[HOWTO][MOD] ●►ACID Audio Engine™◄● |v5.0| Samsung Optimised | ☆☆☆TEAM AC!D☆☆☆
First of thank you Chainfire for [GT-I9505] CF-Auto-Root, k0nane for OUDHS CWM-Based Recovery 1.0.3.0 for jfltetmo, r-ikfoot for [MOD] ●►ACID Audio Engine™◄● |v5.0| Samsung Optimised | ☆☆☆TEAM AC!D☆☆☆, and anyone else i forgot in the android community that i missed.
This is my first post..... but i wanted to share a sound mod for the music lovers for our new T-mobile Galaxy S4 on the stock rom while we wait for all the custom roms to be developed for our phone.
So in order to get this mod to work you need to be rooted (Chainfire for [GT-I9505] CF-Auto-Root) with SuperSU from the Play Market installed. Then you need to install k0nane's CWM 1.0.3.0. (Don't think i need to elaborate on these two steps because their threads tell you how.)
Ok on to the sound MOD part.
First download these two files to your phone.
§1 AC!D Audio Engine v5.0 Samsung Optimised:

Clear audio +& Audio FX Widget

Boot into CWM (Vol-UP + HOME)
Make a Backup to your External sdcard!!!!!
Install zip from sdcard
Choose zip from sdcard
Flash [Samsung]AC!DAudioEngine[v5.0]_signed.zip first
Then ClearAudio+TEAM AC!D.zip.
Go back into the main menu of CWM
Wipe Cache Partition
Then Goto Advanced menu
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
open ES File Explorer make sure Root settings look like this:

save build.prop changes and reboot
Now after reboot Goto Settings|Sound|Music Effects and select ClearAudio+, Save.
Open Dobly Mobile in the App Drawer and grant it SuperSU rights. Then close.
Then open clearAudio+ in App Drawer and select the headphone that sounds best to you and save.
To finely tune your music add the audio FX widget to your homescreen and play around with the widget to tweak.
thats its! now time to enjoy your new sound experience.

Add the code in manually. Visit this website and copy then open up build.prop with es file explorer and paste the code at the end and save

I did the mod, but the audiofx equalizer doesn't seem to work. I tried different presets in the eq but they all sound the same. Even when I turned it way down and then cranked it to max. I was really hoping for the eq to work. That's the thing I'm really missing.

did you add the build.prop lines and open up all the apps that the zips installed? don't forget to select clearaudio+ in sounds

Dunno if the eq part works or not. I just enable EQ and use the reverb and bass and vr

I got it working doing some weird stuff but ClearAudio+ is really buggy at least for me, I'm just going to freeze it out and use a different EQ

The EQ is kind of weird. It doesn't work for certain apps but it does for others. Which EQ are you using?

Oh. Well, I have a Galaxy Exhibit. That's why I was curious.
i manually put script at the end of the "build.prop" now phone is stuck on "Galaxy S4" boot-loader screen. made a back up how do i push it to the /system ??? in recovery mode.

usually have a backup of the whole system in custom restore. just wipe and restore your backup.

i fix it, just rename my backup file with adb and changed permission of the build.prop when i redid the script. thats where i messed up in the first place.
Try this mod w the adaptive sound feature on your phone. It works well w it.

i'm always looking for music apps, so i'll give this a try. thanks!
EDIT: whoah that's a lot of files that this replaces. are all of them necessary for the music player to play music? I don't want to overwrite so many files unless it's absolutely necessary. i'm on JoshBeach's heavily themed rom and don't wanna lose things unnecessarily.

I've been on Clark's rom for a while now and I don't know if its the aroma or what but themes and some mods just won't work sometimes but i haven't tried this yet will wait after your experience hopefully you get your phone back up and running.
So is this separate from your work on acid sound mod?

go to cwm,format system partition(in mount settings) and then flash the paranoid android rom
should get you booting back(any mod done to system partition will be erased)
will look into the problem,but I warned to take a backup via cwm
I won't be home for couple of days,but when I get back will try to fix for all the roms asap

On AOKP, I have the same problem with it just going to a black screen after the Galaxy S3 screen. I've clean installed and everything.

