Kindle Fire Wont Power On - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Kindle Fire Wont Power On - It was working fine and now will not power on - tried the hard reset - when plugged in I dont even get a light at all - is there anyone out there with a broken fire or know where to get a board and not pay something crazy

I haven't installed anything yet. I powered it up and then powered it down. Hooked it up to let it charge and no light. I have held it for 5 minutes and same thing. I'm guessing the board went out.

You're using a wall charger? Sometimes the USB charging doesn't work if the Kindle is completely out of battery. I'd say plug it in to the wall with the charger you got with your kindle, and leave it for a few hours, regardless of whether the light is on or not. Then try again.

With all due respect, that's just bad advice. If it is a 1st generation Kindle Fire, then there's no need to send it back. Even hard bricks can be fixed rather easily.

+1 ....plus this dosent look like a development thread
a real fix could be, a flashable zip that resets bootmode using pokey9ks bootmode files... I've been meaning to make it but if anyone else knows how, dive in.
but yup, cwm has no bootloop issues. so that's the real fix honestly.

Thank you so much. Spent like 3 days trying to fix this and the other things wouldn't work.

Kindle Fire powers off after start up

I have a Kindle Fire that has TWRP 2.0 installed and the Fire!Fir!Fire! (I think... Yellow Triangle...).
I can power up the device, I see the yellow triangle and then I come to the home screen (slider). At this point it powers off. Sometimes it lets me slide the slider, but it still powers off.
During start-up, if I push the power button when the yellow triangle appears, I get to the TWRP screen. This does not help me as I really don't know how to use TWRP to fix problems.
I am very much a novice and need some help fixing my Kindle Fire.
Have you checked your battery?

Yes... currently the kindle is sitting at the TWRP screen. It has been on for about one hour.
Have you downloaded a rom on the kindle?

Okay... I feel totally stupid. The problem apparently was the battery. My daughters charger was plugged into a power strip that was turned off (she is only 11 years old). Anyway... the problem happened even when it was initially plugged into my computer USB. I assume that was due to the fact that it was extremely low on battery power. I noticed that when I was at the TWRP screen it had said batter was 3% (and that was after it had been plugged in for at least an hour). So I waited until it was 10%, unplugged it, and it works fine. It is now charging fully.
Sorry to be a nuisance... thanks for the advice!

Any options for possibly bricked phone?

Can you boot into recovery or Factory Reset mode? Hold volume down + power until Factory Reset screen comes up.
No I can't. Could not even get into recovery after easy unbricking. Phone never acted right after doing that. But now it's all dead.
My computer does make the device connected sound when I plug into computer but can't ever find it with adb

Well this morning I was able to get into recovery, not sure how but when I plugged into the computer it just came on. But I accidently went to sideload and couldn't do anything from. There so I had to pull the battery . Wasn't ever able to get in back in. But now when I plug it in to my laptop the capacitive lights start flashing. Any clues what that means?

That means its out of battery. Plug it into an AC charger and try again.

As someone who's taken every chance with his Nitro, I agree entirely. Get that puppy charged and head on over to the unbricking guide:

It's a pain, but it seems like you'll eventually have to do this anyway if you're interested in installing any roms

boot animation stuck at top of screen.

Ive tried to install a different boot animation and installed and different rom but nothing has worked.
If you are running cm10.1 that is a known bug that you can't do anything about.
You really need to be more clear in what your problem is, and what you want to know.
