I'll get in before it's closed as well...
CSROM ThaBMB with the IX (InstagatorX) TW kernel.
For that matter, I've used the IX TW kernel with all TW based ROMs I've used.

PAC-5/4 with stock kernel. runs like a champ. great battery after 2-3 cycles

Stock cm10.1 is hard to beat.

Deviant Xone with bms, most recent of these. Haven't had any problems. Had a tough time deciding what to flash, but after reading through several threads, itsmikeramsay seems like the nicest and most responsive dev, with the most collegial thread.

S3Rx for me has been the best combo for stability and features. Complete with Aroma installer.

Stable JB ROM

Whats the most stable JB ROM for this phone for every day use ..
Within my own test between AOSP Alpha6 (Sbrissen) and CM10 Alpha 5.3 + nightlies included (PhantomPhreak) I found AOSP JB by Sbrissen more stable. (Alpha6)
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah my favorite jb rom is SBs I've had good success with that
-TeaM VeNuM Like A Boss
I run Paranoid Rom for a few says and it was stable for me...
depends on set up most if not all have same kernel so sbrissen is the most stable but if you need a little bit more customization paranoid android is next
It's tablet mode in PA optional? I'm not a big fan of tablet UI on phones.

Max I got from my tests with AOSP was about 6+ hours and CM10 about 4+hours and some lockups on the latter then downhill not even 3.5hrs
I will try again with pegasusq+noop and UC to 900 to see is there are some difference. I was using pegasusq+sio UC to 1000
Stability on AOSP awesome battery not that awesome.
Stability and Battery on CM10 not that great.

Def Sbrissen by far :thumbup::thumbup:
Do you guys suffer with random reboots a lot? seems like all the JB roms ive tried start to randomly reboot after an hour or so
Gotta throw my vote in for cna. It was just released last night but it's extremely stable!

I flashed CM10 Alpha 5.3 yesterday, and so far have had a great experience. GPS works great (initial lock took a bit, but now just a few seconds between locks). The 4G/WiMax was working great (where I've got 4G reception. Lawrence is not great for that). Plenty responsive when switching between apps. Google Now works great, both voice search and cards. I've been running it for almost 24 hours, and no real complaints. I'd recommend checking it out. :good:

Probably similar to the other CM10 based ROMs. They use the same kernel and ROM base after all. It seems the best battery life on the JB ROMs is with Sbrissen's pure Google ROM, but individual factors of each user does play a part.

is there a way to make it so this rom is not ugly? the guy managed to take touchwiz and make it the most visually unappealing thing ever. why did he add more rows for apps? it looks so terrible urgh... even the boot logo ****

I might have used it except the notification bar was unusably vandalized and unreadable with animated gif... I could have set fastboot=1 or replaced bootanimation, but i liked 99% of the SystemUI. Everything else about it was wonderful.. kernel, optimized, lots of good stuff (well boot animation a little over the top) but SystemUI was unusable like that.
When I first got my s3 I waited about a month before I rooted. I got used to the stock experience. Couldn't believe how clunky and slow the stock experience on the s3 was after I finally got it rooted! The first ROM I flashed was Casper's 9/20 AOKP build. Definitely butter for sure!
Just flashed the newly released build 3 AOKP...kernel is included. I've tried almost every other ROM and I keep going back to AOKP. CM10 is about the only one I haven't tried yet.

Most stable kernel to you

What is the most stable kernel for you? I'm currently on Faux's kernel for the Jedi Mind Trick ROM and I have a slight issue with overheating.
^ +1
Have never downloaded a kernel till last night. I am on TQF and Unofficial SlimBean, and i have yet to have a problem and i am loving my phone so much right now with these two together.
Jedikernel 2 stock uvlhi, a stable minded system.

I have tried almost all the JB kernels, and I think Lightning Zap is the best, getting awesome performance and battery life running ALL STAR v5.
I'm running cm10 nightlies 12192012 and I'm using the kko.12 and better life is good if you under clock and under volt but other wise has awesome performance
very much like lightning zap but basically lightning zap was built off kko.12 so either its a preferential thing and they both run smooth
As far as stability goes, features aside, I've found stock, faux, and Jedi 2 all very stable.

Just matter of what works vest with our phone....lean kernel works best for me personally where as the others make my phone hot or drain it faster. Deviant works best for my friend whereean makes her phone hot....just try all the popular kernels for two full charges and see which gives better battery life.....and doesn't blow up your phone with the heat

agreed. i've found that lean or kor kernel works best for me.
:good:
Not sure why this was bumped but in case anyone is still following along, all kernels preform differently for all devices. Your best bet is to try them all. When I have a new device it may sound weird and all, I flash the kernel with the most thread views and try them in descending order. This way you are trying what appears to be giving most people the best results and if you don't like your results ,continue your venture.
For Touchwiz I prefer however kt747 simply because Team Kernelizer has some awesome files for undervolting. The other kernels are pretty swell too.

embryo 6-11 or jedi mind trick JB 5
Do believe slim is also not aokp
There are some older TW roms running GB and ICS might wanna check those out. I dont know about battery life but I would believe a close to stock GB rom would get better battery then fully fledged TW UX jelly bean rom but thats just me. Id experiment a bit because im sure everyones battery status is different depending on the manufacturing quality or how the battery was used. Good luck! :good:
I always found tw ICS stock koodo was best battery for me. Mines always ****ty though, 14 hours max a day with only 1 hr screen usage
