No a100 roms will have working 3g on an a101. A user mentioned supporting it and building new stuff but I haven't heard anything lately.

Good CM10

Does anyone know of a CM10 that will run with everything working without any problems? Or any jellybean roms?

If this was the case I'm sure everyone here would be running JB :cyclops:
Unfortunately each JB ROM will have its quirks. But don't worry, Verizon plans to release an ICS OTA for our device in -5 months. So once that drops we'll be good to go!
CM10 is JellyBean. No JB roms have everything working 100%.

+1 ... been running this rom for weeks now. Minus the ffc, I can't really find anything wrong with it. Very stable considering we don't have source.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with GPS on any of the roms I've used. That said, I'm currently using Whompasaurus ROM And it's working just fine

Never seen anything on gps not working on any roms. Have you tried touchwiz based roms and seen if gps works? Maybe it's the phone hardware?

Google Play Edition ROM Possible?

Wanting to pick up this phone today since it is unlockable, but I'm curious as to whether anyone knows if a GPE ROM could be loaded onto this bad boy. Wanting to go as much nexus experience as I can on Verizon. Thanks.

I'm sure it will be before we know it. Bootloader is unlocked and I'm pretty sure they have root almost working. And it's day one... lol.,

It wouldn't work because the radios are completely different on this Verizon ONE vs the GSM/LTE version. I am, however, super confident in some of the devs that have surfaced here already will be getting us CM10.1.2 or CM10.2 soon.

unlockable via htcdev.com - but it's already been tweeted that there's an update pending to close that up
I am extremely interested in a GPE Rom for this, Please let me know if there is one in the works!
They were able to port it over with Sprint. It should be doable with Verizon as well.
First GE ROM is being offered to brave testers. Nothing confirmed stable yet. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2416875

newtoroot is on-board with this device, so you can expect the GPE rom to be super stable and any bugs will get ironed out quick

Unfortunately it sounds like HTC has closed down the unlock, though, and he doesn't have his device yet.
Edit: I realize he can still work on it, but I'm sure it would be 1000x easier with the device in hand.

[Q] Stable ROM Just for tethering

Hi guys,
I've been reading the forums and I understand asking for a "stable rom" doesn't really make sense. But since this is my first AT&T Galaxy S3 meaning I haven't done anything with this model, and providing the detail that I only need the tethering capability and would love to have the good battery life as the stock rom, hopefully someone can help point out a good stable rom I should use and stick with.
Thanks
Try the i747z ROM.

Thanks. I was also reading about AOKP by Task650 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766684). You think i747z would be better?
i747z is very similar to stock.

per your suggestion, I flashed this rom and love it. However, after a few days using it, I notice data connection keeps dropping. In fact, I got no connection most of the times. I'm thinking of going back to stock and see if it does the same thing. Not sure if anyone has the same problem. I'm using this AT&T S3 for T-mobile.
Edit: After a factory reset & wipe.. it's all good.
XDA is not a support site, users are expected to do their own research into what is best or most stable for them.

Custom rom development?

Are there any developers that have a rom in the works yet?

I am sure there are, give it time, It took a while before they came out on the s5.
You could probably flash the roms that are out for the s6 edge and the s6 kernel. It works for other variants.
The Sprint S5 wasn't poppin with ROMs until late June or so with the MOAR ROM kicking it off.... hoping to see similar with the S6 in about a month :fingers-crossed:

I've thought about trying this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-axism-unity-tweaks-livewire-dual-fs-t3112799 but haven't gotten around to it yet.
I was going to attempt that also, but I read that someone tried it on Sprint and it turned into no service/data. It booted, but not usable. I saw that there is development in the Sprint Edge forum. I wonder how different the phones are. Maybe the dev there knows a little more about getting something rolling on our phone. Coming from the HTC One, I'm itching to flash something haha

You can flash the rom for the edge on the non edge with no problems. You'll just have to flash the non edge kernel afterwards.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try this out.
Edit: it works great, thanks for the heads up. Only issue is the fingerprint scanner not working. Seems to be kernel based issue. We only have one available kernel for our device, correct?

There's ktoonz kernel. Not sure if that will fix it or not though. We have the hybridmax kernel on the s6e and that fixed our fingerprint issues.
Ktoonz did not unfortunately. Do you know what they had to change in the kernel to fix the issue

Did you try flashing the stock kernel? I am not sure what the author of the hybridmax kernel changed but you might jump over to that thread in the s6e forums and ask.

This kernel supports the Sprint S6. You can test that one and see if the fingerprint scanner works.

I tried that kernel and it hung on boot. I read through some comments and it's loss like they pulled Sprint support (of course). I'll do some searching later and see if I can't pull the stock kernel from somewhere. Thanks Carr

I can't remember the name of it, it was the only custom ROM I saw in the Edge forum though. Everything worked perfect except some of the tweaks didn't do anything and the fingerprint scanner didn't work.
Is the finger print scanner only good for unlocking the phone?
