Does anyone know where I could get a "Rear Housing Back Plate Replacement"? Honestly don't care if its the OEM or not, I tried to reach out the Samsung but the rep couldn't give me a clear answer. I found two places online but they are charging ridiculous price for them considering its a piece of plastic.
Bummer

Both of those honestly. I would expect a piece of plastic to cost closer to $20 or so considering the cases themselves cost around that amount. I got the number to Samsung's repair department. Going to call later and see what prices they can provide me with. Otherwise I can just wait for a broken one to sell on ebay or something.

Thank you, its about the same price with the exchange rate. I will keep looking.
What happened to yours and how bad is the damage?
You could always put this case on and cut off the front part.

sometimes people sell display model fake phones on E-bay. these phones are usually the case with a fake screen plastered on the front and may be of use to you... i don't know if that will apply to this phone, but it's worth a try
This One is 20 bucks and is a non functional dummy display... It might be made of plastic, but usually in my experiences these are actual phone bodies, with fake insides (or no insides as it were...)

looking at this image it looks like the battery door on it may be able to work... no way to tell unless the seller is willing to let you know or you take the plunge and try it
one of the auctions says "can't be used for spare parts" but that could be referring to the internals. you should ask one of the sellers if the battery door is removeable and have them send you a pic of it removed if it is so you can determine if it will work.

Ok so my wife got her original incredible run over by a car. I called it into insurance over the long weekend but needed a replacement immediately as she is pregnant. So i went ahead and bought her the incredible 2 (full retail). She let my 3 yr old daughter hold it while coming out of the store who then proceded to drop it and ran over it with a shopping cart shattering the screen on that one. i got the replacement incredible in but now need to replace the glass on the INC2.
I cant find anyone online who has them yet and i cant file another claim on the insurance as it wasnt manufacturers defect and im maxed out on claims. Any ideas on where i can get a replacement glass and bezel? my only other option is to set the phone back up on my third line and pay the fees till the insurance kicks in which will cost me more than the glass replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Here it is hope that helps.
Edit: actualy thats the LCD, my bad. But still
you have 30 days to buy insurance for this phone as well? i know this is almost a fraud but.... maybe should buy insurance for this phone and then claim it in a couple of days...
p.s. i am not suggesting anything. i am not responsible for any lawsuit, liability, etc. in regards to your equipment.

Hi.
how much does it cost to fix/replace the screen of the galaxy nexus device? i dropped my work's galaxy nexus and the screen is cracked with a small hole near the edge of the screen.
the phone seems to still work and the screen is still responsive as ever but actual screen casing is cracked.
I dont think its insured by work but just incase , how much is it to repair/replace? Same cost as the device? i hope not as im already stressing about it lol.
Who would fix it? Samsung themselves or do i ask a specialist?
I am based in london by the way if that helps.
thanks
id suggest you fix it yourself, just buy the sreen which is about $250 :s, but hey its at least not as much as a new nexus
taking the phone apart the device is quite easy try using these links here:

And if he send it back to samsung its gonna be 160$.... at the moment its not worth to repair it by himself.
Youll need to wait for the price to go down if you want to replace if yourself.
Yea i seen the prices of the digitiser and it aint cheap. they start at around £160-£200
Does anyone know of a way to get a replacement battery door for a reasonable price?
I just got this phone a little over a month ago, and already the battery door doesn't fit anymore.

It seems like it's too big for the phone. I pop in one side, and the other side pops out. It's impossible to snap all the pins in at the same time. I have no idea how it got this way.
I called samsung and the service rep told me that the battery door is the only thing that is not covered by warranty.
No offense, but it looks like you're not inserting the bottom end of the door first. That's the part sticking out in that picture. It slides in first, then snap the rest in place

I wish it was me just being stupid. I've spent a good half an hour trying to maneuver it into place. No matter what I do, I can't get all the pegs to snap into place.
I'd like to add that I called the genuine Samsung accessory department, and the ditsy girl on the phone said she has never heard of a gsm galaxy nexus, and she only had the Sprint and Verizon one in her computers. Those back covers are only $9, but unfortunately don't fit my GSM version.

Just don't get the ones with the metallic look. They may look pretty, but they have the same fit up problem, AND also weaken the radio. I had a lot of trouble getting a GPS lock while using those, and my cellphone reception was weaker too.
you probably forced the cover on also not putting it on properly, causing the connectors to wear out.
Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, mods please move/delete if inappropriate.
I have access to a window sticker manufacturer who can do me some Waving Android window stickers like these:

I'm not after making a fortune off these, just a small handling and postage charge per sticker.
Would anyone be interested in them before I get him to make me a load?
Cheers,
BS...
How much for one
Sent from my LTEVO
I'm waiting to find out. If there's a demand for them I'll get a bunch printed up. May look at passing any profit onto an appropriate charity too. Suggestions would be welcomed.
Cheers,
BS...
Can get them made and posted for £3, so I'd probably go for £4 with the profit (after handling charge) going to charity. I'd say 60p going to charity from the sale of each one.
Cheers,
BS...
Renegotiated with the manufacturer and can now get them made and posted for £1.50, so I would sell them for £2.50 with 60p from each sale going to an appropriate charity.
The initial batch I've had made are 10cm wide, but I've asked for them to be increased in width to 15cm.
Is this the correct forum to sell these, or is there an actual place for selling on here?
Cheers,
BS...
Is your posted price only for shipping within the UK, or also for international orders?
That would be UK only, international postage rates would apply.
BS...
Quite disappointed with the response to be honest. I thought we might have a few more after them.
Oh well, it was worth a punt I suppose.
Cheers,
BS...
