[MOD][JB] Enable callrecording

In the past i had a Sony-Ericsson C905 Cyber-Shot phone modded with lots of pathces that give my phone a lot of functionalities, one of them was the ability of recording calls, a feature that is ristricted in some countries, ofcorse as all devs know and AFAIK call recording is kernel depedent, to be specific the 3.4.0 kernel witch is the Jelly Bean kernel.
So i whant to share to you the ability to record calls.
Its a port from Xperia V, and tested by myself on Xperia S 6.2.B.0.197 Jelly Bean and works flawlessly
tested on Xperia V JellyBean, and I can make sure it works on Xperia Z and other JB devices.
not tested on ICS but I thought it would work
how does it work:
press menu during the phonecall, you'll find a new "turn on recording" option
record will be auto saved in sdcard/record after you stop it or hang the phone
flash it in CWM

Fixed LTE network support in Settings-More-Mobile networks-NetworkMode, LTE mode now is available for ur device, sorry for last version 'cause we don't have LTE network in China.
Enable dual mic noise suppression in "Settings-Call settings", I didn't notice this section in last version for that I apologize
Disable that annoying notify said"disable mobile data blablabla" when you press the Mobiledata toggle in status bar, I used to decompile SemcPhone.apk but it seems too complicated to modify smali by every update, can be solved by this patch.

like what Samsung did in his own Offical Rom, different patches are used like a switch for different function, as u all know call record is illegal in numbers of countries but not in China, I just accidentally found this patch in Chinese version FTF file, so, it's not my great work actually.
I once woked for gameloft, now I'm a cell phone reseller but still have interested in Android developping, I learned so much from xda, so EVERYONE are welcomed to use this patch in ur rom, it might be fit for all SONY JB device, no necessary to get my permission or inform me, all for one and one for all isn't it?

BUGS: it adds the LTE option to networks, but selecting it does nothing sence we dont have LTE,other than that it works with no problem.
The recording is saved in SDcard in "Recorder" folder via .MP3 extension. YES no AMR

i had installed it on my SXS JB leaked version via CWM recovery, i check those option in your screenshot but it doesnt appear and no menu for call recording while calling.

The miui rom for the Ion has call recording, so shouldn't this work on my phone?

Yes restore your original com.android.phone-res.apk from sistem/ventor/overlay if you had one

would it be possible to make it autocall recorder?

I'm flashing the zip, but nothing comes up. There is no phone.android-res.apk in system/vendor/overlay so i guess thats why it doesnt work.

You should know its for JB only, and during call tick the 3 dots menu then it appears

Yeah its ok. I just thought that it might work on ICS like you said in the OP. Anyway thanks for the post, as soon as i upgrade its gonna be useful !!

It works on xperia v ics but not on s, ived tested it on ics after you told me but its worth a try in jb

It's not problem, I'm just curious.
I'll try to delete one "pair" because I can't see nothing in scripts that explains doubled folders and files.

Hi guys, I've got it right to enable ART on the new B506 CN Firmware!
Wait how..?
Well, when Huawei said they wont give us ART since it is too unstable, they were to lazy to edit the source code, so all they did was hide the "select_runtime" section in Smali. - Unfortunately for them PulseDroid knows Smali.
They've also modified:
Code:
libart.so
libart-compiler.so
core-libart.jar
To act as if they are complete, but it's basically unfinished code.
So what I did was recompile those three from www.github.com/android and edited the development settings smali to show the option in settings.

How to get ART
Don't flash this after a clean install, Settings.apk will stop, since it will be the first time loading the ROM and won't recognize the change in apk's. Flash the ROM first, go through the setup, then reboot at flash this.

Make sure your device is on B506, it will crash other versions.
Download this zip
Flash the zip via TWRP
Reboot
It will say "Android is upgrading", two apps will upgrade.
Go to Settings -> About -> tap Build number seven ( 7 ) times.
Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Select runtime -> Select ART
Reboot ( Boot will take some time )
It will say "Android is upgrading" and upgrade all of the apps ( This will take some time )
Seriously it uses a modified Settings.apk / Provider.apk if you flash this on a Rom not based on B506 you will have problems.

Revert to stock ( First select Dalvik again )
I wouldn't be able to say if this is Placebo, but it feels really, really fast. NOTE:- Benchmarks wont show improvement since they test Dalvik, not art!

