Can anyone direct me on where I can find S Motion controls in Tasker? I want my Note 2 to turn off S Motion at time X, and turn it back on at time Y. I know how to automatically turn on/off functions at specific times, but I don't know where to locate the S Motion controls in Tasker (I know how to find it in Settings). I tried looking through all the Task sub-menus without any luck. I tried searching, but nothing specific to S Motion is out there.

I have set up a few profiles with tasker. Some are set to turn silent mode on under certain conditions. All the other tasks seem to work e.g. screen rotation on, auto brightness off etc but for some reason silent mode doesn't always turn on.
I have volume ace installed and previously used it to shedule silent mode. I have turned off the sheduling.
Does anyone know why tasker is having problems engaging silent mode?
If I go into tasker and play the task it seems to work fine. It just won't always engage silent mode on its own.
Working fine for me, take it you're using the paid version & you arnt using the trail & it has run out? Maybe try uninstalling the other app you were talking about? Maybe that's why you're getting problems with tasker not working how it should be?

I have been having a play. I was using the trial version but it hadn't run out. Tasker gives me a low memory notification and afterwards seems to act unreliably. It isn't just silent mode, I have noticed other taskes not being performed properly I have Total recall, Lightflow and Doubletwist (with airtwist) all running.
Is there a way round this low memory issue without removing any other programs?
I'm trying to set up tasker to turn GPS on when I start Navigation and a couple of other GPS-dependant apps, but because I'm not rooted I can't use Secure Settings plugin or get the D-Pad to turn GPS on from Location Settings menu.
But the GPS switch on the Power Saving widget turns GPS on with one click, and it doesn't open the Location Settings menu to have me check the box. So what is it that makes it do that? Is it a script? If it is, can that same script be sent to Tasker? If not, can whatever it is be put into tasker?
Thanks
Hello all,
I am wondering if anybody has any ideas on how i can set my bluetooth and wireless to automatically turn off if they haven't connected to anything in 15 or 30 minutes.
The reason i want to do this is after i leave my home i don't need my wifi until i get back home and after i leave my car i don't need my bluetooth until i get back in it at the end of the day, sometimes i forget these things are still on and they slowly eat at the battery...
I've got the Samsung S3 (AT&T) (i747m Canadian version) although its been rooted and installed CM 10.1 nightly build March 06 there must be some way to do this.
thanks for any ideas!
Alex
Not sure about Bluetooth but you can adjust WiFi settings in the WiFi menu within the advance settings

For the wifi, try out this app... it will just blip the wifi every time you unlock the screen, and if a network is available it will leave it on, if not it will turn it off. When the screen is off, it will turn off wifi, depending on your traffic settings. Blipping the wifi on uses very little power, so it is very efficient to do it this way. LOVE this app.

As for the bluetooth, only way I know of is using Tasker... there is a profile available in the tasker wiki that will turn off unused bluetooth after a few minutes.
Also, wrong section...

Using NFC on the GS3 I came across this YouTube video on using NFC tags with the GS3. With with an app like NFC Task Launcher you can configure your phone to turn on/off wifi, bluetooth, or just about any task or series of tasks you'd like.
Hi,
anyone using tasker to change configuration on the watch and/or on the phone?
Watch and phone are rooted.
My first idea is to automate the display brightness setting by day/time.
Another idea would be, using the custom kernel, to modify the colors to simulate a sundown mode like I use on the phone via cflumen.
With this I think I could dim the watch in the dock too.
And when the watch is on AC (in the dock), the phone should be set to not mute notifications.
If you haven't tried yet, Autowear Tasker plugin is almost what you want... but keep in mind to work through Tasker because you don't have the option to backup Autowear actions running on watch.
I change the brightness of my watch with AutoWear and Tasker. Works perfect.
You need Wear Shell. There are posts there of how to use Tasker Intentsl

And a thread on Wear Shell + Tasker recipes.

I use it to make watch bright when I disconnect from home or work wifi, and dim when I connect.

I also have it set to activate theater mode when I start my sleep tracker.

I'm messing around with an app called Automate to try and create an automatic action to launch Dex when my Bluetooth keyboard is connected. It looks like I would need a command to actually launch Dex. I downloaded Quick Shortcut Maker to see if I could make a shortcut to do this but out of the options it has for Dex, none will do it as far as I can tell. So I am trying to figure out how Dex launches from the Quick Settings Panel, and use that method instead. Anyone have any luck with this?
Try and see how the other Quick Panel buttons work. Figure out how to turn Wifi on/off; Auto-rotation on/off. The flashlight would be a good one, too, since it's primarily only in the Quick Tile.
I have the Samsung keyboard, so there are the connectors on the side of the keyboard that when the case/table are connected controls turning Dex on and off.
