Our device has a 1 GB RAM chip. Why do we see only 693 MB available? On other 1 GB phones the available RAM is at least 850 MB, sometimes even 920..940 MB. Where is the remaining RAM in Nexus?

This configuration will easily handle it and would be easier using LINUX, i recommend UBUNTU or MINT, :good::
There are two variants of 4gig model
1.8 and 2.3 .
I wanna know how much difference is there between them ?

The extra 2gb makes all the difference. 1.8 vs 2.3 isn't much of a factor. If 64gb and a quick charger is worth $60 to you, then the extra cpu speed is a bonus.
You will probably see the difference in gaming, multitasking and power hungry apps.
The thing is you can clock down the cpu with a 2.3 but you cannot overclock a 1.8 to 2.3.
are there?, we are talking about z551 right?, from what I knew, the 1.8ghz model only have 2gb ram, while buying the 4gb ram one gives you 2.3ghz proc. But CMIIW.

I dont see difference between 1.8 and 2.3GHz. I usually underclock the Z3580 to 1.83GHz (less, sometimes), and I dont feel drop in the smoothness.
If you can spend some more, its better you go with the 2.3GHz Model.
So Got One M8 From Ebay at Cheap Price. First Thing I Did Was To Download CPUZ and Check the device It Shows Qualcom 801 and 2 GB RAM and FULL HD Display But Shown only Three Sensor That Created Doubt So I Went To Download CPU X and Many Other Alike All of Them Showed MTK 6582 and 1 GB of RAM Even Setting Menu Shows 2 GB of RAM. I Tried Antutu and Got 43K+ Score It Shows Processor as SD801 and 2 GB Ram Tried Quadrunt Benchmark And It Gave Score of 8000 But Shown MTK 6582 and 1 GB RAM. Help Me