Does not boot after install. On rom JELLYBAM - v3.0.0. Phone stays on black screen. Always do a Nandroid backup if it fails.
Pros; totally improved stock rooted. Very loud and clear.
Cons : it screws up Bluetooth-phone mode. (when making a call you hear yourself in the speaker as you talk) it will work if you activate Speaker during Bluetooth call then deactivate speaker and it will work normal but u have too every call

MegaBass for cm9 - cm10 basic is adapted from new cm10.1 android 4.2 file system.
Try replace with this Meta.Inf, hopefull works with galaxy s and maybe universal updater

You can enable x-bass options if want more bass effect

Known Bugs :
- xLOUD is buggy for now, sound reduce to default after a few second when playing music on Internal Speaker (Speaker Phone)
- Manual Equalizer Layout kinda error in our resolution HDPI
- You can't download music info, because this is related SONY drm powered by gracenote

Boot loop after adding new codes the build drop and flashing the later new Walkman package.
Listening to Infine album will be great with this mod ...

Just remove audioeffectservice.apk in preload, then reboot, u dont have xLoud and ClearPhase

Hi all. Is there lag on my P6 or all of them have issue with low volume through 3.5mm jack? Before had plenty phone running my Dr. Dre Monster Studios and all of them had good vol level. Only my current P6 lacks output power. Have tried various headphones (Sennheisers, Samsung galaxy s3 oem, Huawei P6 oem, iPhone 5 oem, and Monster Studios) but still cant reach same volume level. Have tried couple Google Play apps to increase volume, but they doesn't to job they suppose to do..
Hi! It sounds you are running an old firmware. Which one do you have ? Have you updated ? After I updated to B120 (and then to B125) from B111 or smth similar, the sound went to normal.

Much better, but for really good audio, I'd advise you to flash HYD52ROM, trust me. It's just awesome.

The stock rom got really low poweroutput, and why I don't know.
But as you said, flashing a custom rom will solve that problem and get back to "normal" volume!
Well - B125 aint much louder then B111. Thats quite sad as whole point of Beats Studios are loudness. Will look for some fast custom rom.

Try this:
Root
Use root expoler app(es files expoler,etc)
Go folder:ETC/AUDIO/CODEC
Enable root expoler settings your root app set premission RW
And delete asound_UEDGE_ce_NDL.dat files
Set back premission
Rebbot
And now loud as hell

No need to delete this file, just rename it into asound_UEDGE_ce_NDL.dat.bak , and it will do the job and u wont lose DOLBY DIGITAL sound

If delet this files no lose Dolby Digital.This files about europe ear gurad law.Usless files safe for delete
So delete or rename same effect :Higher volume.

Just did this, worked and the difference is ridiculous, had to turn off V4A because otherwise it would be too much.
The volume through headphones on 1 (of 15) was louder than my ipod on 4 (of 16)!
With this fix and V4A turned off it's like any other phone.

Can you hide the navbar on omnirom like you can on the roms based on Huawei's KitKat Beta?
That's the only thing that keeps me from flashing it because I'm really used to that feature.

Here is my edited mixer paths file
It makes your headphones(3 levels) , bluetooth(1 level) and speaker(1 level) louder. Simply Open an explorer I use es file Explorer and go to device and remove the mixer paths xml file and replace it with mine.Make sure you fix permissions before you reboot or you may go to a bootloop.The file is located on device at system folder then etc folder then find the file mixer paths file and move or replace it then put my file in it's place.Then fix permissions on the file or just flash zip in Twrp and reboot.

Just ended up in a bootloop uuuuugghhhhhh...... So annoyed of hard-reseting this phone over and over again....... I FEEL like I'm going to stop till I'm able to make a backup lol

Did you fix permissions if you didnt thats why you have a tmobile galaxy s6 edge right I dont know if other variamts have same file.Mine works great

Yeap tmobile edge fixed permission checked like 4 times before restarting got stuck on the tmobile boot up part had to Odin back to stock

TWRP also work with stock Kernel . The Trick is to flash with flashify. But the modded kernel is smother anyway. Can't wait for development to really take off . (64 bit xposed would be great)

you can tell if its louder than before if it isnt didnt work mine and wifes is louder especially the headphones and it should be louder when you hear tmobile aound on bootup
