Hello. I recently installed a Bluetooth stereo. I listened to music using the stock player for 2 weeks with no issues. I'm running Jelly Bomb version 11.0 and perseus-alpha27 kernel. Now most of my music stutters constantly. Any suggestions?

Here is my problem
I am using stock HTC desire Stock ROM (rooted) . Still yesterday I was using built-in Music player (customized by HTC) and everything was working perfectly. I mostly use headphones to listen to songs ( with next/prev/pause from it)
Today I installed the new app Android Music (claimed to be from AOSP 2.3 build) and after installed I realized that it doesn't have lock screen control and headphones control and i uninstalled it.
Now my headphone controls are not working with default Music player. Is there any way that I can get it back ?
Thanks,
UKanth
I have this same issue. Yesterday I listen normally music in my car by aux connection, today I connect phone to radio but phone don't see any connection even with headphones. Anybody know what can be source of problem I'm running on leedroid 2.3c
Sry for poor English :
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I had a similar issue. Just uninstalled cubed and that fixed it. May be an issue with having more than one music player trying to use the headphone controls in their own way.
Hope this helps.
cheers.
Hey guys,
Whenever I use my bluetooth JayBird Freedom jf3's
They skip audio while I'm in the weight room. At first I thought it was the headset, so I replaced it with a new headset. Didn't work and still skips.
I tried running different Sense roms and MIUI and am about to try Cyanogen.
I'm open to all ideas. I just wanna get a good workout without music skipping.
I have a Droid X (1st gen) running Cyanogenmod 7.1.0-RC0-DROIDX-KANG. I have the same issue with music skipping badly while I am out walking. As soon as I stop moving and stand still, the skipping stops. I can sit and watch a movie on my Asus Transformer TFT101 with these and have no issues.
Any idea? I purchased these for my walks.... not to just sit idle.
Edit: I used the stock music player and PowerAmp version 1.4-build-387 Full version
Just update my Droid X (1st gen) to Cyanongenmod 7-08272011-NIGHTLY-DROIDX. The problem is worse now. Not only does the music continue to skip while I am walking.... now I have the bluetooth connection dropping. When the drop occurs, the music player pauses. I am going to try testing with my Asus Transformer TFT101 running Prime 1.7 rom and I am going to try it with my HTC Thunderbolt running the stock rom (non-rooted). I will post more later.

Well... on the HTC Thunderbolt, running the stock ROM (Android version 2.2.1), (Baseband version 1.39.00.0627r), (Kernel version 2.6.32.21-g0606a3a [email protected] #1) the Jaybird JF3 Freedom works flawlessly. I have walked/jogged with no skips or pauses. Hmmm
Edit: I used the stock music player and PowerAmp version 1.4-build-387 Full version
BT Stack
Hey brah,
Thanks for the updates. I have tried a few more Sense Roms, and they are working great with my JF3's.
Specifically Kinged SHOOTER E3D: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1203761
After further research online/cross posting in ppcgeeks, I have come to the conclusion that it is the BlueTooth Stack (BT Stack) that is problematic.
Most Sense 3.0 Roms have the better BT Stack.
However, these Sense roms are also terrible with battery life :X
Between low battery and skipping tunes. I've chosen Good Workout > Full Unplugged day.
Hey all,
I am experiencing a new bug with the stock Play Music app over the past week. With headphones or an auxiliary cable for my stereo plugged in, the player will pause randomly when a song is playing. And when I unpause the song it will play for anywhere between 5 and 10 seconds before pausing again. This keeps me from being able to hear an entire song. I know it is not a hardware problem because I am able to play Pandora without the music pausing. It is a problem that only occurs in the stock play music app. I am on stock 4.1 on Verizon. I am currently using jame bond khlang kernel.
Any ideas? I have tried uninstalling and re installing as well as clearing data. Nothing has helped. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
When I'm lsitening to music on my Galaxy Nexus using Google Play Music, and I try to pause it using lockscreen controls, notification or widget, the music just keeps playing. Then when I try to pause it in the app itself, it pauses, only to continue playing after 10-ish seconds...
I've had this problem for a while now, with different Roms (stock, PA 3.15, Slim Bean) and I even clean flashed a few times, for example last version of Paranoid Android (3.60 JUN23) which I'm running now. Kernel is franco.kernel #378, and using the Beats Louder mod.
Anyone know why this keeps happening, even after clean flashing?
Hello,
I listen to some podcasts on my phone, and after upgrading to Kitkat, I found that if I pause playback and want to resume after a while, it resets from the beginning.
After some poking around, it seems that the player app and services close automatically after 2 minutes of inactivity. This did not happen on JB before the update.
I have tried using other music apps from the play store and they do not show this behavior and can resume playback normally.
Can I do something about this issue or is this built into the app or the OS. I like the stock player and rather not use a different app if I don't have to.
If it is relevant, I am running on stock firmware 4.4.2 (I9195XXUCNH5).
