I recently flashed CM10. I used pimp my rom which is pre installed. Before modifying a couple settings I used the un-pimp option to revert any changes I may have made. when it went to reboot it never rebooted, it just stayed at the HTC EVO 4G boot screen but never changed. It won't boot into recovery either. Tried clearing data from bootloader.
Please Help,
Thanks

I tried what you suggested but it didn't work thanks though. I'm only 14 so experience isn't plentiful.

If you can get into your bootloader, download a recovery again and install it through the bootloader, that should clear up any issues. Then reinstall or restore a rom.
Thank you!

I just installed HBOOT .92 on the root of SD card. It installed because it is listed at the top of recovery. But when I try to reboot, it keeps coming back to the bootscreen. I've tried powering down, but still comes back to bootscreen. What have I done and how can I get out of this? First time I've ever had what seems to be a potentially serious problem.

just restore through recovery... you got a back up right!?!
after you restore, it should be fine. updating HBOOT wipes your kernel which is why this happens.

Okay, not real sure what I did, but seems that I got out. Was finally able to get back to recovery screen and in the process of doing a nandroid restore.
Regardless, curious as to what I did wrong? Almost scared to attempt again. I guess I don't really need it, just feel like I need to have the latest and greatest of everything. Thanks for any input.
So, do you install the kernel right after flashing the new HBOOT, but before rebooting to avoid the problem again?

it's honestly not really a problem. just nandroid before you update HBOOt next time.
OR
not sure if this works but have a kernel backed up on your sdcard before hand. just flash the kernel from recovery and in theory you should be good to go with a nandroid restore.
After installing Cyanogenmod 9 on the One X I started to notice extremely poor signal, Mobile and Wi-Fi. Also the phone would crash and randomly reboot when doing simple tasks such as opening messages etc.
Upon trying to get into recovery to install a different rom, the phone now flashes on a black screen and restarts the phone.
To try and solve this issue, I unrooted the phone and restored to stock recovery.
I then re-rooted the phone and installed clockworkmod recovery again.
I can now access clockworkmod recovery although it seems to have no effect. Installations of any rom fail and cyanogenmod always pops straight back up again after rebooting.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Does anyone have a way to fix this? Possibly to force the phone completely back to stock?
You can try first "SuperWipe" (from ARHD's thread) and flash a new ROM (don't forget boot.img before...)

Unfortunately I can't help you with SuperWipe, but you can find the HOX stock ROMs here.

Ran superwipe and tried to install the stock rom. Superwipe ran fine and did the job, although the rom installation still failed as it was doing before and I am now stuck with a htc bootloop. The device won't boot into recovery either. Any ideas anyone?

Did you try holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons while in the bootloop to enter the bootloader? Hold them down until the lights start to flash, the screen goes off and then the bootloader comes up.
If you can get into recovery with that, factory reset, clear cache and dalvik cache (under advanced) then try install the ROM.
I'm not the best person to be helping, but I hope that works for you!
I had a similar problem once where the phone would just sit on the HTC One X screen, and trying to go into recovery just put the phone back to the HTC screen. I fixed it by flashing the boot.img, factory reseting, clearing out caches and installing the ROM again. No problems since.
I'm afraid if this doesn't work, I may have to abandon you and let someone else take over, as I'm no expert, but I'll see what I can do to help.
Edit: sorry, it is 2AM here and I need some rest for an early start at 6AM. I will check up on this thread when I wake.

FIXED!!!
To anyone else having this problem, I downloaded ARHD Flashboot 7.0.0 and ARHD 7.0.0, followed the instructions on what to do and installed ARHD successfully.
This has now completely gotten rid of Cyanogenmod and seems to have got clockworkmod working again.
It's probably work using the "Fix Permissions" option in ROM manager before you attempt this as I believe that is what got clockworkmod working and able to install files again. (I may be wrong)
Thankyou for everyone's assistance.

Good evening,
I currently have AOKP d2att 4.1.2 and I'm trying to flash my phone with the stock ROM from Bell using the following link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426)
For about a month I was able to revert back to my stock ROM without any problem but this week I tried a couple of times to flash it but when it comes to reboot the device I'm stuck at the Samsung (animated logo) screen and that doesn't seem to go through.
Would that be because of the number of flash that I've done on my phone and it's blocking me from restoring it?
Thanks!
Boot into recovery and do a factory reset. Wipe cash data and dalvik. Reboot and should be fine.

I already done that but I'm flashing the stock ROM from Odin (FYI)
Did you do the factory reset after flashing stock ROM?

I am rooted running Jellybean on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3, tried to install wi fi tether kept asking for superuser permission then froze. On rebooting phone is stuck on samsung logo. Tried unbricking by flashing stock rom with Odin, no success. Is it because I am on Jellybean and am trying to revert to ICS? Please help someone!!! Thanks in advance.

That's odd. Well if youre trying to revert to ics try flashing this in Odin then. This should set you straight

And btw don't know why you froze but superuser popping up 15 times was normal. I recommend using super su with that wifi tether app
Same thing happened to me
So I am on Stock jelly bean which I downloaded the OTA from here and I am rooted. After installing the wifi mod I went to start it and it keeps asking for superuser permissions over and over. Then it said something about you phone is operating at a unstable state please reboot you phone and now it will not bootup, it gets to the Samsung word after the sprint logo and stays there. I have tried booting into safe mode by holding down left button at logo, by tapping it while it boots. Nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
What the hell this cant be coincidence.
I really need data from an app any suggestions?

But just to confirm I flashed the OTA JB when it first was release from a Sprint update. I am stock rooted with custom recovery and possibly I shouldnt have to wipe data.

Excellent I flashed the deodex version in previous reply and the pulled battery after flashing in Odin and booted straight in, no data loss.
It's rooted an is installed with HTC One V Sphongle 4.2.2 Jellybean custom ROM. I've been using it for a few months and had no problems with whatsoever till I just rebooted my phone and it's stuck on the multicolored "X" sign, and the flare behind would move around much like a Nexus would just won't budge and it doesn't respond to anything, it's been like this for few hours. I tried holding down the power button but nothing happens. Btw, will the screen have a burn-in? Just curious. Helps are much appreciated!!
Did you make a cwm/twrp backup? If not you can try reflashing the shpongle.zip rom without wiping, I had this once and it worked. Hope this works!

you have 3 options:
1) is to restore your backup by going to your recovery. This will help guaranteed, but you will lose all your data since your last backup
2) is reflashing the rom, you have downloaded from shpongle thread, without wiping anything. You will still have all your data if I'm correct but I am not 100% sure if this will work
3) is wiping your dalvik cache
