I have to hit the power button to turn the screen off and hit it again to get things to work at times I got to reset the phone to get going like some apps my just not load so resetting the phone is the only option and the app works fine any advise.

Are you on stock ? If so then just do as stated above. If you are rooted, we might need more info.
I installed several roms full wipe and still same thing some roms worst then others but over all same thing
Tried using different scheduler/governor?
Also, are you doing anything specific when it locks up? Any app being used?

Yes, I have this. I thought it was only when plugged in, but it happens unplugged as well, did it several times today when going back and forth to CWM. I don't recall this happening before root.
Me too

Have you tried to root? Not that it makes a difference here.
It seems like this happens the first shutdown after reboot. I'm going to test that theory when time permits.

This has NOT been an issue for me.

I'm not tried to root my phone, I'm ok with unrooted. I tried to shutdown phone few times without use any app - shutdown was ok. I tried use chrome app after system start and shutdown was ok. But 5 times shutdown after using only xda app restarting my phone. I think bug in xda app.

That didn't make any sense, lol, I think what I meant was, "It seems like this happens on the shutdown after doing anything with adb." But I have no idea, it seems completely random. Today it happened once, and I've rebooted at least 4 times flashing and doing backups etc..
I'm not too worried about it, as I never keep my phone off. The only time it gets me, is if I shutdown to get into cwm. I may set the phone down to do something, I'll get back thinking I can power on and tap Sony but the phones already booted, lol. Also, I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of flashing and wiping soon, so it will all be different anyway.
So I had this issue today. Went to reboot my phone after putting a add block on the device and it would just restart. Kept doing it till I did a hard reset and has been fine since. Kinda odd.

To start, my GS3 was rooted, had a custom recovery, but was still on stock Rom. I followed QBKing77 video today on manually installing the JB rom. I put stock recovery back on, then applied the update. It flashed just fine. I was still rooted after the flash (wasnt sure if I was supposed to be still rooted). Anyway, phone worked for a good 4 hours, checked everything out and everything worked just fine. Suddenly, the phone is frozen now. It is not responding to touch and is vibrating as if it is having a problem. Cant even unlock it. If I slide my finger on it, this green box highlights things on my homescreen. Everytime I slide my finger on it, it toggles through some of the items on my homescreen (sprint, then the clock/weather widget, then each of the short cuts on the lock screen) then starts over again. Each time it vibrates as well. Cant unlock the phone and I am just stuck...HELP PLEASE???
Never heard of that one before. Pull the battery and reboot?

I was going to try to unroot and odin back to stock ICS using the tar file... Thoughts? I figured regardless of what I am on, I can always go back to true stock by odin-ing back using the stock tar... right?
ya that works too
I figured it out now, for some reason, in settings, accessibility, "talk back" was on, this caused the entire phone to not respond act semi frozen... I somehow got into settings by trying all sorts of things (swiping, double tapping, pinch to zooming, etc), and was able to turn it off...now the phone is fine. I am not sure why talk back would completely change everything and freeze the entire phone up. But I would not select that feature and turn it on...the phone literally felt unusable. I was 5 min away from odin-ing back to stock tar before I found this issue...
I would say skip the bs and just Odin back to stock. If this doesn't fix it, it's beyond software.

Someone please help me. I have had two lg optimus g by aT&t . It randomly pauses when I wake it and sometimes doesn't turn on the screen out of sleep. Then something it reboots while in my pocket. I have got rid of all apps I can possible get rid of that I downloaded and rest catch memory and it still comes back. I even tried to turn off the fast dormancy that someone suggested and it still randomly does this. Is there anyway or anything I can do because I really love my phone.

Is your phone rooted or stock

I had a weird issue similar to this over the weekend. One minute my phone was fine then the next minute I tried to wake it and the screen wouldnt come on. I even held the power button down (to turn on or off) and nothign was happening. I was like "W....T....F......?!?!" I was pretty nervous as I LOVE this phone. I couldnt think of anything to do and I couldnt plug it into a PC or charger since I was at a bar with some mates. Long story short...after a few attemps to just keep pressing the power button down lol it finally started up from a reboot.
Very weird indeed....everything has been fine since and I am running stock.

To add, do you have the latest update?
Is your battery calibrated?
I installed CM10.1 yesterday on my T989. I updated it this morning with the newer version of CM10.1. So today I was at work, I was listening to some music and in the process of sending a text, my phone shuts off. I attempted to turn it on, it said "Samsung," and goes into a vibration loop, nothing loads. Then I tried to go into Odin and go into download mode, and it shows the download mode screen, then shuts off. I am running out of ideas. Hopefully you guys can help, Thank you!

Hi, I purchased a Note 2 gtn-7105 LTE version, Yesterday and my power button is not working as it should be. Some times it will work flawlessly wile others it will not work at all' Sometimes spamming the button will unlock/Lock the screen. Or with great pressure being pushed on to it.
I also checked the odin screen
Binary is okay
Samsung original is okay
But know warrenty is void 1
Could this be a bug on the power button with somebody flashing roms/rooting etc?
Also the power button acts up when the phone is switched off and I need to power it up.
Thank you !

If your problem is not related with hardware. It could be just that your phone is lagging and is not waking up immediately cause many people happen to have this problem. Also to test if its not your hardware problem try booting into recovery, CWM and philz recovery have an option for testing out the keys in the advanced section

There might be some button testing apps you can try, since the problem is not there for you always try repeated checking. And if he results are fine then the problem is with your phone being laggy. Try getting greenify(it has a mode to work without root) and greenify as much as possible to reduce the lag. Also uninstall unwanted stuff. As a last resort factory reset
Thanks a lot
