Hi there,
now I really need your help,
I read the thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859714
But fastboot returns
version-main: 1.28.207.9
I can`t find a RUU for that?
So is it right that if I don`t have a nandroid-backup, I can`t return to stock at the moment?
What's your cid ? Is it a branded or a unbranded device ?
Do fastboot command
Fastboot oem readcid

Thank you for your quick reply.
Its an unbrandend device.
Here is the result:
(bootloader) DEBUG: cid: O2___102
OKAY [ 0.140s]
finished. total time: 0.140s
Thank you
Its a branded device ! Your cid starts with O2
---------- Post added at 02:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:03 PM ----------
What you can try to do is to flash a nandroid backup matching your cid number, the nandroid will have a higher software number so it will start with 2.17.207.**. Do a full wipe and restore that nandroid with the boot.img and after that you flash back the 2.17 stock recovery and you are back on stock to obtain the JB update !

Ok, there is one existing.
Flashing now.
What I am wondering about, I bought the device without a contract, so it should be unbranded.
This device is my girlfriends, I bought the same device in another store and my cid is HTC__102...
Strange ? HTC__102 is unbranded yes, O2__102 is from a carrier if i'm not mistaken ! Otherwise it also should be HTC__102
You bought it from a store ? Or second hand ? And you are running it with the O2 carrier ?

I bought it from a small store, yes. New, not second hand.
And its running with the O2 carrier... strange

Ok,
I am back on stock now
Thanks for that!!
But I am sure it was an unbranded device...
Could it be that the CID is modified by flashing a ROM?

Well actually not that i know of ! The fastboot command gives the real cid from the phone and not a software generated cid number !
Now you are on stock 2.17 software .... if you flash back the 2.17 stock recovery you are also ready to update to JB when the provider rolls it out !
This is the stock 2.17 recovery

So,
everything seems to be fine now.
I flashed the stock-recovery, however, o2 did not release an update until now.
Though I still can`t beliebe that its a branded o2 device.
Thank you again for your help Mr Hofs :good:
I hope some other people find this thread useful, too.
Hello friends, I really don't know if this is the correct thread but I will give it a try ...I bought an HTC ONE X and my problem is that I took the phone from a friend of mine and it had ARHD installed already (with hboot 1.28.0000 and 3.14.401.600 and HTC__01).
I managed to flash hboot 1.39.0000 and I download RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radi o_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe !! I am trying to flash the stock rom as you understand but whatever I did I get error in the update process of the RUU (error 55, then 155 I think). My bootloader is relocked right now and I really don't know what to do. I have search a lot of topics, I am reading from yesterday but I can't make the phone work. Should I flash something else (like boot.img) ??
Many thanks for your help.

You updated the hboot to 1.39 and i think the ruu comes with hboot 1.36 so that's a downgrade to the hboot and that is not possible ! I think that's why you get an error !
You should unlock the bootloader again and flash the custom recovery and then flash a custom rom......or a stock like custom rom....
where can i obtain a nandroid backup of o2_002 2.1.207.x to flash? I am currently having problems with my nandroid backup

i have a problem
I have a ONE X from cid Vodap_102.
I have downloader both 1.29 and 2.17 ruu for going back to stock but when i try it says error on bootloader.
I think the problem is that i have 1.36
Vodafone didn't release a RUU for 3.14 so i don't know how to do.
Any advice? Have you got some clean backup to sent to me? (Vodap 102 cid)

Download the nandroid "Nandroid Backup 3.14.161.27 CID VODAP102 thanks to [email protected]|-|oR" From the flollowing thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
Instructions on how to flash can be found on the thread
Thank you man..
Hey guys, I got a problem.
I'm on HBOOT 1.31 right now.
Version: 3.14.401.619
I want to flash a Stock RUU and lock the device again.
I found this RUU:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.14.401.27_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_298897_signed.exe
In the thread was a hint that these is for HBOOT 1.36
So i can't install this. If I try, I get an 155 error message.
I thought if I'm on a lower Hboot I could flash RUU's with higher Hboots without problems?!
What can I do? Update Hboot to 1.36 and try to flash the RUU again?
Or is there another way?
I trying for hours now and don't now what to do anymore.
Fastboot oem readcid
What comes out of that ?
I got
HTC__102
Well what you can try is to fully restore a 2.17.401 nandroid backup and flash back the stock 2.17 recovery and update again to 3.14 ! Its the last 3 digits that are off. Think that's the reason why a ruu won't work in this case !
Link to nandroid
http://db.tt/xT5zfFWi
Link to stock recovery
http://db.tt/OtcxVXh5
Unpack the nandroid to the sdcard. Flash the boot.img from the nandroid, make a full wipe in recovery and restore the nandroid. Then flash back the stock recovery and boot into android OS and update via official ota.....
Do NOT relock the bootloader !!!

thanks for you help! the problem was, I got no backups anymore.
I solve my problem: Updated the hboot to 1.36 and flashed the ruu. That worked for me!
Oke thanks for the info
My Hboot is 1.39
and i wanted to know what is the latest Hboot for this CID
as i saw some guys here having the same CID and have Hboot v1.73
So can someone help before i screw up my phone ?
BTW i am currently with ARHD 31.3
Also , My stock backup is gone , so thats an issue and i didn't find a ruu for my phone.
Some hints :
Fastboot getvar version-main
That command gives you the nand number you need. Check in the general section for the nandroid backup collection. And restore the one you need if it's available for download. After restore you need to flash back the stock recovery and update. How to is described there too.
And yes there are updates waiting for you.
Cheers.
Ruu is not available indeed. And if there is no nand available just keep on using a sense 5 rom if you want. All current roms work on your 1.39 hboot.

If you wish to update the hboot, all u need to do is do a nandroid restore to 4.0.4 (which is available in this forum)..fastboot flash stock boot.img, and fastboot flash stock recovery.img and lastly relock the bootloader..then update your phone normally via OTA to get the latest rom and hboot..unlock and install custom roms...that's it...
And do NOT loose another stock backup again !
Edit :
Relocking the bootloader is not needed. The 1.29 and the 3.16 are available. The 1.29 is probably of no use because i don't think you find official ota with that anymore. The 3.16 may be of use but therefore we need your main. If your main is lower you cant use it either !
You can find them here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140
@amirage where is the 4.0.4 ? I can't see it at this moment.....another thread ?
1.29 = 4.0.3
3.16 = 4.1.1

I've figured out the problem! (Y)
1. Installed Twrp Recovery
2.Mounted SD Card
3.Placed Cyanogen 9 ICS ROM in SDcard
4.Installed Cyanogen from recovey
Now how I can update my Hboot version from 1.12 to 1.29 or above? As I'm not able to find Jellybean RUU for my CID (Bstar301 SPAIN).
