yes i did. also tried flashing to old blade version 5.1.0 which hv no such problem before but now it remains the same no matter which ROM i flash. The bottom of the screen touch have no problem, tested with calibration.
Hmm sure you did a full wipe before installing the other rom. Checked the MD5 hashes if the download is oke ?

yes i always do a full wipe before flashing and restore using either recovery or gobackup. download shouldn't be a problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2027029&highlight=blade+mod i cannot post in a developer forum.
Aha do you restore apps after installing a rom. Does it work on a clean installed rom, no add ons, no restored apps or such ?

yes i did restore. hvnt try a clean installed rom as mentioned. didn't thought of it. will flash it tmr n hopefully it works.
I have the same issue. i've tried reinstalling the rom, other roms, whiping.
It happened randomly and if i slide it fully down it stops just before the end.
Tried flashing the ROM again today without restoring (clean) and it is still the same. how do i solve this?

So,I tried installing CM10 following instructions from lloirs thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835285).
I flashed the boot.img in the first step because he says it is a better option.
After that I proceeded to flash the CM10 zip file, but the install failed.
After that my phone wouldn't boot, so I did a restore from CWM and now my phone is stuck on the HTC One screen for a good half an hour.
Please help. Really need the phone tomorrow.

Thanks so much. Ended up installing CM10. But flashing again worked.
Guess I panicked a bit.
Yesterday, my gio was working totally normal, I was running the CM7 Apocalypse rom. It was acting kind of funny, so I decided to flash back to my stock rom. The flash seemed to go as expected, except now when I boot my phone, its a totally black screen. It plays the sound that it makes when it starts, so its doing something. There is also no recovery. I can get it into download mode, except no matter what rom i flash it still has the black screen. The backlight is on and the screen turns on for download mode, so there isn't anything wrong with the screen. Also, my phone is the GT-S5660M model from Bell. Help?

I CAN get into download mode. I've tried to flash back to stock. I've also tried to flash CWM but none of it worked. I dont think its bricked because when I flashed the stock rom it played the sound it makes when it starts. The screen is just screwed up somehow.

Did you wipe before installing stock with Odin?

he PMed me, i also suggested to reflash the firmware.zip....i had a similar thing only the guy lost signal and data, i suggested to redownload the firmware and reflash it.....guess what.....problem solved in his case. that's why i think it might be the firmware because when it is rom related the recovery should turn up right. and it all starts with the hboot.....my guess
My touch was working in Clock Work Mod before I did the Hboot 1.39 update(Had Hboot 1.12 before)
Hey Guys, I have the same issue. reverted back to stock for official OTA after the update (now on H boot 1.39 HTC_023) unlocked and flashed recovery. No touch. Didn't bother trying a Rom.
Ok so asked another member for help who had the problem he said
"Yea mate we all have that problem, Something to do with the kernal and driving the touch screen. It only works with the new H boot and STOCK rom. Recovery & any custom rom you loose touch.... I had to restore my factory sense rom too.
Will I have to restore to stock or something?
For now only the stock Rom works fine with regards to touch.

yup so these are the steps I followed.
1) flashed the boot.img that I had in the nandroid backup
2) restored the backup
3) booted up completely
4) since touch screen doesn't work
5) restarted the phone went into recovery and installed the OTA
6) booted again and it got stuck
7) erased cache from fastboot -> no-go
Also I just checked couldnt find any boot.img in the OTA zip, dont know what im missing here

thanx for letting me knw that it is not kernel related(sigh of relief)
but still, can you suggest some roms so that i'll try flashing their boot.img's!
You can try any rom if your hboot is supported. Receiving signal is something different from the signal strength.
The modules in the rom + the delivered boot.img are related to each other to make signal and bluetooth ...etc etc work.
So flash the boot.img from the rom, make a full wipe in recovery, install the rom. That way it should be all good on any rom.
