Battery life

Not really sure what is going on with my battery life. after 5 hours I am down to 50%. Is this normal? I am using the new beginning ROM by Tuesday.

5 hour display time!? sick battery life
Lol um yea I usually last about 13 hours total outer charge with moderate/heavy use and using juice defender to disable data while screens not in use..

No about 2 hour display time.

I thought juice defender drained the battery?

Well you thought wrong lol it gives an extra couple hours with use and it'll last about 4 days if I barely use out

so you get 2 hours display time at 50%...
so you get about 4 hours display time total?
Well all i can say is...
WELCOME~! you have average battery life for the t989! other devices barely break 3 hours! congrats!
2 hours of display time (also depending on how bright you have had it) with 50% left is pretty good.
I'd have to disagree that 2 hours is good, I'd call it subprime. Do some searching on XDA. There are plenty of wonderful tutorials and guides to small things you can do to help it out quite a bit.

Confused

Does this mean my display has used 84% of my battery. Its been off the whole night.

No, your battery is still at 97% so out of the 3% consumed, 84% of that 3% was used by the screen. Those percentages represent which apps have used the amount of battery used since off charger. Savvy?

High battery usage

I unplugged my note 2 for 4 hours ago. Not used it. Only screen off. And battery dropped down to 89%. In 4 hours. Is that normal?

Mophie juice pack

Got a mophie juice pack a couple of weeks ago. Has a 2300mha battery and is supposed to double my battery life, however will not fully recharge my phone from say about 30 percent. It will get it up to about 80 to 90 or so. This is with the phone on and low to moderate use. Curious what others are experiencing and if this is about right or if I need me a new one.

its not supposed to FULLY recharge your phone. if your phone is turned off while it charges, then yeah you'll get more juice out of it. I've been using the mophie case on my gs3 and havent had any problems.. when i'm at work at my battery is at 30% or so and i flip on my mophie case, it will get me up to about 80 or 90% with time.. which is enough to get me through work till i get home i'll also add that i use my phone at work alot lol
I use the 1500mah Powerskin and it goes about 30 to 50-60, so you are about right. Remember that you aren't just using the extra mah - it has to be converted up to 5v (with losses) to feed your charge port, then your phone's charging circuitry has additional losses. Probably 20-30% of the extra juice is wasted, no way to avoid that.

Mine is about the same. I have a bad habit in using the phone while it's charging by the juice pack. At least I can an make it through a full work day with heavy use. Shorter when tethering.

It's because when the juice pack is plugged in, the phone is in usb charge mode, not a/c mode. If you are rooted, and your rom supports usb fast charge, you should be good to go.

Good info
Here are some photos of the Mophie juice pack in white on a white s3.

I enabled fast charge and made a big difference as far as charge speed, but got pretty warm. Not sure its too good for the phone or the case so probably going to just use it normally.

Battery issues

Hey guys so I recently purchased 2 anker batteries and they've been alright but I'm having this problem where phone shuts off outta no where and when I have to take off battery and put in again, thing is when it turns back on I've lost 50% of battery energy. I already calibrated battery and clean flashed rom and same issue. Also what's the best way to condition new batterys as soon as you get them?
