+1 ....plus this dosent look like a development thread
a real fix could be, a flashable zip that resets bootmode using pokey9ks bootmode files... I've been meaning to make it but if anyone else knows how, dive in.
but yup, cwm has no bootloop issues. so that's the real fix honestly.

Thank you so much. Spent like 3 days trying to fix this and the other things wouldn't work.

Kindle Fire Wont Power On - It was working fine and now will not power on - tried the hard reset - when plugged in I dont even get a light at all - is there anyone out there with a broken fire or know where to get a board and not pay something crazy
I haven't installed anything yet. I powered it up and then powered it down. Hooked it up to let it charge and no light. I have held it for 5 minutes and same thing. I'm guessing the board went out.

Hold the power for a minute or 2. Did you root it/install any ROM?

You're using a wall charger? Sometimes the USB charging doesn't work if the Kindle is completely out of battery. I'd say plug it in to the wall with the charger you got with your kindle, and leave it for a few hours, regardless of whether the light is on or not. Then try again.

With all due respect, that's just bad advice. If it is a 1st generation Kindle Fire, then there's no need to send it back. Even hard bricks can be fixed rather easily.
Search the dev forum for Firekit
I have a Kindle Fire that has TWRP 2.0 installed and the Fire!Fir!Fire! (I think... Yellow Triangle...).
I can power up the device, I see the yellow triangle and then I come to the home screen (slider). At this point it powers off. Sometimes it lets me slide the slider, but it still powers off.
During start-up, if I push the power button when the yellow triangle appears, I get to the TWRP screen. This does not help me as I really don't know how to use TWRP to fix problems.
I am very much a novice and need some help fixing my Kindle Fire.
Have you checked your battery?

Yes... currently the kindle is sitting at the TWRP screen. It has been on for about one hour.
Have you downloaded a rom on the kindle?

Okay... I feel totally stupid. The problem apparently was the battery. My daughters charger was plugged into a power strip that was turned off (she is only 11 years old). Anyway... the problem happened even when it was initially plugged into my computer USB. I assume that was due to the fact that it was extremely low on battery power. I noticed that when I was at the TWRP screen it had said batter was 3% (and that was after it had been plugged in for at least an hour). So I waited until it was 10%, unplugged it, and it works fine. It is now charging fully.
Sorry to be a nuisance... thanks for the advice!
I used this method: http://rootkindlefire.com/kindle-fire-root/how-to-root-kindle-fire-6-3-1/
Rebooted a few times, and the last message is
H:\…\KindleFireRoot631>fastboot oem idme bootmode 5002
< waiting on device >
I look at my fire, and it's stuck on the yellow triangle boot screen. When I push the power button to restart, it does not turn orange, it goes from green to off. I had a problem with the device manager not recognizing the kindle as well, but after reinstalling the drivers (numerous attempts), I got that problem sorted.
How do I get past this boot screen now?

If you are using Windows, it is highly likely that you need to fix your drivers.
or you could give this a shot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882565
Thanks for the quick replies.

I did read up on this one, but unfortunately I don't have a flash drive that size, and unable to get one atm.
Hope this works!

A 2 gig usb flash drive is all you need
A lot of times, when switching from normal to fastboot mode, Windows doesn't know what to do with itself and apparently goes on strike. It is usually the number one reason people have problems here because it is notoriously difficult to fix sometimes.
The "Kindle Fire For Beginners" guide has a section on drivers in the second post. You should have a look at it.
Tried it again with the same procedure, and this time it worked. I had KFU on standby just on case.
I guess it just needed to sleep on it. Thank you all that replied.

Ive tried to install a different boot animation and installed and different rom but nothing has worked.
If you are running cm10.1 that is a known bug that you can't do anything about.
You really need to be more clear in what your problem is, and what you want to know.
