S3 battery life with overflow 1013 pics included - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

really don't know why I have such drain. I've used the phone for 20min max and battery life is at 50% it's draining basically 7% an hour while I'm doing nothing. Amy fix?

Your phone is not going to sleep at all, just look at the first picture, it says it's being awake for the whole 10 hours. Probably an app keeping it up.

I had this before, but a reboot seems to fixed the problem for me and never came back.

Under settings > sounds > uncheck dial pad tones, touch sounds , screen lock sound.
Reboot. Keep an eye out for the 1013 wake lock. See if you still have the problem.

Cool, glad it helped you. I'm no expert in the underlying Android OS. However I had the same issues on an HTC device. I scowered the internet looking for a solution.
1013 seems to be some part of the Android media stack for system sounds. And for some off reason, it tends to go rogue and consume battery. *shrugs* glad you aren't chewing through battery anymore.

Anyone using light flow led

I started using light flow led for my Galaxy nexus. I got my nexus on launch date for sprint and pretty sure battery is fine after so many days anyways I feel like my phone is dying too quick I'm 50% down in 1 hour screen on and about 4 hours unplugged my question is, have you use light flow led and has it cause any extra battery use?

I had bad drain from it whenever i had two notifications. I deleted, installed fresh and not with tb, left the settings alone and the problem had not returned so far.

Battery life and Rasbean/Trinty

How many of you guys use tethering with your Nexus?
As I sit here in the waiting room, waiting for my girlfriend, I decided to tether to my n7. After 1:40min my battery is down to 35%
Is this normal or is there something wrong?
What kind of battery life do you guys generally get when using rasbean and the trinity kernel?
Thanks guys for the feedback

With this combo I get between 4 to 5 hours screen time.

This is normal usage with stock settings and stock battery. But I do not tether.

wow, I wish I could get that kind of battery life
I have to carry 5 batteries just to last the day...
But I remember getting 17 hours, but mostly standby with maybe 1:30 of screen time
are you using stock battery and have you tried the no-name brand?

Post battery life here!

Here are the rules:
Post your rom, if you're over clocked or stock, what kernel, and the battery you're using.
A screen shot of battery life, screenshot of screen time, and whatever else you feel is worthy of showing.
Also this thread can be used in conjunction to talk about battery life tweaks, extended batteries, and anything else battery related!
Go!

I'll start.
Jedi X6, stock kernel, stock clocks, stock battery.

LTE on almost always, zero wifi usage.
Screen brightness is set pretty low. (my guess is about 15%)
Amazing for a 3100mah battery.
I see no need for an extended battery
EDIT: sorry I must be blind I didn't see the battery stats thread.
Anyhow that's my submission to that thread lol

I'm rooted with jellybam v7.0.0 with bms kernel. I'd call my usage about medium. On my e4gt I could get 20+ hours of battery stock and unrooted. Why is my battery life so poor on the s3? It's actually frustrating. I have it set to underclock at 192-192 when screen is off and it's undervolted -25mA at every clock speed. My brightness is always on like 15% no matter what. I only have my data turned on when I'm using it, that's it. I don't even have any game apps installed. My screen timeout is 30 seconds. Anyone have any ideas here??

Wake locks maybe? Get a battery monitoring app like Better Battery Stats (you can get it for free here on xda)

Anthrax on clean bean 2.3 with cross breeder. Some Wi-Fi, data always on. Auto brightness.
Updating to 2.7 when it drops since I already have multi window.
Also use Bluetooth to stream audio, and gps&sync on.
Oh. And I'm completely debloated. Makes a sizeable difference.
Used a safe to remove list found some where here.

Deep sleep issues

Sometimes I have noticed my phone does not deep sleep and runs continously at 200Mhz.. This happens randomly and I can't figure out what triggers it. I have checked BBM and there is no partial wakelock reported as well. So this is no app issue. When I go to my battery stats, the Android OS is the one keeping my phone awake for multiple hours on end. I have tried changing roms and kernels and I get the same problem once in a while. Is this a bug with the new 4.3 I update? It's important to note that this will happen randomly.. Some days it's fine other days it will start acting up... The only fix is to reboot.
Any ideas?
