I want to know that can I restore backup created from my friends mobile via cwm recovery
Because I didn't create backup and my friend on purely stock
So can I install his phones backup in my phone
It will change my imei no or any other?

Yes you can change it. But first. make sure to wipe data first your phone and restore the backup from your friend. And it's like twins
Btw, about the imei. Im not sure but i think it will not change. But if you wanna try it. Report us back if it changed or not..

It surely will work, and no the imei wouldn't change.
Ur imei not change if u use ur friend nandroid backup but ur friend account details like google ac samsung ac and friend phone contact will change........ If u want to fresh backup wipe/data fst ur friend device then create new backup.

Ive bricked my phone, and i cant flash a rom onto it because somethings wrong with my phone drivers on my laptop, ive heard that i can unbrick it using a backup.
Please help as m phone is under contract and if the sim card isnt inserted on my sgy for 48 hours, i will loose $200 worth of credit, and i have 24 hours help, please reply as soon as possible:crying:

If it's bricked, it's bricked. But if you can boot into recovery, there is a chance to save your phone, just Google?

Wrong forum for the Galaxy Grand i9082, that why we need this device added to the new device list.
I have the i9082 and use root external 2 internal to swap memory. try it from google play.

Samsung does not support this, I have tried Apps2SD and many others but failed.
There are few workarounds but you have to be rooted and I have seen theses workarounds only for the S3.

i tried to root my samsung i9082 it shows pass on odin but while retarting i am not seeing the clock recovery menu its the old menu of recovery showing up . plz help and also tell me how to swap the internal memory with external sd card

you tried to root as you say! how do you expect recovery to change when you "only" root!? anyhow you galaxy grand guys are in the wrong section!

Hello all,
I have a Samsung Note 2 GT-N7100 Ver International
Using the N7100 backup and restore tool for windows made two backups and saved them successfully. I put N7100_Omega_17_XXDME6.zip Rom. using Clockwork recovery.
After installation i found that i kept on getting Not registered on network ERROR. I checked the imei and still corresponded with the one on the back of the phone. I then went to N7100 backup and restore tool and proceeded to restore. After restore completed i restarted my phone but i am still gettting Not registered on network

There's a lot of contributing factors that might cause this eg. Sim Card IC, ROM compatibility, Modem Issue and so on.
Try go to setting / more settings / mobile networks / networks mode and set to GSM only. Wait for two mins or restart the phone.
This looks like modem problem. Try to flash another modem, better via odin from pc

Also the there isn't any files in my efs folder after flashing the original stock rom but the imei is still there? wen't to restore efs worked but same problem no information in the efs folder? Is that even possible?

Sorry didn't work. Said the same message.
I was just thinking is there away to extract the files from the efs.img and manually paste it in to the efs folder? because every time i do a restore root explore shows no files in the folder? this is after flashing a new stock rom?

Flashed it with a stock Gt-N7100 Modem still same problem?

This is how i fixed it
I placed the efs.img in a zip file called "EFS-CWM-flasher.zip" theen i flashed it with "CMWRecovery" then download 'Ariza patch.apk" restarted the phone and presto all working again.

Ok what have you lost?
If you have the correct imei then flash this tool and it will recover your network.

If your imei isn't correct either 0000 or 004499 then you need to flash your backup efs.img if you didn't back it up then the best thing is place the original stock rom and run triangle away and warranty it.
Problem solved
Guys I had this problem for about 3 months and today I found a solution to it ..so happy, so heres the deal ...my imei was not broken but I could not make calls .the error that it gave was not registered on network.i tried flashing stock rom , different modems , different roms but no succes until now.
So heres what you have to do
Install the latest version of miui rom .
Download the dmg1 modem and install it after installing the miui rom.
Then install the ariza patch and apply yhe patch that it has.make sure that you have internet connectivity while using ariza patch.after downloading and Installing the patch your mobile will restart and hopefully you will be able to make call.

Hello guys, Recently Samsung came up with the the latest update for galaxy grand that of 97 Mb in size,till now everybody came to know how suck that update is.
I have updated my phone to this version and now i want to bring back my older version which is much stable than this so is here anybody suggest me something like how do i bring back or change my galaxy grand JB 4.2.2 OS version form I9082XXUBNB2 to I9082XXUBMK3
If there is any process available to change/downgrade/flash the Os version from I9082XXUBNB2 to I9082XXUBMK3, plz suggest..

Thanx Osas, that would be helpful and one more question from my side that i have heard that Galaxy grand I9082 losses some of its features like camera, Radio, auto call receive etc. after flashing it ot 4.4.2 Kitkat version... is it true..? if yes then what are other features that the phone will lose/ not been functional after upgrading to 4.4.2 kitkat

You will lose Dual Sim Functionality, Radio (substitutes available), less volume during call (manageable), Menu and back key lights stay ON whenever you touch the screen, cant swipe to call (features of Touchwiz), Multi-Window, Power Saving (we can limit processor usage in almost all CM based Kitkat ROMs, but manually).

Guys..with all your help my grand is now much stable with version I9082XXUBMK3
i have done recovery after the that and re install everything and phone is pretty smooth but now phone is asking me to register the device for software upgrade and it giving me process failed error each time m trying to register my device for software updates...!!!

No i didnt rooted my grand ,i hv just flashed and replaced the lagging version I9082XXUBNB2 to I9082XXUBMK3, using Odin and the steps suggesed by Osas514, theses are
Download mk3 firmware from sammobile ( i got this version from another source )
connect ur grand to ur pc
Boot into download mode(voldown+home+power button)
Flash through odin
then ran the recovery and re-installed all required apps

f you had not rooted before, this might be caused due to the problem from Samsung server side. Try again after few days. If its essential u need OTA Updates, Try flashing via Odin. Also try using triangle away if your phone is rooted.
Firmware Upgrade from BMK3 to BMG3 for Galaxy Grand I9082
Hey guys,
There is a new firmware released(JULY 2014) in India for Galaxy grand I9082 is I9082XXUBNG3, Well currently my phone is running on BMK3 (YES i downgraded from laggy BNB1),
So is there any way to upgrade the firmaware from BMK3. to BNG3 directly .? Or i need to go through step by step like BMK3 to BNB1 then BMG3..??
1 more query for you guys i still unable to register my phone for OTA updates, each time trying to register my device after selecting the region it gives me an error i.e. Attension.. Processing failed..!!
Is this problem solved after upgrading the phone to BMG3..?

I just had a similar 'processing failed' problem and realised it might be because I haven't got a SIM card in the phone...
Have you tried inserting a sim card - or trying it with a different sim?
My grand Duos hangs on the GT-19082 startup screen and when i tried recovery i gives me red lines of E: Can't mount and when i try wiping or resetting it displays the same can't mount messages, and after trying to flash a new official rom it goes okay and after flashing when it is trying to boot it gives the same message, So i think the internal storage is dead cause i had the same problem before with Gt-i9000 and i solved it by removing the internal memory ic and flashing a 3 files rom on external Sd . Will this also work for grand duos or no please any help to save my phone and thanks in advance

I guess u messed up with the internal partitions of internal memory..What exactly error u r getting can u say correctly plz???

Its better if u give u r mobile to Samsung Officials for the repair since u said that it had fallen down it might have damaged ur mother board or any part...!! And I9000 method will not work in Grand Duos since these to r different devices and parameters r different...

I think you should try to flash stock rom with PIT files.
Cz it may be possible that u messed up with the system partition while rooting or something else. So might give a try.
Bt at last..its ur own responsibility.
