Need Help Getting Out of ClockWorkMod Screen

I'm stuck on the Clockwork Mod recovery screen. Due to an issue detailed here, the gist of which was accidentally installing a kernel designed for the international Galaxy S2, I no longer can use my home and menu keys, and therefore cannot select anything on the Clockwork recovery screen (i.e. "power off"). Removing and replacing the battery just restarts the phone and takes me back to the Clockwork screen. Any help is appreciated!
Regards,
HZ
use vol up and vol down to navigate. Power to select

If so just flash the stock kernel or rom.

i think you have to go through hboot if the device is off. why is that important? it doesnt take that long to go through hboot. if your device iss uo with a custom rom, most support restarting into recovery.
Have to volume down + power to hboot, volume down let the search complete, volume down to recovery, power to select then you will boot to recovery doesnt take too long from a rom with power menu mod you can choose recovery and boot straight in or if your rom doesnt have a power menu mod you can use quick boot from the market to boot straight to recovery

[Q] Unable to Boot into CWM

Hi everyone,
Just recently I restored my phone back to stock from CM10 since I was having some weird issues. I decided to root and rom again but I cant seem to boot into CWM. I flashed CWM through Odin and when I try to boot into CWM it just goes into regular Android recover. I'm holding down the volume up + home + power until it vibrates, then i release power but hold the other two down until the screen shows up.

You might have to do a factory reset in recovery mode. Thats normally the easiest way to get past softbricks.

- pull battery
- then hold home, volume up, and power and release when ever the blue text on top right flashes.
You flashed a TW kernel and not an AOSP one. That's why you got a bootloop
Vol up+power+home

[Q] Galaxy SIII Cyanogenmod 10.1.1 won't boot?!

My phone was working fine for the past few days. I believe I updated my nightly on July 28th. Today I picked up my phone and it randomly crashed. I figured it would just boot up, but it didn't; I took out the battery and replaced it several times and it didn't even go to the spining Cyanogenmod logo. I tried getting it into Recovery mode, but it shuts off 3 seconds after getting it there and tries to perform the same reboot task. Is there some way to factory reset the device w/o recovery mode?
What about download mode? If you can you could always Odin back to stock.

I'd try it, but I need to know what programs to use whilst doing so.
Just attempt to boot into download mode first, search ODIN in the Dev section. Sounds like another S3 is biting the dust.

To get into download mode, hold the power up home and power button simultaneously. Hold until a screen shows up and then press volume up. Do not plug in USB cable until you reach that screen. Launch Odin and flash the root66 md5.tar file and then reboot. Hope that works.
