Do you think there would be any way to take what face book did with chat heads and use it with other messengers as well such as G Talk, Voice and Kik?

Okay I'm going to be honest my fellow Gs2 family. I have been using the iphone for a couple of weeks now just because I wanted to try something new. Well I still love the galaxy s 2... but I see the only reason why I use the iphone is because it has iMessage... aka group messaging and IM with other iphones. so my question is does anyone know an app or amy app devs that could have us group chat with other phones?

Is there a solution that doesn't require the person(s) on the other end to download an app?

So when you send a group text and people reply, everyone's reply is in the same thread and not individual messages? Because I've been using Go SMS Pro, too, and group messaging doesn't work like that for me.
Okay all gamer will it be with other people without gosmspro also or only people wwith gosmspro

Why not try CHATON by Sammy?
Google plus? Chat-on ,Whats app messenger I believe. I just use google plus with all my iphone friends.
Android does not support group messaging without the assistance of a third party application, so people on the other end will also need to download the app

do other people need chaton cause it says they won't... idk

Is there a way to respond to all from a multi person text from an iPhone? Whenever I get a text conversion from my friends that are on iPhones, I can only respond to the person who sent the text and no one else sees my response.

People say that Handcent or Go SMS have this feature.
How does that work for sms? I have to be able to reply to the same text.

I think there is a setting called "thread conversation"... I haven't tried it, so, maybe you should... Since it's the only lead you've got.
Thank you I'll try that. I can't believe more people haven't asked about this, android stock sms sucks

I can't find thread conversation, do you have a link?

Its been brought up a few times in the past, ut I'm not sure if it was ever resolved. I don't use any 3rd party apps for sms or id try to be more helpful.
But try using the search this forum feature for both General and Q&A sections in all of the S3 sections (AT&T, Sprint, i9300...)
That's probably your best bet if no one else answers here.

I went the simplest route and installed handcent, and disable original sms (not required but last time I removed it was lazy this time around)has full emoji support with any key board you choose

Chompsms also works if you prefer a better looking SMS compared to handcent.

You can use 3 third party apps, go sms , handcent, and others that all support emoji
You can also try a custom ROM. I don't know how many of them have it, but it is built in to the native messaging app on Task's AOKP.

The messaging app automatically resizes pictures. Try adding you pictures from the messaging app. Sorry if i misunderstood what your saying. I have never had to manually resize a message though..

iPhone thing I think. Basically is a chat session for multiple people using text.
