Created a Bootanimation for my One cause i'm a bit of a nerd like that...This has only the Dr. Who bootanimation right now with more projects that i'm working on now....(such as StarTrek, StarWars, etc.) and if you have any ideas just threw them out there and i'll see what i can get together....but no promises....but i'll try.....
IF YOU WANT A CUSTOM BOOTSCREEN OR HAVE IDEAS POST THEM AND I'LL SEE WHAT I CAN DO =-)
Will make more as time goes along....
Youtube video with Bootanimation here......(This was originally for the One X, but remade it for One......)

Which .mp3???? The Tardis one???
When you flash the bootanimation it flashes a .mp3 as well in (System/Customize/Resource/)...wouldn't be on your SD card.
when I just put the renamed file where you wrote and have another boot animation it is not working right (Trickdroid 5.2.1.)?

I would be forever in your debt if you could make this a boot animation for my HTC One. I had an app to convert animated gifs for my Inspire but it doesn't do 1080x1920 unfortunately..Thanks!
Had to zip the animated gif, hope it works.
love the climactic music you used but wanted to see if you could get a good clip of the current seasons Intro Music. I like the way the theme has evolved over the years
do you have a specific episode its played in??? could watch them all again, but that could get me sucked in...lol
Just seen your boot, really liked it!
I've got an idea though - what do you think about getting the final Tardis animation to continue, and then the doors be opened (assuming the animation is taken from the latest Who intro) to reveal the original HTC One last animation frame (with a DW logo instead of beats)?
More of a star wars fan so would love a boot animation of Luke Skywalker duelling with Darth Vadar with light sabers

Battlefield 4
When i had my HTC EVO 3D i had the commercial to Battlefield 3. Wondering if you could do the same with the new Battlefield 4 commercial take a clip from their.
How did you make sure it's flashable? I thought that it varied dependant on where the boot animation is located on different ROMs.
You can add a altered default.xml that will put it in where you want it(i have mine in system/customiz/resource(stock location) and renamed and have up and down audio

It usually is in the system/customize/resource folder by default, not many roms deviate away from that...i know Venom changes some things for the One XL but never had issues.....I just set it up for the default location.....

As some of you have already asked for replacements for the Windows Mobile splash screens, I decided to make a couple.
To install these:
Download the NBH file by clicking the link below the image.
Copy the NBH to SD card, Rename to KAISimg.nbh, Flash by powering on while holding down camera button, same as flashing to nand.
These splash screens will not alter your nand flashed Android in any way, they simply replace the old splash screen.

I actually made the K S and E myself using gimp. Searched high and low for the actual font but its not released. I thought about changing the S and E to fit the rest of the font better but haven't got around to it.
Did wonder about that, been searching all over the place for that font, lol, but since it's not supposed to be used on anything other than official google andoid logos, I'll just have to use what I have

Where is that old funny boot animation from android where the android use to look out of screen? That was for me the best boot animation.
Don't know that one, if you find it please post it here

Very cool.... Thanks alot worked great/looks great.
Looks good... however for some reason it reminds me a lot of a Windows boot screen.
That is just amazing right there, thats the best boot ive seen since the droidx red eye bootanimation.
Thank for posting this.

If you push to there, it overwrites the "default". if you put in /data/local/ you can remove it and restore the default boot animation.
Can someone make this a flashable .zip?

Is there a version of this that is all colors, doesn't switch to just blue in the middle? (and doesn't have the droid?)
Not entirely sure why, but it seems like it's skipping a few frames on my G1. It jumps when it goes to and from cyan. That was with the bootanimation.zip, I'll try the flash one and see if it is any different.

This occurs for me on the G1 using the flashable version. Not complaining at all just an FYI, I'm not surprised at all given the G1's hardware

Creat right folders,Updat Script, zip the files and sign again.
Difficult to explain for me I´m from germany.
Maybe there are other methods to do this!

I like almost all of them. Is there any chance to randomize which one is played on every boot? Probably not, right?

Unfortunately, I believe there is no such possibility.
NP. Currently I set the Core animation. Sick and slick.
On a side note, there any possibility that these boot animations could cause random reboots? It doesn't seem logical, but it started happening right after I set them. I put about 6 of them in the /system/media folder with only one set to be the boot animation - could this be the problem?

I have tested all of these boot animations on my i9001 and did not encounter any problem. I haven't tried putting several .zips in /system/media though, I store them all on sdcard. But I assume there is possibility of strange behavior after putting unknown files on system partition. You could try to move unused boot animations to sdcard too and see if your phone stops acting weird.
Did just that - moved all other animations to SD card. Will report in a few days if the problem is related.
EDIT: Yep, it seems the random reboots were related to having more of these bootanimaton zips in the /system/media folder. After moving them the reboots completely stopped.

nice stuff. using the twist one at the moment. Could you make a version of Twist where the background is solid black (so the lights aren't even on) rather than the lit up "black"??

I'll take a look at that link, thanks.
I use GIMP to edit dimensions of image and convert each frame of .gif into standalone .png or .jpg, then I edit desc.txt to adjust framerate and compress all files into .zip archive. Nothing special.
CyanogenMod 10 .qmg Boot Animation For Samsung Galaxy Note 3
As promised this bootanimation and the rest will be focusing on higher resolution files for our big screens to look nice and crisp
1. First and foremost obviously you must be rooted and have root explorer.
2. Download and extract the zip in the attachments to your phone or push them through from the computer. It contains the 2 files needed for a bootanimation.
3. It is also always good practice to backup your phone in safestrap made possible by Hascode, MANY thanks for that.
4. Once you have everything, open root explorer and navigate to system/media and backup two files "bootsamsung.qmg" AND "bootsamsungloop.qmg".
5. After backing them up to another location on your internal or external storage, delete them from system/media and replace them with the 2 files that you extracted from the zip. Reboot and enjoy a non-stock Verizon-Free bootanimation.
Of course this is at your own risk, but it worked for me.

Here you go
If your boot animation files have a different name just rename the files in the zip to whatever your default boot animation files are named so it works. Assuming you're using a different device than the Note 3 that is. I think they may vary in file names from device to device, not sure....

the animation appears to blown out of proportion. iis due to the less pixel count in my device. it will be reallly grea if you can make Qmg for 320*240.

Sorry about that again, here is the updated file. Judging by how it came out when you sent me the video, I don't really know if it will come out correctly even now that it's fixed because I don't have that type of phone to test it on. In the end you're a tester I guess. I can only verify it working properly on the Note 3.
