Hey guys. So i purchased the Hyperion 4200mAh battery, but um, funny story, i didnt really put it through the charge cycles because i thought it wouldnt matter but now i realize it does.
So my question is, since it adjusts to the kernel, could i flash a new kernel, and put that through the charge cycles? Would that work? or am i just dreaming?
Any help is appreciated guys! THANKS:laugh::fingers-crossed:

I've heard it makes up a bit for the lack of charge cycles but doesn't function nearly as well as it was originally supposed to. I've never owned one so I can't give a definite answer. Hopefully someone who has owned one and tested it will come across this thread and can give you a more definite answer. This is all I can tell you honestly. Aside from doing some research on that, it looks like you've got some experimenting to do lol.

I was just looking around for any hope of an extended battery case and came across the Powerskin. The website says its coming in April... hopefully early April...
Only an extra 1500mAH, but its a start...

It charges your phone first then the powerskin, I think it is a pretty cool idea

From the pictures, it looks like you will lose the use of the kickstand though. That little buggy has been a heaven sent for me when I need to let kids watch videos on my phone.

If I read the specs correctly it's a 1500 battery that is attached to the case plus the stock battery! This actually seems like a pretty cool setup

ive always wondered when they will come out with one of these like the iphone. i may get one
Looks great and the feature that it has to check the battery level on the back is really nice. Trying to figure out how much though, perks like that are not inexpensive. I'm rocking a 3500mah from an eBay buyer, so far it works perfectly fine; thats only with the cycles, yet it was worth the $14.
Looks good. I may pick one of these of for the wife.
I emailed them, and they said they hope to release it by the end of April. Their site says 59.99... I'll plan to get one after they become available. Will let you guys know how it turns out.
I emailed them, they do NOT support the kickstand:
"Just wanted to let you know that the PowerSkin will not support the stand for the EVO. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask. I will be happy to help you.
Thank you for your interest in PowerSkin"
Without support for the kickstand, which also acts as a heatsink, I don't want to know if it will overheat.

i don't know if anyone else remembers the leak of photos from back when the EVO was released last year But this was suppose to be the extended battery that was released back then WOW a year later and it finally comes out when alot of people have already bought a different kind or are looking at getting the EVO 3D this is really bad timing
Just posting this because I received the email from them that these are available for purchase with a 30% discount using the following:

With twice the power for your HTC EVO 4G, your life charges on. You can keep working. Keep playing. Keep moving. PowerSkin® is your go-to, go-anywhere, go on-and-on power source.
I looked at it as well but I also use the kickstand.
I know I read it somewhere, but, can't find it now.
I'm going a concert tomorrow in Charlotte (I live in VA) and I won't be able to charge my phone again until Sunday.
So, my question is : Are the HTC Hero and HTC Evo batteries the same? Meaning I could just use my old hero battery once the original died without issue?
Thanks guys

You're welcome. And yes, it's always better to be 100% sure on something. But yep, both batteries are identical. 1500mah, same size, same terminal configuration. You shall be good to go.
Title says it all. I did an advanced search through XDA and also did one in the GSIII talk thread and couldn't find a definite answer. I'm looking for a bigger battery without increasing the size of my E4GT. I found one on eBay but is there any others that are cheaper?

It was really nice of you to answer his question. I don't understand how this question makes him a noob at all? He's simply curious. To the op; I'm not 100% sure but I do not think it will fit. You could do a search for extended batteries specifically the slim ones. And you could always buy another stock battery plus charger and carry that around with you and just switch them out.

i dont think it will. it looks like the dimensions are different.
Thank you for the responses.Yeah, I was looking through some of the slim extended battery threads and they were saying that they weren't getting that much better battery life (andida). It would just be nice to get a bigger OEM battery.
I'm looking for a new battery for my HTC Desire but not sure which one to get.
Could someone please post some suggestions?
Got £5 in my paypal so that's my limit really don't really want an expensive battery.
Cheers
£5?!
that's barely enough to cover the shipping costs ^^ add 5 to 10 more and then we can talk.
Yeah, used oem battery will probably perform better than new £5 pos.

Read this, it's a thread for that. That 94% is fake and you'll see why. After calibration I got 83% of real battery age.

You have a link there to nexus one thread and the process is the same, even eaiser with AOSP rom cause every kernel is calibration friendly. Only difference is that you have to use stock battery calibrator app (for N1) not the one from the thread. I tried to do itbseveral times with sense rom and didn't manage to do it. At the end I flashed cm7 and did it. Just read the thread carefully and follow the steps exactly as posted, it's very important.

Dear Buddy, Regard on your question, i think the most simple way is you find a repaire shop around your house, the repaire shop owner must be know the battery you need. so you don't need ask others else.:silly:

i know what battery i need just not sure which one to get, some dont last very long need someone who has bought one of ebay or amazon before
if you really want a new battery, i'd say get an htc original one..My experiences with cheap replacement batteries weren't all that great..
i recently bought a new battery made by hama. stumbled across it when i was looking for a new headset. it performs really good so far even though it only has a capacity of 1270 mAh (still lasts for a good 5 hours of non-stop usage). it was rather cheap, cost me 13,99€ if i remember correctly.
Hi All! I came across a supplier that has nexus 5 extended batteries 3830 MAH that are plug and play.
These will replace your original battery and wont add any bulk to your phone.
They will be $35 shipped in the U.S.
Please make a list of everyone that is interested.
Well, other than not knowing the actual quality/longevity of the battery, or if it really gives 3830mAh, $35 is steep. Considering you can get it for $15.99 + shipping from aliexpress, you can pick up 2 for that price.

That is gonna be a pile of crap another dodgy chinese battery just like those gold ones that you can get for htc sensation.
Dont touch it!
Guys, LG is one of the few companies which actually makes their own batteries (through the LG Chem subsidiary). This means they can put very good batteries in their phones with little additional cost. Do you really think some cheap chinese batteries probably made somewhere on a ship can have a better capacity/volume ratio than the ones provided by LG?
my guess is the OP is someone who is selling/supplying the batteries and the first post they ever put is this waste of time, go and advertise somewhere else.
Adding that much juice, in a battery that's the same size? Pretty sure that's impossible. Nice try, though.
i guess ill have to try it out and post results.
