It seems that Google believes my rooted, stock Galaxy Nexus is incompatible with Google+. The only things I've done to the phone are to root it and install a custom recovery. I haven't changed the build.prop or the DPI settings. Any thoughts on how I can resolve this issue? I've also force stopped, and cleared data for: Google Play Services, Google Framework and Google Play Store, followed by a reboot.

Well, I tried temp unrooting, and clearing the market. Didn't help though. Not that I think it has any relation, but are you running a stock recovery?

No, I'm running TWRP in both devices.
But this may be related with something I realized few weeks ago:

I know its a 4.0.2 issue because I was on a 4.0.3 rom before with the nexus and the apps in question never happened before, and then went to stock 4.0.2. I also have a captivate that has a 4.0.3 rom on it and the actual app opens perfectly.
So is this happening to anybody else or know how to fix it?

Uncheck force gpu rendering in development settings.

Thanks! I completely forgot that I had that on. That did the trick. If you dont mind me asking, what is it about gpu rendering that makes some apps go like that?

I think it's because the apps doesn't support GPU rendering i believe. Not sure about that though (i'm no developer).
Hello, I have rooted and have TWRP recovery, running DEATHSTALKER rom, I have noticed that the hand writing recognition software is not working, I have tried some options like changing the date to SEPT. 28 and it worked, but there is no update on the playstore to fix the problem I am having, has anyone else had this problem running a custom rom? Samsung N900T 32gb T-Mobile
Yea I had the problem for a few days and then couple days ago inwoke up and there was an ota from Samsung on the playstire that fixed my keyboard. Works like a dream now. Its there you just gotta find it. Ill look later and see if I could find it for ya

bump... I found this thread by accident but I am having the same issue as well. I'm actually on a galaxy S4 on T-Mobile but I figured it would be the same issue with the same remedy. I didn't see any thread on this issue and I didn't want to start a new one. Have you guys found a cure for it yet? Thank you

Having flashed the latest CM Nightly cm-12-20150320-NIGHTLY-flo.zip whenever I try to go into Settings on my N7 I get the error message "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped". Does anyone know a remedy to this situation?

I had the problem on my s4.....what I did was clear the cache and data of settings app and went to recovery...and clear cache anddalvik and reboot and boom it was all gud....and if still it dosnt try to do a reset and flash the ROM again like normal procedure

Sadly that didn't work. :crying: I've flashed the cm-12-20150318-NIGHTLY-flo.zip and there's no issue with the Settings app responding. I'll see if there's an issue with the cm-12-20150321-NIGHTLY-flo.zip when it's released.
may be u should wait for the update ....any way I guess it isn't creating problem....

I wonder why this was done?
ALso super annoyed because this is the only reason I bought this app.
And I just broke my phone and got a replacement.

I just reached out to the developer and he indicated you can still manually disable the packages.
menu> manual disable> enter package name to be disabled.
he cited "political challenges" as the reason behind this change.