That's what it's made for. Yes.
BTW: B506 is stock, Surdu only modded it a bit, like added Root and made it flashable.

It didn't work here either, I recompiled some stuffs to make it work. - I don't yet know how stable it is, haven't used it long enough.
Although I agree it is not quite perfect yet, I think the reason Huawei keeps this from us could be linked to the same reasons we have slow performance, no LTE even tough we could, etc.

I don't know why is hidden, but it work like a charm! It just FLY! Browser is opening and loading Facebook in just 2 sec. and this is when so many other apps are started!

As said before I don't know yet, will check and report back.
But seriously now, I am wondering why it is so much faster, could this have been the P6 problem all along? Bad Dalvik support or something.. hmm.

I folowed the steps and installed.
For me the results are not spectacular. I didn't seen any changes in speed. In games it is a litlle better but not more.
Maybe do another restart of the system or wipe cash?
I have seen that your results after ART where WOW so why not for me too? I followed the exact steps and installed.

Volume Mod

Here is my edited mixer paths file
It makes your headphones(3 levels) , bluetooth(1 level) and speaker(1 level) louder. Simply Open an explorer I use es file Explorer and go to device and remove the mixer paths xml file and replace it with mine.Make sure you fix permissions before you reboot or you may go to a bootloop.The file is located on device at system folder then etc folder then find the file mixer paths file and move or replace it then put my file in it's place.Then fix permissions on the file or just flash zip in Twrp and reboot.

Did you fix permissions if you didnt thats why you have a tmobile galaxy s6 edge right I dont know if other variamts have same file.Mine works great

Yeap tmobile edge fixed permission checked like 4 times before restarting got stuck on the tmobile boot up part had to Odin back to stock

TWRP also work with stock Kernel . The Trick is to flash with flashify. But the modded kernel is smother anyway. Can't wait for development to really take off . (64 bit xposed would be great)

you can tell if its louder than before if it isnt didnt work mine and wifes is louder especially the headphones and it should be louder when you hear tmobile aound on bootup

I think this app is the latest version of sony music but i've flashed some other apps like album and audio recorder. They got an update via playstore. So may be music will also get updates from playstore in future.

You are right but playstore wont update music as its saying its incompatible for me. There is something to do with buildprop i think and lets wait if it updates by itself

i tried this on my redmi 1s running cm 13.0 R19..and it worked!!
Devs have definitely put a lot of effort on this....the music bug which was persistent in all the cm versions and miui too is now vanished just because of this awesome xperia ported music player
I recommend all the redmi 1s users to flash this and give it a try at least

When I tried to turn down the volume, the sound is still the same, can only raise the volume

Okay, have been out of any kind of development for quite sometime and was just sucking XDA. So, I've something to give back.
I noticed that the Screen of the Mi A1 is (kinda) washed out [maybe cause am generally using the LG G6 and the iPhone 6S]. So, here is the Bravia Engine and X-Reality ports for you guys. I had them ported long ago for the Optimus Black and the SGS Advance as recovery flashables and now I've made a small Magisk Module out of it.
Tested in Oreo and if possible, kindly attest whether it works at all or not.
Zip in attachment. Simply Magisk Flash and reboot. Mine boots back normally.

I flashed it in Oreo stable and booted normally. How to test? I am an old Xperia Z/Z2/Z3 user.

IDK man, See if the Contrast and Saturation is boosted. Am currently making some custom system animation modules for Magisk. Will test them together.

Then its not working man. I tested with Sony Album and video app. Nothing changes. Same as old. I disabled ur module then also checked. Same as old. Nothing changes. Same old contrast and saturation...

My experience from Xperia Z2/Z3 compact: on Sony phones, when you browse through pictures via Sony gallery app, it will enhance currently viewed picture. It takes a second to kick in, so first you see "standard" picture and then it "enhances" in front of your eyes, it's quite obvious and can't be missed. However as it's limited to Sony gallery app only and other apps can't utilize this feature, it's quite useless (at least in stock setup, no idea if mods are different).

i think its need hard work to get this dream true. like modify system Setting.apk to add "image enhancement" > in Display like this:

This doesn't work. Read post from rajeev as he has tried it and knows the difference with and without bravia engine.
Frankly i would root A1 without any thought for Bravia engine
