Anyone know where I could find a spare battery cover for my black mytouch 4g? I had my phone taken apart on my bed and when i came back my dog decided it was a nice chew toy to play with. Its completely bent to the point where i cant get it on the phone no matter what.

sometimes people sell display model fake phones on E-bay. these phones are usually the case with a fake screen plastered on the front and may be of use to you... i don't know if that will apply to this phone, but it's worth a try
This One is 20 bucks and is a non functional dummy display... It might be made of plastic, but usually in my experiences these are actual phone bodies, with fake insides (or no insides as it were...)

looking at this image it looks like the battery door on it may be able to work... no way to tell unless the seller is willing to let you know or you take the plunge and try it
one of the auctions says "can't be used for spare parts" but that could be referring to the internals. you should ask one of the sellers if the battery door is removeable and have them send you a pic of it removed if it is so you can determine if it will work.

Hey everyone,
A While ago my usb connector snapped off (WOOHOO) not
I have taken a picture of it and am wondering if anyone thinks that a brand new connector could happily be placed in there, it was a really enjoyable phone and would hate to loose it

that looks workable. i could probably get a leg attached on the second land there and make it work. just find someone that knows surface mount soldering. the only questionable leg is the second from the right. could have been pulled up. take a better picture of that and repost if you can. even if it's gone though. there's still hope. make sure the four corners get a solid soldering. they are your primary anchors.

Hi, the same thing happened to me tonight. :/
although I don't I would have the knowledge of getting it back on.
I just paid them
Pocket Pc Techs and I will hopefully ship my phone out later today.
Can anyone give me any feedback on this company??
I can fix that for you if you need it sorting out, it wont be the first I done and I'm sure it will not be the last. PM me if you are interested.
Has anyone here noticed a slight hump on the rear case it location is central on the spine about 2 thirds of the way down. It is a above a recess on the inside of the case which accommodates the plastic retaining lug for the SIM card. Its very minor, I only noticed it when I was rubbing my finger over the case, I just wanted to check with other people to eliminate the possibility its a defect on mine.
Other than this its the best smart-phone I have ever used, well worth the wait as I am a Handtec customer.
Thanks for checking
Have it too, but it is really difficult to spot.
I cannot see it with my eyes, basically only feel and you have to be very careful to notice it even then.
I can't feel or see this if it is there.
only found it because you made me search for it
wish i didnt read this thread. now im going to look for it, find it, and be displeased by it.
Not on mine...
i noticed it the other day as well
it is there but I don`t care.

neither do I, as other people have said it very very minor.
It's a great handset I'm very happy with it and will be more happy when the official screen protectors are available.
if it wasn't there the cover would have to be a couple of mm thicker to accommodate the recess on the inside to clear the plastic lug. I think, on reflection, that this was a good idea on HTCs part.

nothing whatsoever here.
Maybe you have particularly fat SIM cards?
I have a question, I saw a picture of the backplate of the lu6200 where it has two metal contacts...what are those metal contacts touching?
Saw your question in the other thread, but didn't have time to make a picture.

It should be for NFC, so the black plate in the backcover must be the "antenna" (receiver/sender) for data-exchange between 2 NFC-compatible devices.
its nfc.
hi daniel...
The reason I ask is we nitro users actually have those contacts covered by a the sticker....and it appears the contacts cover the sim holder like it would for us...
@Epyoch: Can you upload a pic?
@richard.w: Do we know each other?
I think he was just creeping you on Ricardo's posts on G+. You have the same display picture here.
I guess too, anyway... nothing to hide.

well I have a pic of the backplate in a post from earlier but kind of impossible for me to take a picture of the phone's back as my camera is broken which is why I ended up with this cell phone....but it's the exact same back as yours...with the sim right next to the camera....the metal holder is where I would assume the contacts would touch on your phone...I haven't pulled back the sticker on my back plate but I know someone who has, and I pointed him to your picture on that other post...he said it's the exactly the same
My phone technically is still under warranty and I really don't want to pull that sticker until I know if in fact our phone actually has nfc....or if we just happen to have the same back plate.
The Nitro does not have NFC...do you really not see the difference between the pics Cromson posted and our phone? On the LU6200, there are two metal contacts between the microSD card slot and battery that our Nitro does not have. On his back cover, there are two corresponding white squares we don't have and the material for his back cover is completely different.
Hi.
how much does it cost to fix/replace the screen of the galaxy nexus device? i dropped my work's galaxy nexus and the screen is cracked with a small hole near the edge of the screen.
the phone seems to still work and the screen is still responsive as ever but actual screen casing is cracked.
I dont think its insured by work but just incase , how much is it to repair/replace? Same cost as the device? i hope not as im already stressing about it lol.
Who would fix it? Samsung themselves or do i ask a specialist?
I am based in london by the way if that helps.
thanks
id suggest you fix it yourself, just buy the sreen which is about $250 :s, but hey its at least not as much as a new nexus
taking the phone apart the device is quite easy try using these links here:

bloody hell $250?

And if he send it back to samsung its gonna be 160$.... at the moment its not worth to repair it by himself.
Youll need to wait for the price to go down if you want to replace if yourself.
Yea i seen the prices of the digitiser and it aint cheap. they start at around £160-£200
Does anyone know of a way to get a replacement battery door for a reasonable price?
I just got this phone a little over a month ago, and already the battery door doesn't fit anymore.

It seems like it's too big for the phone. I pop in one side, and the other side pops out. It's impossible to snap all the pins in at the same time. I have no idea how it got this way.
I called samsung and the service rep told me that the battery door is the only thing that is not covered by warranty.
No offense, but it looks like you're not inserting the bottom end of the door first. That's the part sticking out in that picture. It slides in first, then snap the rest in place

I wish it was me just being stupid. I've spent a good half an hour trying to maneuver it into place. No matter what I do, I can't get all the pegs to snap into place.
I'd like to add that I called the genuine Samsung accessory department, and the ditsy girl on the phone said she has never heard of a gsm galaxy nexus, and she only had the Sprint and Verizon one in her computers. Those back covers are only $9, but unfortunately don't fit my GSM version.

Just don't get the ones with the metallic look. They may look pretty, but they have the same fit up problem, AND also weaken the radio. I had a lot of trouble getting a GPS lock while using those, and my cellphone reception was weaker too.
you probably forced the cover on also not putting it on properly, causing the connectors to wear out.
