I'm stuck on the Clockwork Mod recovery screen. Due to an issue detailed here, the gist of which was accidentally installing a kernel designed for the international Galaxy S2, I no longer can use my home and menu keys, and therefore cannot select anything on the Clockwork recovery screen (i.e. "power off"). Removing and replacing the battery just restarts the phone and takes me back to the Clockwork screen. Any help is appreciated!

HZ

While device is off, hold down the 1 key on the keyboard and then power button to enter download mode.
Use ODIN to flash CWM.
While device is off, then hold Vol Down + Camera + Power button to get back into recovery.
If all else fails, ODIN back to stock and try again.

Yes after it boots into CWM if you are going to flash Marcussants Rom then dont use the kernel i listed and ONLY flash his rom. It includes a kernel and is all you need
Im not sure what you did but my rom shouldn't cause this. You probably got a bad download. You have to odin with a pit and repartition. Then just flash away.

Hi everyone,
Just recently I restored my phone back to stock from CM10 since I was having some weird issues. I decided to root and rom again but I cant seem to boot into CWM. I flashed CWM through Odin and when I try to boot into CWM it just goes into regular Android recover. I'm holding down the volume up + home + power until it vibrates, then i release power but hold the other two down until the screen shows up.

Thanks, I'll give that try.
I did a duma$$ move. I flashed a rom on top of a different rom without wiping.
- Phone boots up
- Boot animation displays
- Freezes on 'Android' Screen
- Does not go into Recovery
- Does not go into Download mode
- PC doesn't see it, but pc makes a sound when I plug it in, and drivers attempt to install when I plug in to pc (fail)
- Kies takes a while but I got "This device is not supported by Kies 2.0. Please try again'
Any and all help is appreciated.

That's what I meant lol sorry about that... At least you knew what I was talking about. The tool kit got my phone into download when nothing else would. It worked even when adb wouldn't Thankfully I only has that problem one time

if you got into download mode and odin'ed back to stock and it gets stuck on the "samsung with the blue logo behind it" boot screen than you have to go to stock recovery and wipe data and cache there and reboot, i had the same problem earlier but mine could get into recovery and download mode but it wouldnt wipe the data it would just turn off whenever i tried to

HOLY S-H-I-T SNACKS! I got into download mode. Rather then pressing Volume UP + Home + Power, I did same but Volume Down, and I'm Golden.
Thanks for all the help and Replys. Love this community. I root because this is what we do. I stand behind those that say Samsungs are damn near impossible to brick.

How'd you do that? I might have the same situation.
to get into the stock recovery you hold volume up and home and the power button at the same time, use the volume keys to move up and down and power button to select than wipe data and cache and reboot
My phone is stuck booting into TWRP recovery, no matter what I do. My screen is also broken so I can't touch anything in it, and the otg mouse doesn't work, and the volume button doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Any help at all? I really need this fixed ASAP.
Use adb to reboot download mode. Then odin flash the stock firmware.

You might have to do a factory reset in recovery mode. Thats normally the easiest way to get past softbricks.

- pull battery
- then hold home, volume up, and power and release when ever the blue text on top right flashes.
You flashed a TW kernel and not an AOSP one. That's why you got a bootloop
