Okay, I have a LG E970.
Background: Right now my phone is jacked up. I can access recovery and bootloader or whatever its called. IDK I just use it to access recovery. but anyway that is all I can do. When I boot my phone, it has Google written across the phone. Which is weird? and then has the beeping noise that it does when booting then nothing but black screen. So I figured that I'd have to flash a new rom (that's how I fixed my old phone when I messed it up)
I've been looking for about an hour and I can't find any roms specifically for my phone. I just wanna get the thing to working again.
So, can someone point me in the direction of a working rom for LG E970? Which is the USA AT&T version, Thank you.
this is not ATT section

[q] sph-l700 wrong variant & no brick? Vzw toro variant on my sprint toroplus nexus
So this is kind of weird for me. I have experience in the rooting/custom android world. But i recently acquired a SPH-L700 Galaxy Nexus from someone who said it needed to be unlocked. So i took it (free) and as i turned on it goes thru the google bootscreen, to the colored splash screen. then restarts in an endless cycle. if you wipe data or put new rom on it, it will even go thru the "UPDATING Optimizing Apps 21 of 89 please wait..." and it will finish, "FINISHING BOOT" "STARTING APPS" then zaps out n starts over, but doesnt update apps unless u wipe again. Farthest it got was to the Start button when you set up phone. then it zapped out again. I said its not bricked in the sense that the boot is fine, recovery is fine, odin mode fine, fastboot fine, but after the boot its like the master firmware is corrupted the way the screen cuts out. i know the recoverys are fine because i can flash new ones, odin to stock, fastboot to stock, Flashed whole new Roms, stock and custom. (Only get to see Boot Animation) i've had several bricks before but no matter what version/firmware i put i get same outcome. Been at it for 2 days. Please all suggestions will be appreciated.. HERES THE KICKER.... So its a Sprint SPH L700 Galaxy Nexus, which i read all about. Has the ToroPLUS variant, started on 4.0, Build Number IMM76K, build date APRIL 2012 and so on. And is NOT compatible with the Verizon Variant. So yea u guessed it this had Toro next to variant in FASTBOOT, and all the other stuff pointed towards verizon as well, (wiped now). ALSO.... behind the battery is the SPH L700 with the esn n stuff on it. and right below it is another white sticker, smaller, but newer, that says " VTO 05/17/13 " which from what ive read is refurbished... cuz it is a realllllllllly nice phone, mint for what it should look like. Which is why i hope someone can help, i want it! And i've tried back to stock, thru Odin all versions, Nexus Toolbox all versions, CWM Recovery all versions, and even Manual image files thru toolbox. Ive tried everything, and most is completing successfully, just same outcome. Also i've changed everything and the only thing i've not got to change on the fastboot details screen is the " Variant -- Toro 32 GB". which to me seems like should be "ToroPlus 32 GB" ??? but couldnt get it swithced when i installed new firmwares. HELP !!
[Q] LG E980 bricked during interr. OTA on rooted stock phone. AT&T want to go stock
Hello All!
Call me completely retarded if it's warranted, i'm usually better with these things. here is the current situation:
(1) LG E-980 Optimus G Pro - Stock AT&T ROM. Never an OTA updade, purchased 01/2014 in MD, USA.
TWRP v2.6.3.0 installed. Rooted. SuperSU and busybox, current. TWRP "restore" does not restore from the full backup i had performed. Stuck in a boootloop between "LG Logo, and then quickly in the top right corner "Secure Boot Error Cause: Device UnLock, So Boot Success!!!" and then it's off to TWRP in recovery. Any advice there would be foremost appreciated, as that'd allow me to properly restore to pre-brick state, and install CWM, if it's more reliable, etc.
I can get into Download mode, and have followed THIS post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660
but I had problems getting my laptop to assign the cell a "COM Port"
and besides Download Mode, there's ADB Sideload in TWRP thats usable, no? should I use this and how is this possible?
I've a few backups, TWRP and CWG, and also a stock .tot and .dll from the above mentioned thread. Does anybody know how to get past the "secure Boot Error" bootloop and get ANY ROM installed? ANY help would be much appreciated!
I've been at it at least ten hours, and realized I probably should have asked here fist banging my head against the wall, this is a wonderful phone, and i'd hate to see it dead, i mean it's literally ALL there still. TWRP recovery has a file manager.
