recovery with the power button should boot into your recovery system where you can flash a backup or new rom

Bootloop

I'm trying to fix my mates phone. He has never flashed a custom ROM or done anything like that to the phone, but his phone is stuck on a bootloop.
I booted into the boot loader but the volume keys won't work so I can't do a factory reset.
What do I need to do?
Cheers
Try take out the sdcard and then boot to boot loader and see if the v keys work.

HTC Desire stuck on White HTC Logo screen, tried everything!

I have an HTC Desire CDMA that I'm trying to fix for someone. It is stuck on the HTC Logo screen. I CAN get into the bootloader but CANNOT get into recovery. It just goes back to the logo screen and freezes. Here is the bootloader info:

I have tried quite a few different ways to fix it but can't figure it out. It won't recognize any PB99IMG.zip files or be recognized by a computer via USB. I DO have another rooted Desire so I'm thinking maybe I can use that to put files on a microSD card or something?

I am also thinking maybe there's a way I can flash some kind of clockworkmod recovery or a recovery of some kind through fastboot so i can just flash a new ROM. But I am S-on so I don't believe I can

Try reflashing recovery via Fastboot Commander or a similar utility.
Then get back into Recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot again.
It says I need to have S-off in order to use the tool. But my Desire is S-on

Also when I have tried a few methods using an RUU most of them restart the bootloader before starting the update and upon doing so the device shuts off and won't restart. After sitting on a black screen on the device my PC will say "cannot connect to device, make sure the USB cable is connected and the device is turned on"

HELP! Device stuck on loading screen

So my HTC one m8 is stuck on the loading screen with the green HTC screen... What can I do to fix it ???
Hold power button and volume up at the same time until it reboots
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you still stuck after that and are running a custom ROM with e.g. TWRP as recovery hold Volume down and Power button to reboot into bootloader. From there you can select recovery. Do a wipe of cache and dalvik cache. Then reboot into system.
