Remote Controls - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

I've been searching the net. I cannot find a solution. I want to use the stuff discussed in this tutorial.
http://findmymobile.samsung.com/hel...odelID=GT-N7100&product=Galaxy Note Ⅱ#step1-1
I've read it isn't available in the US, but the guide doesn't say that. I specifically want the remote find feature, but the ring the phone thing would be cool too.
Has this been hacked? Is thee a working solution? I know their is 3rd party software, but I was just hoping to use the onboard stuff that Samsung is advertising.
Thanks

The damn smiley in your link borked it. Wont open for me, stupid emoticons. You'd think it would be smart enough not to embed them in between tags

Ahh I've seen that before, it was disabled on Sprint's version since Sprint offers their own remote lock/locate service thru TEP

Alright, so we've established that this doesn't work. Is it an available feature on other roms or is that a hack?

WM6 - Instant Messaging Possibility (programmers look here)

Alright everyone I did some research and I've found a few things... I dont kno if anyones heard of it but there is a beta program out for messaging made by a company called Causerie. You can download the beta from here (http://causerie.mantragroup.com/down...senger-1.0.zip) There is a 15 day trial period but the layout looks excellent. For some reason it doesnt support landscape mode (they are probably trying to fix it) but it looks like an excellent program... perhaps the cab can be decompiled and we can implement it with the Jabber service which supports aim! Im new to programming and wouldnt even kno where to start but I thought if I could give some info to the more talented people on the forum maybe I could start something.... If no one is interested maybe in a few months (more like years) I will gain enough knowledge to attempt this little endeavor but for now Im just a newbie with a vision.... thanks for listening!!!!!
I don't understand what you want programmed besides the landscape support, a feature which can be pushed to the developer to speed up in delivering. The app already supports Jabber, so why bother reinventing the wheel?
Unless you're too stingy to pay for the software (USD 19.99), and rather spend time or hope other people can develop it so you can get it for free, then I'm really stumped with your intentions... do tell
Not to flame you or anything of that intent, but really there are many IMs out there that work well, even Agile Messenger and IM+.....
"Perhaps the CAB can be decompiled and we can implement it with...." ? WTF are you talking about? Clearly you know nothing about software developement.
If youre just wanting AIM, there is the old hacked AIM for WM5, that has also been modified to install to WM6, and it works fine..for free, I see you mention jabber for AIM access.
But if you want it, youll have to do some searching..though you might be very close without even knowing it.
i deleted what was here

WM6 Locking Application with PIN (ex: Text Messages)

Does anyone know of any application for WM6 (Im running Black Majik) where youre able to lock an application, such as Messaging, with a PIN
i used to have a RAZR (yes i know, kill me now) but i was able to do it on there
i dont mind people playing around with my phone, just there are some things in text messages and E-Mails that i would rather people not be able to access

Wouldnt it be easier to just lock the whole phone with a PIN number and when you have to give it to somebody to play with, just watch what they're doing ?
people always take it and just play games on it and what not, but im not paranoid enough to watch over their shoulder at their every movement, id rather just have an application lock if at all possible
Good news and bad news. Good news, such software exist. I saw it somewhere before and it is relatively new (e.g. near the period of WM6). The bad news is, I've forgot the name, and it is not freeware. You'll need to search harder.
UPDATE: Good news, I've found it. Bad news, it cost you $25

thank you very much
it makes no sense why software doing such a simple task costs $25...
...ill definitely give this one a look-see...but still in hopes someone has freeware to offer?

I haven't seen it done on TP or Tilt2, but its on the iPhone. I find it extremely useful for things like the facebook app. I would really like to see something like this done on TP and Tilt2! Does anyone know if someone here is already working on it? I hope someone does make this work, it would be awesome!

what exactly are you trying to have pushed to your phone?
well you can have it text you or send you an email but as for the little bubble over the icon no. thats actually a constant connection with apple servers and thats not free. its part of the apple plan that includes services like apples voicemail.

a alternative to "Frequently Called Remover"

I need a alternative to "Frequently Called Remover"
I'd love to get my mistress' number off there !
"Frequently Called Remover" from Android Market don't work on Epic Touch
I checked out the app Tiger. It monitors the Frequently Called list and prevents contacts from ever appearing on it without having to manually clear the list.
but I can't find the APK for this...

Is it permanent and auto... I need something like that, I rather not have frequent calls at all (TMI)
Idk if u can completely disable it but long pressing the contact u can remove em in 1 click i will check if they can be disabled and edit the post
Edit: i dont see any option to disable them entirely but deleteing is easy and it deletes the entire frequent call log for that contact and not just one call at a time so if u have (contact name) 15 calls to that contact it deletes all 15 calls and not just 1 call at a time

If you're going to be a douche and cheat on your woman and not have the balls to, you know - be a man and tell her what's up. Then at least put in some effort to cover your tracks instead of being lazy. Delete the frequently called list yourself, manually.
I'll take my infraction if that's what happens. This thread is stupid. Reported.

