Hi,
My desire Z battery just got dead and is leaving charge in a couple of hours. So I need to buy a new Desire Z battery. But since the phone is not officially released in India, I'm not sure if I can get a battery from HTC.
If anyone knows from where I can get a new battery for my device, kindly help me out here.
I would recommend eBay. But you'll have to find a seller that ships to India

Seeing a few on eBay now but it's unclear what the capacity is. I'm wary of them anyway as I've had Chinese sellers send me the wrong battery for recent phones (check the listing, the battery described is often different from the one in the title!). Also I've had fake capacity batteries sent out - 800mah or less packed out to full capacity size with foam-rubber!
I'm hoping someone will make an extended capacity battery as it wouldn't need to stick out the back much as the i9100 is recessed anyway. There is an external battery pack available but it's just an additional battery that clips round the phone, not a replacement. Fugly too!
Ditto. Would love to score some batteries by next week since I'm going on a trip and won't always have access to an outlet. Especially since the battery drain is horrible.
Guess we're out of luck in the States since it'll take a while if shipped from UK
Looking at eBay I see a backup battery like this:
1900mAh Back-Up Battery For Samsung Galaxy S2 II i9100
Granted it is not an actual spare battery...for approx USD$10 it may be worth it to get it for some emergency juice for the phone.
Play have them on pre order. Apatantly they are in stock tomorrow

U can use one of these chinese batteries. Currently i'm using one 3000 mah for about 10 euros. After 4-5 months it started to keep less charge (about 2 days heavy use, 4 days in the begining for comparison). But it is ok for me - 10 euros for half a year
Yoobao or momax also not bad, require no backdoor.. capacity 1500..normal is 1300mah

I bought my 2 China battery and one wall charger at 8.99 USD..it only last like 8 month,1 die on 30minute display on (my display is like 1/10 of the brightness),the other in an hour.. =\
Edit:so I think it's better to go for quality stuff rather than quantity..

Anker 1600 mAh battery. Got it off Amazon a couple of days ago after reading through that thread in the accessories section. Lasts longer through the day than the original.
Hi guys, I have a weird problem, I am using insertion by siulmagic, latest version, before that I installed blackout ROM, since installing that I put my phone to charge at around 40-50% and keep it overnight, when I wake up in morning charging light is still red, I charge it by turning phone off, I don't think it's battery problem, because when I charge it while phone is on, it charges normally, I don't want to keep phone on all night, please advise, I wiped and re-installed ROM, I calibrated battery, but it didn't help
There's no substitute for a good battery. The cheap Chinese batteries won't last as long and they're probably lying about the capacity.

I recommend the HTC OEM EVO 4G Design battery, It fits perfect in our devices w/o any modifying or trimming. It's a whopping 1520mah compared to the 1300mah that comes with stock devices !

On heavy usage I charge once in the morning once at night.
My battery life is getting real poor.
I charge it every night and top it up at east twice every day at work.
I do use it a lot, and sync everything and have Google now running. I like all the features though.
I am rooted running 4.2.2 jelly beer ROM. I don't think its the ROM as it seems about the same as the other 4.2.2 ROMs I've had.
This mornings drive to work I streamed 20 mins of music from Google play via 3g and I was down to 68% when I got to work?! This seems a bit excessive to me!
Is there any app where I can test the battery or something?
Battery is a year old. Last battery used to turn the phone off when using camera flash. This one hasn't had this problem though.
Any help appreciated

Seems like when I charge it too, it jumps from 70% or so straight to 100%? Strange...

Your statement here is proof that your battery is at the end of its life. Any battery has a finite life, and I have found that if you buy a cheap li-ion battery it won't last long time.
I bought 2 cheap li-ion batteries for my HTC legend and they only lasted 6 months each before experiencing exactly the same issue you have.
So I can only assume your "new battery" was a cheap too.
Usually the heavier the battery the better it will be.

Second battery was also an official HTC battery. I did get it from eBay though so its possible it could be fake? It looked the same and serial nos all matched etc...
I'm thinking about changing phones pretty soon but I'll need a spare phone so maybe I'll eBay another one.
In fairness I have hammered this phone. The amount of use it gets is immense!

I'd go through Amazon if I were you, they seem to be the most legit. Or buy a reputable extended battery there's also a thread somewhere here with a mod that utilises the battery from the Sensation if you're comforable dabbling with some hardware hacks

Got one from eBay for 5.60. Said original, looks legit and world of difference.
Hopefully be OK!
I'm planning a note 2 in a few weeks but I need this fully functional for when I go out for a few beers. Lol.

I scrolled through the subjects but couldnt really find an answer.
My battery is getting weaker after 14 months of intensive use and I want to replace it.
What is the best choice, a New 1800mah, a 2100mah from the HOX+ or another one from Ebay. Who tried the HOX+ battery already?
Thanks in advance

take the OEM HOX+ battery. I did too and I don't regret it :good:

You got a link where people can order it?
Edit:
Model number = BM35100
Part. number = HTC 35H00197-00M
I got it from ebay. There's a seller from GB who has OEM batteries. Just search the exact name of the HOX+ battery in ebay and you'll find it

i did too replace with hox+ batt from ebay for $17 . it didn't get hot when playing games. like CCU. only the cpu not the batt.
works like charm
Hox+ battery works great. My only regret is that I acidentally broke the connector to the volume buttons....
If you follow the tutorial given by DiluTe you should be fine. Just don't forget to remove the warranty sticker protected screw
pin of htc one x very bad
It pretty much runs the same voltage and can deliver more amps. So that's why it doesn't get hot fx. I bought one from eBay six months ago but my original battery still works. I did a proper battery calibration that made it give the right state data. Perhaps try that first.

Hey guys,
Where is the best place to get a brand new battery for my Sony Xperia ZL. I want genuineuSonyny battery, not a cheapo battery from Hong Kong....ie, eBay. My phone is having random shut offs and it's getting frustrating. I downloaded an app that checked the battery and I can see the battery is the issue. I'm going to call Sony to see if my phone is still undewarrantyty or not. Any info would be great. Thanks
Just visit service center they can help you

Heres something REALLY weird I just discovered...
I am having the same problem as you with my ZL. I also have an Xperia T that will not turn on because the battery needs to also be replaced.
I decided to do some messing around with the two devices since the battery connections are the same.
What I did was plug my ZL battery into the T, and it worked perfectly. The phone booted up with no issue. It will even turn off and back on with no issue.
But when I plug it back into my ZL, it will not boot all the way up unless its plugged in.
Now im wondering if the issue really is the battery, or something else....
Im still going to order a replacement and see.
Ive ordered a replacement one for my T, for like 9$ on ebay.
The cheapest Ive found for the ZL, is about 23$. But I can buy one from within my country to avoid the long shipping delay for about 50$...
You would trust a battery from Ebay? Would the service center sell me a battery? It does seem like a lot of ZL owners will be having this problem soon since so many bought it when it came out. I've own my ZL for 10 months.
I will get this battery and I hope it works. I will see if it works on my other ZL that I will be getting from a person who is having random shutoffs. My other ZL is going to the service center in Texas.
