I haven't updated my HTC One X for ages, and therefore I'm still running IceColdJelly 4.1. I had previously used CM10, but it had far too many bugs to be usable, so I was wondering if it is now at a usable stage. Currently, there is:
CyanogenMod 10.1
Slim Bean
IceColdJelly
Carbon ROM
AOSP
Thanks for the help,
cyr0s.
IceColdJelly is not aosp its aokp
however it has most mods and support + battery life . when i am sick of sense this is my choice to go
CM10.1
I think cm 10.1 is the best out there :good:
It won't give you a very large collection of futures to play with, but the performance and battery life of this rom aren't match by any other aosp in my opinion !
I would suggest you to download the snapshot.
Sorry but comparison threads are not allowed.

use LordClockan's AOKP ROM, its very good
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796340
use tbalden's CM10, its most stable and fast ROM at present
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696
and if you want pure AOSP ROM, then try tgascoigne's ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763240
For best battery and performance, either use faux kernel or franco's kernel
I prefer Stock kernel for its stability and i don't prefer underclocking or overclocking my device

Hello everyone!
I want to install a new rom onto my arc s, but i don't know what should i choose?
There's the latest CAMPS (i like it because of the tablet mode) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1928416
and Slim Bean :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1959054
and Jelly Bean 4.1.2:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1979829
and if anyone has another rom PLEASE give me a link.
Thank you.
Try them out and see.
I think CM10 from FXP is most stable AOSP
AOKP by KXP is most feature packed AOSP
But these don't have stock camera HDMI and such working.
If you want AOSP UI with stock features like Sony Camera and HDMI but is stable and fast maybe you should try my ROM beautiful ICS
If you want just a stock ROM with NXT features which is stable and fast then my favourite for that is jaders Ultimate HD Rom.
Depends on what you want

dinesh690, Thank you for your reply.
I REALLY like your rom, i just wish if you could make a jellybean version.
These threads aren't encouraged on the forums as no one can tell you what's best for you. The only way to find out is by going through the Development section, reading the changelogs/features and then trying them out for yourself. This is all part of the fun of being on one of the largest development communities available
Thanks

Hello,
I didn't like stock ROM so I tried Android Revolution HD and Omega. These ROMs were good for me until I found CM 10.1. I'm using CM for some weeks, it's great ROM but it's not very stable (using nightly build). So can anybody recommend me similar ROM as CM? I want really stable and fast ROM with regular updates and author's interest in improving his ROM.. Love CM features so I hope somebody helps me
Thank you very much.

Liquid Smooth http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295554
LiquidSmooth is based on Android 4.2.2 and features many of the modifications found on other popular custom ROMs. As the name suggests, the ROM is meant to be as smooth and responsive as possible. The software and hardware buttons and the status bar can be customized. Themes are also supported.

Arco really awesome ^^ will remember him as a hero for our W.
and thanks to the other developer who work hard to make our Wonder become Wonderfull. :highfive:
I'm very interested in PACman rom since it's the hybrid of 3 godly roms in 1 xD! Sadly, the dev of that rom for our phone is outdated (maybe even discontinued)
You can try Root-Box and liquid smooth... it was the same with PAC-Man. 3 in 1. jUst different name, tweaks, style, and maybe more stable
My eye is locked at Liquid Smooth too! No base! If im not wrong...

Liquid Smooth really awsome but i think gaming performance is not good
I am using Liquidsmooth and it's superb awesome...
L.Smooth is the combination of AOKP, PA, and CM.
That ROM is aim for performance ^_^
It does not BASE from CM. but combination..
It just take Arco kernel, and compile the original liquid smooth rom
CoRrect me if i am wrong:highfive:
I am pretty sure the gaming will good too :good:
Try using MArdiadi or hurtsky kernel if u want have a good gaming experience.
Love Liquid Smooth...

Hi.
My LT26 is actually on rom stock .211 (tried .96, better battery but trouble with camefa focus).
Was is a good rom for JB 4.2.2 (and what kernel with it) ?
It seems that 4.3 roms are still in testing sequence ?
Thks.
in my opinion the 4.3 rom is more stable than the 4.2.2's I've been using it daily since it's release and never any issues

4.2 rom
I think... PAC rom might be want you are looking for, but I'm not sure... :-?
Different flavours...
Hello,
during the last few months, I tried several roms. If you rely on HDMI and want to have the best from your camera (but not the newest features), you should stick with modifications of the Xperia rom.
Most of the time I had SlimBean on my Xperia S, but they have for now finished the development, stopped with a (in my opinion very good) 4.2.2 stable version. For me it worked perfectly on a everyday basis, stable, fast, and with a very nice all-black interface (as most roms offer now). You can download it on their website. And here is the link to the according xda-thread. But many links on that forum thread are now dead, as the downloads have been moved to the "Old Releases" section on the website. If you want to use another kernel with it, I chose the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel, but I did not find any differences in comparison to the stock SlimBean kernel. Don't use 3.4 kernels with the 4.2.2 SlimBean Roms! SlimBean relies on 3.0 kernels, here is a discussion about this topic.
But now I wanted to have some android 4.3 running, and so far I see only two options for that:
The PAC beta1 which I have currently installed (still some issues there, but is OK for daily use and FAST), and the AOSP alpha1 which I have not tested so far.
I hope this helped you a little bit! If so -> thanks-button is waiting
RC2 kernel should be the same as slim bean hence not noticing any difference.
I'm still on aosp 4.3 and it's still consistently smooth and fast

OpenSEMC beta2 with SlimBean, NOT the RC2
Hello,
as corrected by now, I made a mistake in my post above, it is the OpenSEMC beta2 kernel you need for the use with SlimBean, NOT the RC2.
In this post is an according link (second one).
Any forecast about a stock JB 4.3 launch for XS? When?