I think this is a valid topic, regardless of the OP's reasons for wanting to know. I like to show off my phone quite often to demonstrate some of the advantages of Android, and it would be nice not to have sensitive information like that so easily accessible to someone who's just playing around with my phone.

Do most people not know about the apps on the market that hide info like that? If you want to hide certain numbers when they call/text - get a black list app/privacy app or something like that. I like showing off what my phone can do also so I know what you mean. However, I don't allow complete strangers to handle my phone. I don't mind people seeing the name of someone I call often - I'm more concerned about the pictures they might see.
Guys, I use shady sms. It's got a built in call guard and a hidden contact list. Dev is cool too, he responds with help usually same day.
It blocks calls, sms, and hides them in the app. There's no app icon either. To open it, you go to phone, type your secret code, and hit send.

Damn, I was just joking.. Did I touch a spot, did your significant other cheat on you or etc... WOW!
I just want to app that monitors the Frequently Called list and prevents contacts from ever appearing on it without having to manually clear the list.
I know there other members looking for a similar solution to this problem....
Didn't mean to touch a nerve, hope you get your partner back, root their phone or something nice like that! Good luck!
Maybe edit the phone.apk or dialer.apk to get rid of the frequent list all together.
Or it may just be editing a value check for a call to save to the list. That way its always empty.
If you're going to be a jerk to your wife, then at least just get a separate phone. Or maybe you DO want to get caught. If you really cared you would not cheat, and if she's not what you want any more do the right thing and divorce her so she can do what she wants and maybe find someone who respects her without having to be concerned about someone who seems to not care about her(you).
That being said, I would check out Shady SMS, seems to help some ways. I figure the cost is worth it if you don't want to get caught.

I was really just joking .. But I found Tiger - No Frequently Called, looking for the APK so I can try it out on Epic (But I can't find anywhere)... If anybody find it, share please
Any new info on the subject
I think the app Super Private Conversation hides all communication from certain contacts and it is free on the market.
They changed the name to Private SMS & Call but it works wonders and is free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.superdroid.spc&hl=en
Alternatively, just use google voice for that purpose. All outgoing calls and text will be hidden within the google voice app.
Got to admit this was some good reading... If that man is capable of having more than one woman don't be mad at him... Kudos to you for at least not wanting to flaunt it and taking the time to try and do your pimping right.......hahahaha
Hey guys don't be mad at me, the forum name is there for a reason....LOL

I hope someone finds a way, i tried to long press and nothing happens. I'm running anaconda ROM by team venum. I want to be able to delete specific call records

[Q] Is Samsung done developing S-Note?

The ONLY thing that makes me even think about buying a wildly overpriced Windows 8 tablet is the ability to use OneNote. The sad part is that S-Note is just so damned close to being a OneNote killer app but it seems like Samsung got 80% of the way there and JUST QUIT.
Let's start with the unreadable .snb standard. As far as I can tell, even .snb readers for Windows can't read it. Unless you export your S-Notes as .pdf''s you are pretty much screwed being able to view them on your Desktop. So why would Samsung choose such an obscure standard with zero compatibility? Next can we talk about Templates? How hard would it be for Samsung to include a Template Editor so the grown-ups can create and save their own Templates instead of being forced to use the few Samsung thinks we all want? How about being able to create and save typing styles? How about being able to restart voice recording on a previously created S-Note? How about being able to embed a recording within a specific spot in your S-Note? If I can embed a video why can't I embed a recording? One of the best things about OneNote is being able to search on written text. Samsung, any ideas on that? How about being able to place a typing cursor just by clicking the screen where I want it? How about automatically typing around pictures instead of over them? How about being able too cut and move blocks of text?
So much about S-Notes just doesn't seen done to me, but as far as I can tell, those crazy Koreans at Samsung think it's perfect as is.
Please Samsung, I don't want to buy a Windows 8 tablet but you are forcing my hand.
** I am hoping that the new Awesome Note app coming with the Note 8.0 will solve some of these issues assuming we'll be able port it to our Note 2.

Why don't u do the work and forward the post that you wrote here to Samsung ... you have a better chance of it happening i if you were to send your recommendations to Samsung ... Not many on here work for Samsung I am guessing ....
Maybe they just don't have creative people on this app. ... maybe they would give you something as a reward. .. never know until you try ... or you could learn Java code your own app and instant profit

Awesome idea! Please give me the personal email of the Head of S-Note Development at Samsung and I'll get right on that. While you are at it, link me to the Samsung Support Forums on their website - oh that's right, Samsung doesn't have Support Forums.
I'm so happy a super-connected guy like you came along to solve the problem.
Also, I really should have bought a Java book and rewritten the entire S-Notes app myself as you suggest. I'm so dumb. I could have made millions!

Why don't you do a search finding samsungs emails isnt that hard. Or you could just keep stomping your feet and crying about it. That's really productive. samsungs forum's aren't on samsung.com but Google can tell you how to find em if you actually, you know, searched.
Edit: just cuz I'm feeling nice http://developer.samsung.com/forum/en took all of 2 seconds searching "samsung + forum" on teh googlez
