I am searching the best battery and performance rom. i would say aosp roms provide that kind of things. So here i am asking which AOSP rom or AOKP rom do u prefer based on battery and performance.

use LordClockan's AOKP ROM, its very good
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796340
use tbalden's CM10, its most stable and fast ROM at present
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696
and if you want pure AOSP ROM, then try tgascoigne's ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1763240
For best battery and performance, either use faux kernel or franco's kernel
I prefer Stock kernel for its stability and i don't prefer underclocking or overclocking my device

I'm using insertcoin but the battery life is so bad and on every other rom similar, i don't want to change the rom for a while, can u recommend me some battery effitient kernels for sense- based roms? (gingerbread)
Nothing. There is no other kernel ATM - still no source code. you have to wait.
This is not asking what is the best sense rom out there or anything I'm just wanting to know what are your personal experiences with sense roms that have the best battery life? Or what rom and kernel combos worked best for you and gave you the best battery life? Thanks ahead of time everyone!

I have been running this stock ROM+ for almost 2 days... I don't have Tiny's latest kernel on this one yet, but so far this has been the worst ROM I've flashed as far as battery life is concerned.
I haven't tried other GB Sense roms, but my battery life has improved using the Stock+ rom versus my previous Froyo Virtuous Rom.
Hey guys i need help!
Which Rom has a better performance a good battery life for our device?
Is it stock or our new JB Rom or is it cm7 rom?

Stock rom sucks.
I never tried the CM7 rom.
The jb rom is still in alpha stage. But you could try the slimbean rom. Many says that it has a good battery life and smooth.
But i recommend you to install CM9 rc2. Good performance and battery life. Also more stable and less bugs compared to the jb roms. I also install castagnaIT kernel on my CM9 rc2 roms. Works great.
Hope this helps
if u still want to use GB (for the camera purpose) i recommend the GB gaming rom from bacrot..if u r ok with the cm9 camera go for it.most said its the best..n also u can try d slim rom just as our friend said

Previously i was on cm9, and i'm ok with the camera, but the one and only thing that make me pissed off is, the rom is quite laggy..
And guys, one more question,
Do i need to swap to make the rom smoother? As i know, this device have quite large rom space..
i think slimbean is suitable for u
Try the SlimBean ROM! And also flash forvivos kernel... Do this with Pristine, after that install seeders... The best ROM youll have...

OK.. I'm Using SonygenMOD ROM on my Xperia PLAY. [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244764 ] Its a JB ROM & the battery life is not that good. I wanted to know does the KERNEL's effect the phone battery life? If yes, then which is the best KERNEL for JB ROM which will give more battery life? And does the Kernels effect the smoothness of the ROM also?
To my knowledge the kernel and rom both can effect the battery life and the "smoothness" of the phone. I recommend the Lupus JB kernel because the dev does a good job at what he does and the last time i tried it, the kernel worked great. It's still a better option to check all the jb kernels out, like turbo kernel, for yourself first though.

What rom do you guys recommend in terms of raw gaming power, GB rom? ICS rom? JB rom? CM9/10/10.1?
Please tell me actual experience on the rom and not just showing benchmarks, I don't trust them(benchmarks) as they don't really apply to real life use

As far as I've experienced, stock ICS is the best!
I'd recommend EOS with OpenSEMC Beta 3 or stock JB with modded kernel for OC.
Stock JB with Forzaferrarileo kernel/Stock GB with DooMKerneL/EOS/CM9.
If you're looking for performance, I'd use Stock JB with DoomKernel to use OC. But, as I see, there's not so much performace differences between Stock JB and other custom roms based on AOSP/CM.

Wow looks like everyone had different opinions. Thank you all for the feedback I think I'm gonna take the time and try every rom to see which one suits me best
For gaming performance, you can try Trinity ROM & Kernel. But I haven't test it yet, not sure.
Sent from my flying Snapdragon Xperia™ S using Tapatalk 4
All stock Sony ROMs.
I didn't try any custom rom
but for stock rom, JB is the best
.200 and .211 are both great and smooth
u should try trinity's kernel for stock based ROMS not only can u overclock processor but also overclock the 2D and 3D GPU performance.....i played Asphalt 7 and Modern Combat 4 and not a single stutter.
Or try PAC with Kernel 3.4. It is really fast even without OC.
Possibility to overclock CPU/GPU will be included in later releases.
Camera/Torch is working with today's release, but only 8MPX photos for now.
