Hey um I have a galaxy s3 and running on rooted original rom and I don't want to flash a custom rom for a couple reasons. Is there any way I can get the notification of nexus 7 or of the Cyanogenmod 10.1 on my s3?
Here is the notification bar I was talking about.

No because I had some problem when I play music on cyanogenmod and rootbox mod. The music go smooth when the phone is idle. However, when I use the phone ( any app or even touch the screen ) it stops the music and plays again. IDK how to explain lol.

This is caused by touch sounds. Go to System/Sounds and disable them. It threw me for a loop and pissed me off too until I figured that out.

Do you recommend any rom for me besides cyanogenmod 10.1? I think the root box rom has more feature than cyanogen. You can agree or disagree with me it's just my opinion. If there's something cool, please point it out. Thanks

I don't use Rootbox ROM so I'm not sure, but most AOSP JellyBean ROM should support long press power + volume down buttons to take screenshot, just hold both down a little bit and it should take a screenshot. Some AOSP ROM has settings to include screenshot in the power menu (long press power button).

Mine does not take screen shot when press power and home at the same time. Btw I cant find where the power setting is in the setting app. Is it in rom control or rootbox setting?

Try ROM Control >> Power Menu (this is just a guess as I said, I don't use Rootbox). If it's not there, look in Rootbox setting. Also, it's power + volume down buttons, not home button.

If you still just want the notification bar then you can ask Semorebutts123 who made the xperiaZwiz rom, it's based off the latest OTA and has an aosp like notification bar. Idk how he did it but it looks nice.

While I can say with 100% certainty, 1) I am using one from a Sprint Developer and I am on AT&T. In a couple of the links it does state (for use with all CM9 enabled phones) You may get a screen saying "this theme is missing assets for your device's screen size" you can choose Bummer/ Apply anyway, pick apply anyway.
While I have found 1 or 2 that don't work, I would assume most of the do. Once you download the file go to downloads and press it to install. You will now find the theme in Themes, in your settings.
Good lick and have fun

Ok, I know this is going to sound dumb, but I'm rooted still on the stock rom, can I use these themes? This is the first time i haven't had to load a custom rom, so I'm used to just looking for stuff that goes with whatever rom I'm using. The only real reason I'm even looking at other themes is to get the icon for the App drawer moved to the middle instead of the right side, and possibly remove the 5 little dots for what screen I'm on. Again, sorry for the dumb question, just been so long since I played around.

That was my first thought, didn't do anything. I can hold it seconds and try to move it, nothing. No matter how long I hold it, as soon as I let go, it just opens the app drawer.

thanks for the rom
ROM updated to MIUI 2.9.14. Feedback are welcome. :highfive:
sounds great so i'm going to try and report back.
Q1: how come the file size is a lot smaller than the other miui flavours?
Q2: do we need to flash the gapps if needed? or is it built in?
Do we need to install gapps with this? Also what is 30 step volume feature?
Also can anyone who tried this rom tell me if there is lag on this? Thanks.

yep it looks like you'd have to install gapps if you need them.
yep there is still a wait to wake up to lockscreen, but smooth other than than, just like the other miui roms.

The file size is smaller maybe because I didn't include the whole gapps package in it. Anything that can be downloaded from Play Store are not included e.g. Gmail, Youtube, Google Now, etc.
The 30-step volume control gives more fine grain in adjusting you media/music volume. Originally there are 15 steps between mute and max volume, this mod increases the steps to 30.
I don't know how to fix the default lockscreen lag ATM. A workaround is to use the "Simple" lockscreen or any other ones from Themes app.
Ok thank you mate. The volume feature sounds very good because idont like the maximum sound in other miui ports. Its very low. So with this feature sound is ok in your rom i think? Also last question before i flash. Will you add weekly builds in fridays?

Sounds promising. I needed so much "volume rocker wake", I will give it a shot.
I hope you add more missing features from previous MIUI and some cool ones from other ROMs. Keep it going.
I installed this ROM. Now the screen display has become little blueish.. Even the white background looks dull and blueish. How to solve this?
Thanks
EDIT : The color issue solved after installing the latest Franco kernel.
Nice dude remember you back in the nexus s forums. Got a question, is volume wake included in the stock MIUI?

Samsung Galaxy Nexus (maguro)
Eos is an android custom rom for a wide range of devices. We support phones and tablets alike. From the Motorola Xoom, to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, to the Asus Nexus 7.
We proudly base all of our modifications off of the Android open source project, and try to (whenever feasible) develop all of our modifications without basing them off of others work (kanging).
Even though we try our hardest to ensure that every single build is as stable as possible, we can't guarantee that every build will be stable. However, most of our users agree that our nightly roms are very much stable and are considered "daily drivers".

I really like the status bar toggles, and the swipe function for audio and brightness settings is an awesome feature.
Great work :good:
I love this rom so far. Very smooth and quick. I love what you did with the notification menu . Swiping in the notification menu to access the brightness and volume control is very clever. The toggles are awesome too.

Hi everybody, let me present you SpyKit, and app designed for taking spy pictures in a very simple yet powerful way!
The motivation was to address the main problems in most of the existing spy cameras: lack of polisheness and counter intuitive user interfaces.
Right now this is the only spy camera that works when you screen is truly turned off!
How to use it?
The first thing you have to do is activate it through the main switch in the upper right corner. You can also put a widget in your desktop for quickly enable it.
Then there two ways you can use the app:
-> Using your device buttons. (PLAY, PAUSE, VOLUME UP/DOWN)
By default all buttons are mapped to the Single Picture Action.
-> Using the Motion Detection feature.
By default motion detection is mapped to the Continuous Shooting Action
You, of course, can change this mappings at the settings screen.
SpyKit, by default, displays a floating preview which you can drag and resize as you like. It allows you to keep using your other apps while the preview is active!.
If you don't want the preview to be shown, you can disable it at the settings screen.

Well, it depends on what you mean by "secretly watch people"... With this app you can take pictures pressing the headset button (for now, in the next release i will be adding the volume up/down and camera buttons...), without shutter sound and with you screen turned off... so nobody will know you are taking pictures! And you don´t need to have the app opened, it runs in the background waiting for you to press the buttons!

Does anyone know if there is a patch or app or mod that will allow the use of the Flashlight torch via the volume or home buttons on the phone. For example I would like to be able to turn the flashlight on by clicking the volume up and down at the same time or double tapping the home button. Some how turn the light on without having to unlock the phone and navigate to a widget.
Bump
I've used an older app on another handset called "button remapper". It literally does just that, but I'm not sure if it'll knock out the buttons original function all together or just allow both functions to run depending on the current state of use you're in.

I've heard that other ROM's had this feature, I was just wondering if there was a way to install the feature manually apart from a ROM as I'm currently running the Jedi X17 ROM and it does not have this feature.

I've heard that other ROM's had this feature, I was just wondering if there was a way to install the feature manually apart from a ROM as I'm currently running the Jedi X17 ROM and it does not have this feature.
I will have to check out button remapper.
Thanks again guys!

Since you want to stay with the Rom of your choice. You just need to install xposed framework, then all you need is the Tweak Box module. And your good to go!

The above sounded like a great fix, but it shows that I must be running Android 4.2/4.3.
Any ideas for how to remap the buttons on 4.1.2? I'd like to be able to do a long home button press on the lock screen for the torch and a double tap when unlocked for Google Voice Search rather than SVoice.

I'm running a bunch of xposed framework mods on my Skynote Rom. And it's 4.1.2... so not sure where you read that. But it should work with your device! Make a back up of what you have now. Then try it out see if it helps you problem.
