Multi Window support Rom with Wifi Calling - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Are their any Multi Window roms out there with wifi calling?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

Nope, everyone bases it off of another carriers rom, Sprint and Verizon... not sure why no one will just use a T-MO base as some only use TouchWiz for that reason...

Not yet, the only roms with multi-window require Jellybean v4.2.1 or higher stock firmware.
So far only Verizon and Sprint has the v4.2.1 or 4.2.2 stock firmware so the developers
have ported it to our phones but without wifi calling.
Since Verizon and Sprint do not offer the option of wifi calling it means that the ported
roms will not have that either.
That's why right now only the ported custom firmware with multi windows is available for our t999 phones.

Note II LTE and custom rom future?

Hello,
Since there is no custom rom for LTE, i was wondering what is the reason behind that. Are the firmware files for the N7105 device not available or is the source closed unlike N7100. I am currently looking to buy the LTE version, however if the custom rom wont come i will rather go for the N7100 version.
Cheers
PS: I have never owned an android device before and currently use the Nokia N900 (running maemo linux)
1) There is a stock, rooted, deoxed rom available.
2) Samsung have hindered asop development at every pass so support is low.
3) Touchwiz is VASTLY improvesd. No where near perfect but most people are happy.
4) The devs are busy working on the 7100 which is understandable so give them time.
5) The other idea is a patch to make n7100 work. (But it's looking like the changes are more than skin deep.)

Telus T989D Jellybean update: Here we go again

Telus just updated their jellybean update schedule for the T989D aka the S2X/Hercules but surprise, surprise its been pushed back to April. "Testing pending" for what? Sign me up Telus and I will gladly leak the build to xda dev's! So who will get their first in a race to the bottom? Telus or T-mobile?

Thank God for CM10.1
yeah, i doubt I will even run the stock build when it comes out. CM10.1 FTMFW
I will probably not use stock.....but a tw rom with signal bars wouldn't be bad.

Yes, but probably around the same date
looking forward to get this JB release. I have T989D with Rogers, but I always have problem with CM10/10.1 Nighties build, I can not call in/out after use the Fongo app (free VOIP soft phone). Until a few days ago, I switched to this
SUPERLITE SUPERFAST OFFICIAL SAMSUNG JB4.1.2 w/rotation fixed
All problem are gone! battery is better than CM10.

Currently my carrier is Rogers, but I got my T989D from Telus last year, that's why I want this Telus JB release.
From what I gather Rogers' S2 LTE is equivalent to the AT&T Skyrocket. Their ROMs can be readily ported (not that I know how, but...) to T-Mobile T989, but with some issues, such as call echoing.

I am using this radio for Rogers network:
UCLK4 For I727/I727R [09-DEC-2012]
The sound quality is very good, not call echoing.
Or try this latest radio from the Rogers Official UXUMA7 Samsung Jellybean release:
UXUMA7 For I727/I727R [19-FEB-2013]
Man am I glad I started flashing ROMs. I was actually going to just wait for the official JB release when they claimed it would be here by late February/early March. Now I'm running ptmr3's Jedi CM build 3 with no issues. I don't think I'd even bother with the official update if it was released tomorrow. It would be a downgrade, lol.

You definitely right, however it will come handy to iron out some of the issues (call echo, etc) when it finally drops followed by the release of the sources.

Telus released the htc one s JB update today so hopefully we should expect it in april. (Also possible that it migt be a bit early as they dont really have any other phones lined up for an update)

Exactly, but if your running a cm10 aosp rom or 10.1 aosp you can enable noise suppression under call settings followed by a reboot and it will eliminate call echo. The sources of telco jb roms are most important as they will contribute to better performance in dev roms when the devs pick them apart for things like improved wifi and bluetooth, stable(r) kernels, network tweaks, better radios, etc.

Once MC3 (aka Premium Suite) is officially out or leaked....

Does that mean AOSP ROMs will be able to have multi-view??

not likely. The multiview feature has heavy dependencies on the touchwiz framework. While to may be possible to port it over to AOSP, I doubt it will be. We've already had a working multiview available on the international SG3 (for months now) but it hasn't been ported over to AOSP yet. Having an "official" premium suite for the Sprint GS3 won't change anything in the AOSP world.

Damn! I thought the opposite would happen and that it'd make it possible. Thanks for the answer!
In my opinion multiview isn't that great...
Sent from my SPH-L710
There's an AOSP equivalent of multiview called multiwindow, it's a little different, but same concept
But as for Touchwiz multiwindow, i doubt it....it would take a lot of high-level smali edits, and even then it would probably be glitchy

Tmobile Wifi calling on 4.4 roms?

Do any of the new roms -- 4.4X support tmobile wifi calling?
The slim rom is awesome but no wifi.
Jedi is dead---
WiFi calling is a feature included only in TW ROMS released by T-Mobile or custom ROMS based on official T-Mobile ROMS.
If you need WiFi calling you need to stick to TW 4.3 based ROMS until T-Mobile releases official Kitkat update.

I tinkered with the apk and looked at the framework from the GN3 4.4 ROM. Well beyond me how to merge it to the GN2 Nordic based ROMs.

1. IS there something that explains what types of roms there are and the differences? like tw vs gn3?
2. How do you know if the the roms are TW or GN3?
3. How do i find the TW roms?
Thanks

TW refers to TouchWiz, which is the user interface that Samsung uses for all its stock versions of Android. GN# refers to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phone which is out and already has Kit Kat 4.4 on it. What I am saying is, the GN3 (Galaxy Note 3) is running a TouchWiz ROM (if it is stock of course) becuase Touchwiz only refers to Samsung's overall implementation of Android on Samsung phones.
So unfortunately, there is no way to answer your questions 1 or 2. Now as to where you find TouchWiz based roms, the forums here on XDA are a good start. Make sure what you are looking at is based for our phone (the SGH-T889) and either specifically says TouchWiz or specifically NOT say AOSP based.
One more thing. READ, READ, READ, READ. It seems you may need just a little more understanding to find what you are looking for. Good luck. There are many folks here willing to help.

While it's *possible* to port over there would be a metric butt ton of work that would probably break some stuff. The tmo 4.4 ROM is likely coming soon anyway.
