I would just reflash the ROM you're currently on or just use root explorer or something similar to pull the all out of the zip and copy it to /system/app. That said, the reason Android says its upgrading is because the dalvik-cache has been cleared. I would assume something keeps clearing that for some reason.
If the rom is odexed and you flashed a deodexed apk it will do the android is upgrading on boot trying to pull the odex file from the deodexed app. The .odex won't stick so it has to re do it on every boot. I have mine set up to clear cache and dalvik on shut down and zipalign on boot so mine upgrades all apps on every boot. Makes the phone much smoother and perform better since it doesn't have a bunch of random crap left in the caches.

I'm new to this whole custom ROM thing so please bear with me. Okay, so I'll take it from the top. I first updated to ics. Then I updated the baseband to 72 using the Xperia Flasher by Androxyde. Then I installed the kernel. I got this one. I don't know if I did these right but I think I did... Anyway, so after that I downloaded Arconium ICS 4.0 and put the zip file in the SD card and then used the CWM (I think) to install it. Before doing that I cleared the cache, the battery stats, the dalvik cache and reset to factory settings. Then I used the zip file and did a custom default install (the first option). I did it and the phone rebooted. Now this is where the problem started... The touch screen has been acting wonky. I mean there is a little circle thing that you have to move around to make it work. I mean, I have to move the circle thing to say Settings and then click. I can't click the Settings icon directly. Is this a feature of Arconium or is this a problem? Also, whenever I open the camera, the screen gets inverted (180 deg). So I am completely out of ideas. What should I do? Are these problems kernel related or ROM related?

Much appreciated.
EDIT: You can see the little circle thing in the second attachment. Oh and I have an Arc S. And the bootloader has been unlocked (I hope)
What kernel are you using ?
And try reflashing Arconium 4.0.
I have the stock framework, but since I used the motomoto theme, alot of apps are themed.
If someone with a i317 could copy their /system/app folder, zip it up and send it to me, i would be much appreciative. That was I can get out a stock de-odedex files with an extended power menu.
Its already done on mine, its just all my stuff is themed at the moment.

Not sure if I got it from the right place (system/framework) but here you go:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a21flhlxt80wg91/framework-res.apk
That's the right place. And I assume both of these are stock?
I'm on my way home now. Give me a few hours and I'll have them up.

Same.
Ah crap. I need more files than that. I themed to many. I'll get a hold of them somehow
Unless one of you guys who is stock, no theme will zip up your entire /system/app folder and send it to me?
Send me a PM with what you need.
nevermind... I just PM'd you with a link. if there's a problem with it, let me know - I also pulled a copy of the non-sparse partition that can be mounted via a loopback device.
I have flashed avatar rom for my phone (note 2 sgh i137),,,,,,all seemed to go smoothly,,flashed the GAPPS that came along with it.(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167062),,,,,again all seemed smooth. Once booted up,,constant crashes of various apps,,,,the notification screen is non stop with crash notifications. When I get back into recovery,,,which i can't seem to do from powered off (home+volume keys+power) so can only do it from ROM manager.,,i no longer see the flash zip from sd option,,,only flash from external,,,,,,,Any advice would be appreciated,,,,,,,I would try and re-flash,,if i could get to where i need to be. I have flashed roms before and can usually work it out,,but i'm lost on this one.
maybe made it better and than worse.
re flashed avatar,,worked fine,,,,,somewhere along the way i've lost all of my backed up data-apps,,,in titanium and ROM manager backed up rom. couldn't get contacts to work with avatar,,so I attempted to flash jedix rom,,,all seemed well,,,,stuck in boot loop. I am still unable to get into recovery by using home+volume keys+power,,,,,,,,,,,,sooooo,,hopefully I didn't ruin my phone,,,i'll try a few more times and attempt to re root usin odin.
now i'm an idiot
after reading in several places on google instructing users to press home+both volume buttons+ power,,,to get into recovery,,,,i stumbled upon a post that said to do all of the above but only hold the "up" power button,,,i'm back into recovery. SOoooooooooo,,,i guess i can flash roms now all day until i get it right
You need to be in the at&t threads. Your phone isn't sprint and can/will cause problems and possibly a bricked phone

It seems that Google believes my rooted, stock Galaxy Nexus is incompatible with Google+. The only things I've done to the phone are to root it and install a custom recovery. I haven't changed the build.prop or the DPI settings. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this issue? I've also force stopped, and cleared data for: Google Play Services, Google Framework and Google Play Store, followed by a reboot.

Well, I tried temp unrooting, and clearing the market. Didn't help though. Not that I think it has any relation, but are you running a stock recovery?
Hrm, I think they have it broken on the Market:
REQUIRES ANDROID:

No, I'm running TWRP in both devices.
But this may be related with something I realized few weeks ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40611435
Maybe my devices had a wrong version to upgrade......

Oh Well, as you said it seems that is broken for ics & jb...

Thank you. This kinda **** only happens to google
Thanks for the followups! I see that it's resolved in the store now.
Whenever I reboot or whenever I manually close out apps, it never fails that YouTube pops right back up as an active application. Anyone else noticing this?

I'm really just making a guess here so don't take this too seriously but: Maybe you have those push notifications or whatever on?
bump... I found this thread by accident but I am having the same issue as well. I'm actually on a galaxy S4 on T-Mobile but I figured it would be the same issue with the same remedy. I didn't see any thread on this issue and I didn't want to start a new one. Have you guys found a cure for it yet? Thank you
