Vibrates and closes apps. Problem. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Ok every now and then my phone will start vibrating and backing out of whatever I'm doing. It's just like I was hitting the back button over and over. Sometimes it does it for a sec and other times it's for a few secs. Anyone experience this?

tapatalk does not close on one try pressing back button

I use tapatalk to browse xda or other forums. When i press the back button on the T989 it stops at the program's forums list and just flashes each time. it finally exits after 10+ times of pressing back button. if i press home button then it closes. not a big deal but just wondering if this happens to anyone else.
Nope, just you. My Tapatalk app is tamed
It probably has something to do with the way you use Tapatalk. It works fine on my phone.

[SOLVED] Stock browser doesn't return to a previous page!!!!

Stock android browser doesnt go back. When I view websites and hit back button or return button it just refreshes the page.
This happpens % 90 of the time. I have to press return very rapidly 3, 4 times and mostly 5 times to be able to go back to a damn previous page. Sometimes pressing 4-5 times very rapidly is not enough I have to repeat this procedure 3-4 times also, just to be able to go to a previous page. This makes it total 20 return key pressess. Wtf?
This drives me [email protected]#$ CRAZY!!!. Seriously 20 times just to be able to go back 1 page?
What is the solution to this. I dont wanna use other browsers btw. I need a solution to this or I am about to throw it to the wall.

I personally would like to see you "throw it to the wall."
Also just tried it on mine to go back 4 pages and a casual press of the button works for me.

Try www.engadget.com and open any article and after it loads the page press back and see if it goes back. Mine doesnt.

Just tried the endgadget site and it went right back to previous page here.

I found the source of the problem. Ad-free app makes it like that. Once I reverted my host file its working again.

I was using adaway app so I emailed the developer about the issue and he suggested me to select the "local web server" in preferences. Now I can go back from any website with 1 click
I dont know if there is such an option in adfree but you can use adaway if not.

this is a known android issue, not a adaway app issue, trust me you will encounter it again

Phone vibrates and won't boot

So I was listening to music on my phone with slim bean and it fell behind the bed and when I found it all it does is say Samsung and vibrate in a consistent pattern. Also if I remove the battery and put it back in it vibrates as soon as battery/charger is connected. Does this mean it somehow got in bootloader mode? If so is their a way to get it out without my PC? I tried getting into twrp but. No avail.

These is a similar thread floating around here where people have had this issue when using Pandora. See if you can search for it.

Thank you, I fell into a noob panic. Thanks for calming me down lol. Looks like I may have a power button issue on my hands

No problem. I knew there was something on it but didn't know the details. People have also had a similar problem with Pandora. Don't know if that's what you were listening to, but there seems there's a problem with Pandora and the latest roms.

I was listening to music from my SD card. I got it to boot
But I didn't have the similar in and when I rebooted it it did the same thing. Also got it to load the tarp splash and it rebooted then and I can see the screen flicker like it was booting and the power button was pressed. Looks like I'm going to have to send it off. Hope I can get it replaced for free if not I'm gonna look at a different phone.

[Q] Glitchy Back and Menu Button.

Hey guys,
I have an issue that didn't affect me much at first, but it seems like its happening a lot more lately. When I tap the back or menu key, its like the button sticks, it keeps pressing itself over and over again so fast. I usually just lock the phone to make it stop.
I have tried different Roms, but I guess that has nothing to do with it.
Has anyone experienced this? If so, did you fix it?
I have experienced this.....the only why I could find to fix it was to return my device. Sorry this probably didnt help you much.

This is a hardware issue and needs to be replaced.

Screen cuts off while using dial pad during calls etc

OK I have the stock ROM for my phone just rooted. Nothing special other than a few odds and ins that are rooted apps. My qslide apps stopped working like 3weeks ago. Rooted my phone 4weeks ago...a few days after purchasing it. Now...when I use my dial pad within a call it cuts the screen off then I have to press the power button for the screen to cut back on. Also when using my address book search bar I can only type like 3 letters before it clears all the previous letters typed and uses the last letter I typed...weird...anyone else having these issues or know of any solutions other than flashing to Cryogen 10?

I suggest 1 thread dyde . like o posted in the other, try a factory reset. Are you using a screen protector by any chance? It can cause issues with phone calls when trying to use the dial pad.
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda app-developers app
No screen protector

So should I factory reset even though I'm planning on flashing to a ROM? I just hate it that I'll lose my launcher organization and all my apps. I'm very anal about how my stuff is set up