On my desktop (and on the device) the TWRP back-up files are there, just shy of four GB, and i've also grabbed the stock .tot file, and i would LOVE someone to give me a hand straightening this particular mess out, and i'll offer another a quid pro quo in a field i'm vastly more well-versed in.
Thank you for reading the FNG's post. Greetings!
Ryan
you got in download mode by pressing volume keys and pluging in usb?
coz it dosent work for me
Hey guys, basically, i'm new-ish to flashing, but i was able to do it following all instructions. Yesterday i installed an s5 theme from this site that caused my phone to have problems such as the wifi not working. I was reading that flashing a custom kernel might help, it didn't.
So i woke up, entered my TWRP custom recovery and stupidly factory wiped everything, now my phone wont get past the 'Samsung galaxy s III' screen, it just stays there. I have no idea what to do, i'm dumb enough not to make a recovery file before i started all this so i've ****ed up there.
If anyone can help me get my phone back i'll be extremely happy, i just want it working again! I have work in a few hours and really hope to fix it before then! Any help is appreciated.
well i posted this for someone else who wiped their phone, maybe it would help you. OR i got it all wrong. lol (i know, not so funny).
can you take your ext.sd card , put in different phone, download a ROM and whatever else you need. then place ext.sd card back in your phone and flash away? IDK, might work.
good luck.
err on the side of kindness
What mrrocketdog said, and you can flash a ROM with S5 theme already built in.. If you just want it back to stock, flash newest firmware for your device with Odin
Hi guys,
I'm worried I really effed up as I've never been stuck in a bootloop before on any of my devices.
I was editing the build.prop to add dual window functionality to all of my apps as per this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4X2FF3BwjA&index=35&list=WL
And now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. I keep getting a message saying that Android is updating app X out of 38 and it goes back to the LG splash screen.
Sure enough there's a warning at beginning of that youtube video saying BE SURE THAT BUILD.PROP IS NOT TRUNCATED AND ITS PERMISSIONS ARE RIGHT BEFORE REBOOTING! - I'm assuming this is where I've gone wrong.
I'm using a Canadian version of the phone LG-H812 for Bell. Do I have to return the phone to stock to get out of this? How do I go about doing so?
Help!
I should also note that I don't have a custom recovery installed - I wasn't able to get twrp to work.
I've tried using the dd code to send the stock image to the phone but that hasn't worked since all of my setting/files have been kept in place.
I figure I've just lost root access at this point.
So, still stuck in a bootloop.
Have you tried looking in this thread to see if this helps.

Thanks!
That might have worked - but my phone is not being detected by adb...? It's says it's offline. Is that a bad sign?
Windows certainly detects it as it makes the usb notification sound.
EDIT - Crap, does this mean my phone is bricked?? I wouldn't think so since it goes into download mode and whatnot.
Did you try to use the LG Flash Tool to flash a "kdz" file?
You have to download the right "kdz" for your phone.
Okay, I don't know what the deal is but I've now screwed my second device lol
I have a T-Mobile H811 on 10H, my second to be exact, and after I follow instructions for low level root and flashing a recovery, everything works fine! For as long as I stay on that rooted stock image...
The moment I flash anything other than the rooted stock image my device looses sound, becomes extremely slow and unresponsive, with the SystemUI crashing constantly and restarting. Shows lock screen, doesn't respond to touch, and if it does it's only for a brief moment before it freezes and then shows "Optimizing Android", rinse, repeat.
This persists through returning to stock with a kdz. Once it begins, it doesn't stop, which is why I had to return my first device...... and it looks like I'll be returning this one as well :crying:
I am no stranger to the game, I was not on 10N, I made sure to use the right COM port (the diag one), I make sure to only flash things for the H811, so what in the world is happening to my device when I flash other roms? My first device I flashed BlissPop nightlies and thought that might have been the reason, this time I just flashed a modified stock image. I for the life of me cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong or how to undo the damage once it's been done.
I still have access to download mode and TWRP
I am desperate for help... I cannot seem to find anyone else who's had this issue. Missing those Nexus 5 days D:
Thanks in advanced
EDIT: I flashed back to stock and took the 10N update (it was like pulling teeth) and everything seems to be working again... but I'd really still like some insight as to what I did wrong lest I do it again.
And now I flashed Bliss and everything is working just fine... strange
