if by breathing effect you mean fading in and out then yes, perseus kernel has just been updated not too long ago to allow for fading led you can find the thread in original development it also has allot of other features that are fun to play around with so i recomend giving it a go and im sure you wont be dissapointed
If you mean the fading effect, open STweaks, go to Misc tab, and change the Notification LED behavior to fading.

Check out "Blink" in the playstore. You can customize your LED to any color you like for various notification types.
I HAVE tested this to work. While testing colors, turn the screen off during the test to see the color you chose. ENJOY!

May I ask what color does the ion supports? I have been using "Light Flow" but the LED only shows purple no matter what color I choose.
Yes, so far the colors that I've used... red, blue, green, purple, blue green (teal), and orange. My yellows end up orange and my pinks end up red with this program.
Give it a shot...you wont be disappointed.

Just gave it a try it works pretty well. Such a shame it doesn't support email and whatsapp notifications...
Weird, doesn't work for me. I'm on ICS. Could that be why?

I just wish I could keep my LED bright.
I always go change the file from 1000 to 20,000 to make it bright but then have to do it again every freaking time i reboot so annoying

The initd script sets the value on boot. Works great.
My Note II's screen has a yellow tint. Whites are not pure white, but kind of yellowish-orange. :crying:
The thing is though if I tilt my device either way, I can see pure white.
The screen colors are way better on my old Galaxy S2 w/ SAmoled+, and I can further tweak the colors by using a custom kernel with screen tuning support.
Is there anything similar for the Note II ?
Not yet, but you Could try "Filter your screen" App from play store.

Thanks, but none of these apps are good because they simply add a filter on top and also affect blacks.
Guess I'll just wait for custom kernel color tuning support

Is there still no kernel and/or app that can change color profile of the Note II?
The kernel from this thread can do it, here's a link to my post explaining how:

Hey everyone,
I'm running Omega 6.1 on my Note 2 (n7100) and I love it. The only thing that bugs me a bit and can't seem to figure a way around it is the shortcuts in the notification bar. Is there a way to remove some of them that I never use (like the timeout or sync button) or move other buttons to the far left for immediate use (like the sound/vibrate function).
Anyone have any ideas?

If you are using Omega rom you should have an app called AdvanceS.
Thanks for your help
I am using the stock rom, and I cannot adjust this panel as I want.
On my previous phone (nexus s) I used widgetoid app and it was great.
Here instead of remove this panel which seems impossible, I would like to adjust it.
Is it possible without installing another room?
Other then what you can do in setting there not much you can do. You can try to find the 25 toggle mod and flash it to your phone. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how well rit works on a stock room or how easy it is to add to a stock rom as I have had problems in the past with a mod not working for my phone
Sent from my SGH-I317M using xda app-developers app
I've finally installed the omega ROM, looks great, & I've found the "advanceS" apps, much more flexible than the Rom Stock.
But there is a way to add other toggles? (I like to see the RAM used, & the free space...)
Thanks
Nicolas
I have no idea how this happened, but I noticed that my wife's Menu and Back button LED color is red, and mine is white. Is there a setting that controls the colors of these buttons?
Confused

I've never seen any ROM support that, but that would be an awesome feature!
Are you guys running different ROMs? ...and also, what ROMs are you running?
We need a bit more info to see what's going on =p
Edit: What colors are each of your phones? The ATT red gs3 comes with red capacitive buttons as one of the features.

The greatest weakness to an otherwise nice piece of hardware in my opinion is the OG Pro's blue-tinted display. The display is crisp and everything but there is such an obvious blue tinge when I compare to other phones I have. Does anyone know if there's an app to adjust screen color? There's one app that can allow you to add RGB color to the screen but not adjust. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great. Thanks.
I think you can play with the display settings with trickster mod

Thanks for the suggestion - I've tried it and it doesn't stick or actually make a difference on the screen. I've tried with stock kernel and the modified kernel that's available in the development section.
