First off sorry if im reposting or breaking some other xda rule I read and searched for hours. I have an ATT note 2 running skynote 8.2 and my qi wireless charger will not work. Not a hack, I got a qi pad and replacement back. Ive tried carbon, xylon, cm10 roms also. Any ideas why this wont work?

I tried the latest of the lot of inc 2 roms, and phone wont charge on my Qi pad. Went back to stock rom, and Qi charging / wireless charging works fine.( pronounced "Chee".. yes its a dumb name but I didnt make it up...)
fyi... I got the Qi charger back plate off amazon for a dollar and a dual energizer charging pad NEW off ebay for 5 bucks. its kinda nifty... no broken usb ports.
ANYWAY... would love to have a CM rom of sorts...7, 7.1, 7.2 or 9 or whatever, which will allow my Qi charger to work..
Any suggestions?
I am back on stock rom now. Yes...Its that much of a big deal to me.
I searched the forums ahead of time, and found nothing RELATED to my issue... but if someoone knows where I can find help... love to get help here...
I have found ROMs made by nitsij (except MIUI) work with the wireless charger. Any CM or AOSP dont work, Bummer I know. Glad to see someone else enjoys the wireless charging tho.
Great news! Thanks very much. I will give em a try!

why dont u change to another rom? cm9 is great for my vivow
I've heard that with Roms of ports that the settings aren't there for the wireless charging. I wonder if the settings could be changed. But probably not cause it has to be written, so I understand if it can't be accomplished. But if source is available does that mean that the settings are in the rom now?

I just got a Menotek Mhl adapter and the phone recognizes the power from it but nothing happens on the TV or the phone when connected. There is no option to switch to hdmi and it doesn't happen automatically. Is our phone supported? Thanks for any help.

I've used it and it works fine. I had to reconnect the cable to get it to work but it works perfect.
It's not the adapter because my roommate's evo lte works just fine with it. I am rooted and unlocked running rooted zv9 ROM. Normally I'm good at troubleshooting. Can't figure this one out.

Man I've tried so many things already. I've had multiple friends use it now but I'm the only one with an LGOG. I thought you needed an extra adapter for the s3 but that worked as well. My phone accepts that its hooked to a charger but nothing else. I really want to play n64 and snes on my tv Lol!

Well figured it out. The S3 didn't actually work. I got the 5 to 11 pin adapter and all is well. HD phone on the TV is pretty sweet!
Edit: Works for my buddy's S3. 11 pin does NOT fit LGOG. Still does not work with my phone at all.

so the OG uses 11 pin MHL like samsung? I thought only S2/Note2 is using 11 pin.
I bought one off a guy on ebay named fourpairteledata for $8 with free shipping. There is no name on the unit and it feels cheaply built and only came in a plastic bag but it works perfectly and has a microusb port for the ac adapter.

So a few days ago my 2 month old s3 stopped charging, but only with Samsung chargers. I have tried 3 different ones so far. It seems to charge just fine with any other charger, htc, Motorola, ect. I used an air gun and cleaned out the charging port, but to no avail. I am stock except rooted. Haven't really installed anything recently. My question, do I bother sending it in for repair, or should I live with it? I don't want to have to unroot and backup everything to send it in if its only going to do it again in a few months. Anyone else have this problem?

Did you try a different Samsung charger with the same cord? Or even a different Samsung charger with a different cord?
I have tried 3 different chargers and cords. 2 at home, and one at work. The whole issue is extremely odd to me.

Might be the USB port.... in which case you should ask for a replacement phone.
Don't bother with all the drama. It's an easy fix. Go on ebay, find an s3 charging port and replace it yourself. You just remove the battery, unscrew the back panel, and then port just snaps on and off. Take it off and snap the new one in place.
And I'd make a nandroid and then flash a custom rom.. See if it's software related.. If not, that means it's hardware.. But if you really want, talk to sprint, they have to give you a new one if manufacturer defect like that.

Sounds pretty easy to fix. Not sure if I want to void the warranty yet though.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
You wouldn't be voiding the warranty I don't think. Not to mention there's no way for them to know. Where the port is located, doesn't have any warranty seals or anything. I don't think any of the phone does besides maybe along the antenna. Check out some YouTube videos and you'll see how simple it is. No saudering drama. Just simple clip on and off kinda like a button

That is awesome and extremely informative. That's what I'm going to do. Thanks.

I have a similar problem: I have the same model phone, and I found that I can only charge using a data cord, not a generic charging cord. I can't imagine the reason, but I have found that unless a charger utilizes a true data cord, charging won't happen.
Hey xda team. I know this title seems familiar but I havent found my problem in other threads so here we go.
My n7105 is on stock 4.1.2 and I flashed the latest perseus kernel. I changed current charging rate to 1900 and tested tha stats with galaxy charging current. Everything was fine. I always use same cable and same outlet and status is always AC. But all the sudden the phone just charges with 400 and of course it takes way longer. Status still is AC and not USB. I made a nandroid backup before I flashed the perseus kernel and went back to my original kernel, but the problem is still there. So Im little confused if there is something wrong with hardware or so.
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried a different lead

How many hours is the normal charging time?

Just passing along my experience on my cruise this week. I was running tweaked with faux kernal and everything was great. Charging at the hotel/airport was fine. I plug my phone in the first night on the ship and nothing is happening. I tried my wife's charger same result. Every plug in the room same result. My wife's s3 charged on both chargers fine. I eventually restored a nandroid of omni rom with Agni kernal. Still no charging. In the Agni settings there is a setting to dismiss unstable power. As soon as I checked that I had no problem charging my n2. I hope this helps someone else if they have a similar experience.

I keep my checked at all times, but this is good to know....

That is there because the battery needs to charge in a specific way or there are dangers involved. I doubt samsung's battery would blow but if you're using a third party then I would advise against this.
