Sony LT26i Xperia s cracked screen

Hi folks,
I am new here. Yesterday, my smartphone accidentally fell on the ground, and on the bad side. I did not have a protecting case on it, and the display cracked. The weird thing is that the display is still functional, works as good as it worked when the screen was not cracked. Since I used ezSEMC to unlock my phone, and I have also rooted my phone, my warranty is voided. Thus I am wondering what part should I get, and where to buy it online.

I had the same problem and mines currently off getting fixed. Most bank accounts have mobile insurance included or optional so i got mine sorted that way. It's an expensive fix otherwise!

Hey! Did anyone try to take off an original screen protector from xperia arc s before? I mean this one which comes already on from new. I scratched it quite hard and i wonder is there is any trick or tutorial around to replace it?

I've just ruined my xplay screen (don't ask how) so I've got black spots on the screen (water), now I'm looking for the replacement but in my country (poland) prices are unbelievably high, I've found

Umm. You can never spot fakes until you installed the new display on your xperia play. Or compare your display to theirs.

Odp: Original screen replacement? How can I recognise fakes?
So could you point me to the place which is supported by Sony or somebody else so I'd have some kind of proof that it's original? You know just particular site, user, seriously, anything that could help me with correct choice, worldwide shipping is a must.

EBay Its your best bet if you look for something cheap... I've got parts fit different things and never had a problem... And what do u mean by original?...as long as it fits and works that's the main thing....just do a good search

I bet your not an ebay buyer, if you were you would've been aware of ebay's buyer protection programs against merchant scams. Its not hard to spot fakes you just have to be aware of what the display looks like.

Then please tell me how it looks like and to which part of the display I should payattention. Screenshot/picture would be nice. And yeah, I'm not eBay buyer, duh, I'venever bought anything on eBay in my life. I've always used polish eBay/amazon which is www.allegro.pl it's only for Poland afaik but prices of screen replacements are too high.

SOLVED [Q] mobile fell off from second floor

:laugh:Hi guys i need some help to figure out before replacement;
my phone felt from my window on the second floor, the screen is NOT CRACKED, my touch screen is working BUT i can't see a thing, when i press power button the screen flashes or sometimes black and white stripes appears.
What do you think it is?
Do i need to replace everything(touch screen and LCD)?
PLEASE HELP, people are charging me an unbelievable price.:crying:

Either the inner screen broke or the flex cable came loose. What phone do you have?

Try the Sony service centre. They might give you the answer why your phone isn't working. Free of charge.

i got xperia s, i already bought from ebay the LCD+TOUCH, I'm just figuring out how to get through the screen

I just sorted it out. i disassembled it and figure out that the screen is really glued to the plastic, so I unglue it with a pic and i replaced myself. It cost me 65euros in total...

Wow! You repaired it in one day The fastest fix I ever seen... BTW. When I was on practice(school practice, one month) fixing phone l(ordering i.e.screen + touch, and replacing) takes one week. Good to hear that you repaired it so fast and next time hold your phone harder

I also love disassemble phone but not such a experience phones like Xperia S :] I prefer old phones like W995, K800i

Where did you find the LCD +touchscreen? In currently looking for a replacement for Xperia Acro s. My touchscreen is very scratched.
