Help with rooting 4.1.1 - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey ladies and gents. Question, is there a definitive guild to root my 4.1.1 GS3? I want to add the stable cyanogenmod and there are various methods of rooting and I'm looking for the most tried and true way.
Thanks for your time and help

Rooting on 4.0.4 UVLH1

Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forums and I'm super excited. I've been wanting to root my SII for over half a year and I've finally built the courage to do so. I've looked through the forums and I found Melvin's post on how to root.
My question is, can I root my SII when its in version 4.0.4 UVLH1 using Melvin's method? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194)
Thanks!
Ken
Yes
I don't know from personal experience since I rooted with gingerbread but from reading I heard people having trouble with ics and melvins guide. Sooooo eliminate the doubt and just use this.

Its essentially the same thing. Flash CWM from Odin, then boot into CWM and flash superuser.
Something about superuser version...

There is a stickies in this forum that are fine.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529058
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26328017&postcount=123 <-- that is in a different sticky (less in depth instructions). Although with that you probably should download a more up to date recovery, but it would get you root with the old recovery.
That said...I recommend letting your friend do the work. That way he/she can learn, and if there is a problem, he/she can possibly fix it. Rather than being stuck without a device until you can get around to potentially fixing it. Especially if you plan on flashing custom ROMs and kernels.

how to root help?

Anyone can point me in the right direction on how to get my brand mew note 8.0 rooted and where I can get cwm installed so I can flash a rom from rom section. Any help is appreciated thank you in advance
Start with framaroot. Then read. Not sure about the availability of your rom choice. Good luck!

After searching around and then realizing that google would help I found my answer there is a rootkit out for it. Thanks
Just looking in the Original Development subforum, would have answered all your questions. There is also this in General: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229788

[Q] How to root and install custom roms?

Before you ask to search, I have. It's just that I'm a noob and new to Samsung devices as I previously have owned an HTC device. I've searched the thread for many ways to root but I've found around 3-4 different threads and I don't know which one to go by. Also, since I have the Canadian T989D version, does following a T989 root guide and flashing roms that state T989 differ from T989D? Also, how am I able to flash TWRP as the recovery? Thanks and sorry for my noobiness..
This guide is excellent

Yes, it will work. The main difference to just root your phone from the T989, is the way to put it in recovery mode.
