using Tapatalk 4 beta, and loving it!
I think it could be a driver problem, Im not sure as it never happened to me on my Kindle, but I had a similar problen on my Note II and my Galaxy Y

Kindle Fire Wont Power On - It was working fine and now will not power on - tried the hard reset - when plugged in I dont even get a light at all - is there anyone out there with a broken fire or know where to get a board and not pay something crazy
I haven't installed anything yet. I powered it up and then powered it down. Hooked it up to let it charge and no light. I have held it for 5 minutes and same thing. I'm guessing the board went out.

You're using a wall charger? Sometimes the USB charging doesn't work if the Kindle is completely out of battery. I'd say plug it in to the wall with the charger you got with your kindle, and leave it for a few hours, regardless of whether the light is on or not. Then try again.

With all due respect, that's just bad advice. If it is a 1st generation Kindle Fire, then there's no need to send it back. Even hard bricks can be fixed rather easily.
Search the dev forum for Firekit
I have a Kindle Fire that has TWRP 2.0 installed and the Fire!Fir!Fire! (I think... Yellow Triangle...).
I can power up the device, I see the yellow triangle and then I come to the home screen (slider). At this point it powers off. Sometimes it lets me slide the slider, but it still powers off.
During start-up, if I push the power button when the yellow triangle appears, I get to the TWRP screen. This does not help me as I really don't know how to use TWRP to fix problems.
I am very much a novice and need some help fixing my Kindle Fire.
Have you checked your battery?

Yes... currently the kindle is sitting at the TWRP screen. It has been on for about one hour.
Have you downloaded a rom on the kindle?

Okay... I feel totally stupid. The problem apparently was the battery. My daughters charger was plugged into a power strip that was turned off (she is only 11 years old). Anyway... the problem happened even when it was initially plugged into my computer USB. I assume that was due to the fact that it was extremely low on battery power. I noticed that when I was at the TWRP screen it had said batter was 3% (and that was after it had been plugged in for at least an hour). So I waited until it was 10%, unplugged it, and it works fine. It is now charging fully.
Sorry to be a nuisance... thanks for the advice!
So Ive got my Kindle Fire running on Jandycane, and it looks absolutely brilliant and works like a charm except for one little problem. Almost every alternate time when I hold the back button to kill an app the whole thing hangs up and the screen goes blank. Please help.
Same thing happens to me. Not a deal breaker but....

I an running twa's cm10.1 01/30/13 build.
I an about to update to the newest, so I'll update this once I flash to February's build.
Has anyone else had problems with android's built in alarms. I will set them, but they will not activate (launch, go off, whatever) until I turn the screen on.
Has anyone else had this or know of a fix?

Sorry to dredge this up from the depths, but I am hoping for an answer...

Just loaded Hashcode's latest CM10.1 and getting pure static in Skype and voice recorder. Anyone else have that problem?
Also: is there a menu selection to turn on ADB, b/c in windows device manager is showing the Kindle Fired HD with an exclamation, not the usual "ADB Composite Device"?
NVM about the static, Audio is listed in the current known issues... still perplexed by the ADB issue though.
Just reinstall the kindle fire drivers.
