Hey! Did anyone try to take off an original screen protector from xperia arc s before? I mean this one which comes already on from new. I scratched it quite hard and i wonder is there is any trick or tutorial around to replace it?

There are post within this forum on the subject.
And it not hard to find on ebay the replacement screen or the full replacement housing
Use search puttom, but screen best buy on ebay and replace by yourself its not hard. best way to protect new screen buy sgp glas.
I was foolishly opening a lock at night, using my phone as a flashlight, and then I dropped it. It cracked.
My OCD will not allow me to use this phone without fixing the screen. I'm willing to DIY it, but I'm not sure if buying digitizers from Ebay is safe. They're only $15, after all. I'd expect them to be a bit more, but what do I know? I just dropped my phone while opening a lock!
It won't let me post Ebay links yet, but I guess I can just ask if you know of any legitimate digitizers for the Xperia play.
PS: If it matters at all, I own the R800x.
I'd recommend searching on Ebay and look mainly for trusted people's comments. But are you sure you would know how to put it back?

I bought digitizer + frame twice from ebay. Digitizer worked well but there was something that I dont like, there
were many fingerprint on the digitizer.

I dropped my onex and managed to break the screen. I replaced it with a galaxy note 2 but I still love the onex and would like to salvage it for use with my second line.
Has anyone had any success with having the the onex screen repaired?

I dropped mine too and replaced the screen myself. If you have a little experience you won't find it difficult. Btw you can watch many how to videos on YouTube and find fairly cheap genuine replacements on eBay.

I never did it myself, there are several guides on YouTube but I think the most crucial step is ordering the right part ie screen+digitizer already put together and not one of those parts seperately.
most likely only your digitizer is broken, not the screen itself but it is rely hard to place a new digitizer yourself, a big chance of misalignment or capturing air or dust
I have ordered mine from ebay screen+digitizer together, i tryed first to detach the digitizer but i broke the lcd its almost imposible to do so...believe me im quite skillfull with electronics.
Replaced two broken touches + lcds in my service. No problems, but this is my work
I replaced the screened on my atrix with a so called genuine one from eBay but it scratched right up in a few days so I'm guessing it wasn't quite as genuine gorilla glass as the original.

I had screen protector on my Arc S and i took it off, i was wondering if there is another one, btw it was on when I got my phone, and it was like an ordinary screen protector when I took it off. So my question is, is this scratch resistant glass under it? And do I need another screen protector?
Thanks in advance...

Xperia arc doesn't have scrach resistant glas it has a factory screen protector that comes built in and it pretty hard to remove it,but if you remove that screen protector than you need to put on another one 'cause your screen is gonna get scratched. My built in screen protector was scratched so i removed it but i applied a new one,it's not as god as original but it keeps my phone from scratching.

you should try the spigel anti-glare screen protector its works pretty good. my arc still has the original screen protector on it and i applied the Spigel Anti-Glare protector. =D
Hi,
Does anyone tried this digitizer? My friend have this phone and crack the glass, but the screen is intact.
I was going to buy from ebay, but then I checked etradesupply and found that one, without the screen.. Is it easy to install? Otherwise I found this one too .
Thanks
First one is only glass, dont have chip. So buy second one.
