Hello Im new to this forums so this forum may not be the right place to ask questions about STweaks, but I can't find the answer to my question.
There is an option within the Extras menu in STweaks call Flash Kernel, Can anybody tell what this does?
Should I run this option after I setup my phone in stweaks?
thx :good:

Nope you don't have to run this option after you set up your phone . It basically just installs an another kernel and you have to download the kernel before install ut. So, just don't think about that option

IDK if you used my CWM package as your base, but the font's weren't symlinked in the updater script so sammy keyboard and facebook are broken.
Third post in your dev topic I posted an attachment with the patch

Ok
Not an issue then
I'm not getting any vibration at all. No haptic feedback or anything. Any idea why?
I will have to check it out.. Will update tomorrow on what I find

Guess it's time to go back to Yaldak's UCLD2. Vibration is a huge necessity for me.

In the sound settings, all tick boxes are checked for vibration and the intensity turned up. I only ask because I never noticed these settings in GB (unless I totally missed it), and you just never know.
Posted a zip to flash new kernel in OP and Dev Thread to fix Vibration issue..
what sthe real different between kernels? Which has better battery life RACing?
Racing19969, you're a god damn hero. When I get paid I'll send you some beer money.
Would this kernel work on the Skyrocket R2 ROM to fix the vibration intensity?
Does lock screen weather work on this ROM? Netflix?

So is this going to have the font issue with the new kernal? Or was that just yaldaks and I don't need the fix?

So... other than the vibrate fix, does anyone has a convincing reason to flash the other kernal? I could give 2 poops about vibrate, I'm in love with this new leak.

Had the vibration issue, with is big for me, and it wasn't reading my SD card.
Also, I ended up going back to the Skyrocket port by Racer for the custom stock theme that I was able to install. When I tried flashing the rom I got a blank screen of death, so I reverted back.
I can live without Netflix and a camcorder for now. I'm in love with the Skyrocket port Rom, it's been amazing for me thus far. If it ain't broke don't fix it, though I do want to eventually upgrade.
I deff like this kernel better than the previous thanx for the fix everything seems to be working

Thank you for your time....but I am not asking how to supercharge my phone I am asking is what happening is normal....????
And btw I can't install busybox from busybox installer...
Sent from my Wonder
As far as I know on stock ROM without supercharge, its normal for launcher redraws(lag) especially when running lots of apps.My advice is If you dont't want to run the supercharger then you need to clear the memory often either using the stock task manger or 3rd party app. However, this effect is much less on CM9 and I actually don't use V6 script on CM9.

What happens to your phone is normal. If you use too many apps you have too many background process that slow down the cpu.
Supercharge your phone is a smart answer and a perfect solution for you problem.
Had u check if u are really rooted (the busybox problem)?
Try with "root checker" in play store.
Thank you all for help..

I hit "search" to bring up the GNow app, not double tapping home.

ok there are different ways to install it all clearly laid out for you in the thread. I sugges take your time and read carefully. if you have rooted your phone then I dont see how this can be an issue. Honestly there are only a few ways to install anything android related:
Flash it - placing zip on sd card, booting into recovery and flash
install it - placing apk on sd card and clicking on it
Push it - done by using adb codes
Quite sure on that page its nothing more than flashing thru recovery since I have already done it.

using a root file manger go to system\ and open the build.prop, search for something like #HTC screenshot feature, it should be set to "true", you have to write "false" and save the file. that's done

Regarding the update, i didnt try that yet but i think it will not update. If ur mobile is rooted there is another way that makes u be able to update from play store. I recommend the 2nd way. If u want it let me knw.
