[theme] Anastasia black dialer & white dialer /Update 18.1.2011

hello guys i made my own dialer and i decide to share my work .
-special thx to dinik for the great dialer , more info click here
-special thx to the tab icons maker , sorry i couldnt remember the name of the dev hope someone would mention it.
How to Install?
1- back up your system.
2-my rom is I9000JPJPG , so i donna if this should work on other roms.
2-phone must be rooted.
2- unzip the file
3- use root explorer to place DialerTabActivity.apk to system/app
4- reboot .
5- Settings > Applications > Manage applications >Running> com.sec.android.app.twlauncher and then force stop, clear data

Note: i've noticed some of theme makers used this mod and they didnt mention this thread ever !!!
Rule: all theme makers u Allowed to use this mod but u have to mention Orignal thead by dinik(special thx to him) and this thread(thread that make this mod work on ur galaxy s device)

Managed to run it.but had to edit them a bit.will post the modified contacts.apk and dialertabactivity.apk for jpy later.
EDIT:
apks attached,see below.thogh the files for twframework are still needed,you have to apply them manually (I can't provide the twframework.apk cause there so many different themes).
may I apply them to my theme?

yes sure ..i just upload the png files that control the dialer tab background ..so this will not touch ur device theme ever

if not adding the provided files for twlauncher,the upper bar is still light blue and not that black as shown above.

u have to drag & drop the png files in twframework-res above into urs ..

I really love the dialer! Could someone please provide a CWM flashable update zip, please?

you have them to put manually to the "drawable-hdpi" folder in your twframework.apk
I integrated this in my theme,too.

So I need to just copy paste inside the folder using root explorer, because framework-res.apk is shown as a file. I cannot open it as a folder. Any guidance here to help.

use rootexplorer to copy your twframework.apk to your phne's sd card.then copy it to your pc and open it using winrar or winzip.then replace the corresponding files in the folder "drawable-hdpi" with the provided ones.then copy the twframework.apk back on your sd card and then to system/app using rootexplorer.
rename your twframework.apk to twframework.apk.bak first to have a backup.

How to build apps icon pack:
Things you require:
-Base VRTheme-Here!(Don't worry there are no trojans)
-Some icons-Here are my AOSP icons.
-Required apps from the ROM which you want to modify.
-Notepad++ for changing updater-script.
-Any resizing tool.
-A brain to avoid mistakes and bother me with stupid questions.
-Kindness to press the THANKS button below.

Steps:
1. Download all the things required.
2. Open your ROM and copy all the apps and move them to a seperate folder. Here we will take only 3 apps-Browser, Messaging and Calculator.

3. Now extract these apps using 7zip or winrar.
4. Now open the app folder, go to res and find the location where the icon of the app is present. These are generally present in mipmap-xhdpi or drawable-xhdpi. For e.g. in Browser app it's present in mipmap-xhdpi named as ic_launcher_browser.png:
5. Now extract the VRTheme base folder and go to vrtheme->system->app and make a new folder their with named as appname.apk(Here appname refers to the name of the app). For e.g. Browser.apk in my case.
6. Now make res folder in it. And under res folder make another folder which contains app icon. For e.g res->mipmap-xhdpi in my case:
7. Now place your modified icon in it and rename it to the original icon name. For e.g. ic_launcher_browser.png in my case. And resize it to 96X96. Please do not resize mdpi or hdpi icons or else they will pixelize and blur.
8. Do the same for other apps. In my case calculator and messaging.
9. Now give this icon pack your name. Go to META-INF->com->google->android and open updater-script with notepad++ and in second line replace alokbina with your name. You can practically change almost everything under ui_print in updater-script but remember that it should be in the format ui_print("ABCD"); . Here replace ABCD with whatever you like.
10. Now you will be having 4 folders- data, META-INF, system, vrtheme and an image named as preview. Zip all these and rename it whatever you like and flash it with CWM and you're done! Enjoy your own icon pack Feel free to THANK me :laugh:

It was just a part of villain flasher if u want u can change the spaces given in it with ur icons

[Request] Custom Lock Screen Ring

Hello,
i attached my own Logo with my framework-res.apk please can someone edit my Logo that i can use it as my Lock Screen Ring.
Some Animations when I touch the logo where really awesome.
Sorry but I dont have the skills to do that myself.

Yes you have to select your cm update file (from the Rom you are currently using. But don't worry zipthemer won't replace the whole Rom, just the framework-res file

That won't change
Where did you get your lockring ? And how did you make the zip attached in your first post ?
Edit : ok I checked your zip file and in fact it doesn't work like that
Actually you should download one real flickering zip file from an xda themer(like in the link an another user posted in this topic) and then replace the file you want in title and finally follow my tutorial.

I replace both Pictures (162x162 px for hdpi and 216x216 px for xhdpi) with mine but they have the same size.
Can I use smaller sizes?

No use the same file size but reduce the ring size in the file and complete it with transparency

Request : Transparent notification bar for nexus 7 3g

can any one tell me how to get transparent notification bar on nexus 7 3g (jdq39)
i have searched almost every forum available for transparent notification bar...but till now i have got nothing
except that it has some lines to be edited in super_status_bar.xml
so please if any one have any idea about it..tell me i will edit the lines on my self and test it and if succesful i will upload it as well.

transparent notification bar
but you r using a custom rom. i am talking about having this feature on stock rom. not that feature in settings. just having the system ui modified

xcept that .png part rest all i have tried...but it doesnt work...i really need this transparent notification bar...i hate this dark notification and navigation bar...and i dont wanna use any custom rom

You must not change any png files.
The only things you must change is: (Thes file MUST be deodexed)
android.policy.jar
--> /com/android/internal/policy/impl/PhoneWindowManager.smali
SystemUI.apk
--> /com/android/systemui/statusbar/phone/PhoneStatusBar.smali
--> /res/layout/navigation_bar.xml
--> /res/layout-sw600dp/navigation_bar.xml
--> /res/values/drawables.xml

[Q][solved] how to change aweful grey background of settings windows?

i tried to change the aweful grey background in the popup windows by changing some png´s in framework-res.
But it didn´t work...
Anybody an idea or a tutorial how to do that successfully?
p.s. i don´t want to change all colors installing another theme - so this is no solution...

Have you not tried my suggestion in your last thread asking about this. Download my GreenGlow theme and compare images, if you've changed an image but it doesn't show on the Phone then you've not changed the right image. File names are also a give away, look in your framework for images with "popup" in the file name.

Didn´t find the "right" png´s or whatever is needed to change - very annoying.
I think i have too less knowlegde for doing this ...

Dialog, menu and popup images are what you need to look for then, those are menus in your screenshots. Welcome to Android theming.

I had the same amount of knowledge as you do right now when I first joined but you're never going to get that knowledge if you don't want to learn or at the least, use a bit of initiative. I've put this together to show you what you need to be looking for, and how many images there are to change...

you need to change the files in drawable-xhdpi dont for get you need .9 patch the png files that end with .9

As Pakman123 said, the drawable-xhdpi, .9 images are easy to edit, just make sure you leave the 1 pixel border intact and only edit decompiled .9s, you can straight copy and replace them though. I still ask questions now and again so I can assure you this wont be your last. :good:
