When I'm viewing videos in the standard video viewer and the Power saver is ON the brightness is too low. This started happening recently, I think after JB update.
Do you guys have the same problem? Is there a solution besides using another viewer of course?
Turn Auto-brightness off and set it at a point where comfortable for you?
I would suggest trying either MX Player or Mobo Player from the Play store both are free, and both have hardware / software support. You can control the brightness level in both apps, by swiping up and down on the left side of the screen. Hope this helps!

When i attempt to watch any video such as the preloaded videos, the screen automatically darkens regardless if the set brightness. This occurs only on the official Videos app. Is there any way to fix this? The preloaded videos only work in this app.
Hello everyone, I am having Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 64 GB version and having basically 3 major problems..
1. Phone is getting very hot almost like iron during charging on top right beside camera.
2. While playing video, as long as I keep touching the screen and optiom menu remains on screen video player shows natural colors but as soon as the option menu goes the video shows a bluish tint while playing video. What is it?
3. While playing audio thru earphones, audio is interrupting everytime I am using any function of phone. Its like old CD players when the voice used to face hiccups. Its so annoying.
Kindly share your experience in this regard. DO I need to return the product or its normal software bug?

Hi all,
When I watch Netflix or prime everything is fine. But when I stream videos, the brightness and contrast ate too low.
Is there a way to adjust this? Adjusting the TV makes no sense because it would mess up everything else.
Any ideas?
Can someone tell me in which file the display brightness (in general) is configured for this Head Unit?
I only need the path (filename)
I did many tests now with the app "Display Tester" from the playstore and compared it with my cellphone.
The difference is extreme.
First i could not believe that it's normal. So i bought the same Head Unit again. Same problem with the brightness.
The rear camera is almost not usable at the day because it's too dark.
If i want to watch videos they are usually too dark.
The problem is the brightness and contrast configuration of the radio
It's configured very bad!
In this test both displays (radio and my cellphone) are on maximum brightness 100% on this pictures
All pictures are from the app "Display Tester" from playstore
please see my pictures i attached
the interesting thing is:
I also tried it with some videos with the "reHuePlayer" from the playstore
This player overwrites the system configuration if i put the brightness to maximum
Then it's perfect!
So i need only the path and the name of the file where the maximum brightness (or contrast) is configured.
I would be appreciative for some help
I'm really wondering that most of the people here are satisfied with this bad display configuration.
To explain that it's only a software problem here two more pictures
One time i used a standard video player
The second time i used the "reHuePlayer" which overwrites the brightens configuration configured in the device
It's the only player i found on the market which can do that.
The problem is this player is not working so well because most of the videos are bucking and are not shown fluently
I played a documentation movie...
I did not connect my ILL cable and both times the display was on brightness 100%
So it's only a software problem which could be fixed very easy in a configuration file
(the biggest problem is driving with the rear camera... i see nearly nothing)
See my pictures attached
IIRC, you can change some of the brightness settings by echoing different values to one of the /sys nodes. I don't recall what it is, but if you do a find /sys -iname "*bright*" from terminal, it should reveal some items.
I have the same problem Color saturation Black the screen Car KLYDE Rk3188
I happening the same buy a Car DVD Player _Yaris and not see anything on the day but when I put reverse camera, please someone who can help solve this.
Hi there,
Is there any way to prevent htc m9 from going to sleep when the screen is off?
I use the phone's stock Music App to play music from a DLNA Server.
It plays for about 2 minutes then stops.
So I guess it's gone to sleep or something.
The screen is off as it's night time.
It's running android 7.0.
Are there better DLNA Players maybe that will stay playing while the screen is off maybe ?
Is there a custom rom that doesn't do this maybe ?
I got the phone specifically for its audio capabilities so this is a showstopper for me.
Tried setting HTC Service - DLNA, Music, Music Widget, HTC Sense Input to 'Not optimized' in 'Battery optimization'. Didn't make **** difference.
thanks for any ideas,
FYI for anyone interested, turns out phone wasn't the problem.
Tried a different dlna source (miniDLNA) and the app MediaHouse . Works as expected - no more pauses, timeouts, sleeps, cut off or doze when the screen turns off or not charging battery.
Also, before that amongst other things I tried rooting it and playing around with the governor and minimum speed. No effect at all.
