Lets all post our Benchmarks!
I am using Antutu Benchmark found at the play store for free
I am currently running the Infamous1.5 ROM based on android 4.1.2
with the Infamous kernel .7.4 by Jamison904
BTW... I have about 85 or so personal apps installed in this mod
I am also running the World Weather Clock Widget at the same time
and I am not running any kernel tweaking software...
here is my score...
btw what is benchmark?

a benchmark is basically a set of tests to see how fast your phone is running
here is the dictionary meaning...
bench·mark
/ˈbenCHˌmärk/
Noun
A standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed.
Verb
Evaluate or check (something) by comparison with a standard: "we are benchmarking our performance against external criteria".
if you want to compare your device to others
go to playstore and download Antutu Benchmark and run it
I know my device would score low...I'm setup for stability and battery life.
Those with really high scores are tweaked for Max performance and probably carry an a/c charger in their pockets!

AOKP JB MR1 milestone 1.
Stock kernel. Both Cpu cores underclocked to 1.35 Ghz
Btw about 115 personal apps no mods at the moment.
Aaaaand with only one hour of screen time this is the battery life I get.

Actually I posted a benchmark and mentioned that screen was on for one hour. It was mainly a response to an earlier post about high performance means battery sacrifice. More people on this forum need to learn the balance between power vs stability/battery. Not directed at anyone in particular btw

Also, I scores 3700 in Quadrant and around 9k in Antutu. Running stock CM 10.1.

That's great and all, but hardly surprising. It's about double in scores because it has double the cores. Personally for me this would have no positive effect on my phone usage, but I would have a worse camera and have to use an lcd screen.

Yea.. not for me. A much faster phone would be nice. The Nexus 4 is much faster and smoother on all fronts. I've had 3 t989s and the camera is absolutely nothing to write home about. Compared to an exynos powered GS2, the sensor on this camera sucks.. and don't say theyre the same because they are not. SAMOLED is awesome but outdoors it's a pile of sh*t.
Point is, to each their own.

The only ROM I have tried so far was Digital Warfare and it was very smooth and had very good battery life. I reflashed my nandroid backup though because having the T989D Telus model of the phone I get the 3G icon instead of 4G. The ROM also came with a bunch of T-Mobile apps that I don't use. I can uninstall them, other than that the ROM was great.
I hear good things about battery life while running Juggernaut or Telus Stock Rooted Lightly Tweaked. If either ROM is run with Faux Kernel and one of Gideon's UC/UV scripts it's supposed to have fantastic battery life. Still have to give it a try though.

The best battery life I've seen is my current set-up. Juggernaut 5.0 with Darkside v1 kernel. I think in most part because I can underclock Darkside to 972MHz during normal use and 1296MHz for heavy stuff without any noticeable performance issues. Truth is I could go lower for normal use but 972 seems to work for me.
If you guys are interested I could throw up a screen shot after a full pull if you want.
I'm pushing 18 hours of normal use (social apps, browsing, heavy texting and some youtube and pandora) with 30% battery left. Of course this varies but to get 22-24 hours of normal use and still not be dead is normal for me.
I've run AnTuTU but don't know enough about how these systems operate to say anything other than my score goes up when the cpu MHz goes up (shocking!!) but I can throw shots of the tests up too.
This combo is a stable as any rom or kernel combo I've run b.t.w. Much respect to TDJ and Whitehawkx for the products they turn out.

Quadrant is seriously an unreliable and unaccurate benchmark tool, Use AnTuTu if you wanna checkout legit benchmarks.
I've been running ICS/JB ROMs for a while now and I average about 3600-4000 on antutu, my SD read/write scores are always crap though I'm overclocked to 1.6Ghz and use lagfree. Battery life on average for me lasts about 8 hours on a charge.

Your scores will get better once kernal source is out, but its kind of worthless now.
So CyanogenMod10 has to be by far my most favorite rom for my sgs3. But check out these benchmark Scores. The lower score is on the cm10 rom and the higher score is on the stock rom (all while rooted of course) are there any fixes to this or does CyanogenMod have to find a fix for this?

Purpose of quadrant score? To show your E-Pen15 is bigger then someone elses. Seriously.. they are tooo easily faked. If your phone is performing up to your standards.. then that's all that should really matter.

It's true tho... Benchmarks really don't make a difference.. You can have high marks (Acturate) and still have a craptastic time with the device. All comes down to the person who uses it. Your opinion is the only one who really matters. So who cares what a program says.. Does it perform and do things you want? That's all that does matter. (Just my opinion on this whole thing) I've seen several post with benchmarks and yada yada.. lol.. Who cares!

Bench marks don't lie completely, stock rom is optimized to run fast with touchwiz and cm10 is not . You can tell the speed difference ,that's why people make the kernels to speed it up.

He's very right, for many many reasons benchmarks don't reflect experience or efficiency everything from how well wrote they are to how they execute to extensions supported to the fact benchmarking assumes performance as absolute or averaged results but fails to present the constant.....

My Evo LTE stock gets 6500 on quadrant. My Note II gets 5500 stock on quadrant.Yet the Evo is laggy as all hell compared to the note II... Moral of the story? What's the point of bench marks if real world performance is better on a device that gets 1000 points less?.

So far I think staying stock is just as good as running a developed kernel for this particular ROM imho, especially when you want to get the most battery. I use SetCPu and will run min 486 and Max 1350/1404. SmartassV2 and Zen or cfq governors. I don't play many games on my phone, I have tablets for that and they are tweaked as high as I can go and be stable. It's all about what you use your phone for, most times when I benchmark it seems the higher frequency I push my score actually will get worse, might be I'm need to up my voltage, but I don't mess with voltages much. I will follow the developers guidelines for undervolting if I'm trying to squeeze that extra life, but I don't worry about it that much. Best way for me to extend my battery life is start turning things off when they're not needed. All the things I try with my devices I have learned by reading on the XDA forums, and by far the developers for our GS3's are the best and I'm very thankful for all they give up to give us these awesome roms, kernels, and not forgetting about the theme developers to make or phones run fast, operate smoothly, and look great. Without them might as well buy a fruit product, just kidding I would get a flip phone before I would do that. ....
