Latest CM10.1 nightly (20130415cm10.1d2spr) - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I noticed something weird today, I got a notification from ROM manager that there was an update to CM10.1, nightly 20130415, so I checked cm updater several times and the get.cm site and neither showed a nightly for 20130415, I downloaded and installed but it seems strange that it didn't show up on either the get.cm site or cm updater

Doesn't sound like something to worry about as long as your phone still works fine after updating, lol.

[Q] CM 7.0.2.1 Problem

Ok, I've been trying to upgrade cm 7.0.2.1 and for some reason everytime I go into Clockwork Mod, it says there is an update for it and I'll do the usual update process, then when it boots up again, it is still CM 7.0.2. I even tried a full wipe of everything and a battery pull and still it brings up the "update available" for CM 7.0.2.1. Not to mention it didn't even update and I'm still at CM 7.0.2. Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there anyone that can help me with this?? Thanks.
It's because the latest update (Nightly 57) did nothing more than correct the version number for all the CMs. So, while it may appear there is an update because they came out with a nightly after 7.0.2.1..it is still called 7.0.2.1 (nothing changed except a label)...if you catch my meaning.
I suspect a big update (7.1) will be coming out in the next day or so based on the change logs.
(And you really should post in the correct section. If you have a question...it goes under questions.)
Okay, sorry about posting in the wrong area. I was just reading around and decided to post it here and didn't even see the questions area. But when I go into Rom Manager, it still says that there is an update available which is CM 7.0.2.1 I did the update but it doesn't say 7.0.2.1, it only says 7.0.2. Which I find it kinda weird. So you're saying that it is updated but it will only read as 7.0.2? Cuz that's what it says, nothing else has changed except for the fact that it keeps reminding me that there is an available update which is CM 7.0.2.1. So I dunno.

Is my Evo 4g too old?

I can't boot cm10 (unofficial) or Evervolv's JB preview ROMs. They both sit at boot screen. Also, Sometime mid July cm9 (unofficial) changed something that breaks my data somehow. Stock browser begins to load but stops and closes. Same with FB app. Any nightly (cm9) I use prior works fine and last Evervolv ICS release works great as well.
Is my Evo outdated? I've heard of some Evo's not handling some ROMs for whatever reason but I haven't heard of anybody having my problems with these new ROMs. I use Smelkus ver RA recovery and I have my SD partitioned, though I rarely use sd-ext. I'm always through on wiping and my hardware is 003 if that helps.
I have a pretty old EVO as well, and haven't had any issues getting any jb up and running. Have you tried redownloading? The most recent one I tried was here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805348 and I liked it, just no camera so I had to go back to an ICS.
If you do a full wipe there shouldn't be any reason why ur not able to run those roms.
Thanks for the input. I flashed the ROM above (With evervolv jb gapps) and decided to wipe everything individually. I'm running JB now! Only thing I did differently was not use combo wipes and try this ROM. I wonder if that's it. Will try other ROMs now.
Just for an update I downloaded new Evervolv JB preview 5 and it booted so not sure what's going on. Unofficial CM10 still won't boot so maybe it is a download issue but I've tried multiple ways (3g and landline). Team Dirt CM10 booted though. I'm scratching my head.....
So basically I am just here to answer your question concerning if your HTC EVO is too old? Why, yes, yes it is, actually, any phone that comes out is usually obsolete within one to two months after debute.
I have booted cm10 to my evo with no problem. I have encountered a few issues with cm10 but that was expected. Can't wait for the camera to work. Only major setback.

[Q] CyanogenMod nightlies error

I've been updating my CyanogenMod with nightlies but a couple of days ago when I tried to download the latest one, it says error. I've tried through ROM Manager and direct downloads but get an error both ways. Any ideas why and how to fix?
Thanks
PS Just noticed it will let me download RC4. Maybe it's just a couple of dodgy nightlies
PSS Fixed now

[Q] Google Plus download stalls at 11%, no matter what - please help

I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus (GSM, maguro) and had aokp 4.2.2 nightly installed on it for a while. I wanted to try out 4.3, so I went back to stock. After a week, I missed aokp's features and decided to go back. However, after installing aokp milestone 2 and gapps, I could download all of my apps from the Play Store except for G+. While downloading it freezes at 11% and sits there (for 10+ minutes). I figured something was wrong (maybe with milestone 2?), so I tried these other routes, not knowing what else to do: (1) I downgraded my Play app to 3.1 (or 3.2?); (2) I wiped my phone clean and installed stock 4.2.2; (3) I flashed the aokp nightly (prior to milestone 2) that I had originally used; (4) I tried 3 different versions of G+ from friends who kindly sent them to me. All three versions "stopped" and were unusable.
So, I'm stumped. I don't understand why G+ freezes at 11% on 4.2.2 stock, 4.3 stock, an aokp nightly, and aokp milestone 2. Or why other versions won't run.
The only other thing I can think of (if I understand it correctly): perhaps, when running 4.3, my G+ app was backed up and when I downgraded to 4.2.2 it became incompatible. Is that possible? If it was, I thought that wiping my phone and adding stock 4.2.2 would fix that, but the problem persists.
Thanks for your help.

Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 stable lagging as hell!

Well, the title is pretty self-explanatory: I'm on CM 10.1.2 stable since a month and a half and in the last week it started to lag is I've never seen before!
Now I'd like to know if there's something I can do without flashing anything, and if there isn't if in your opinion is better to go back to stock on 4.3, to flash again 10.1.2 or to try the last nighty.
Thanks
PS: if you suggest me to go back to stock can you also explain me how to do it? I'm not into rom flashing anymore and I don't remember how to do it
Flash the latest 10.2 nightly. Its 4.3 though so you need the 4.3 gapps.
Is it stable enough for a smooth daily use?
I dont think the Galaxy Nexus has "unstable" ROMs. Everything works.
I've had a Galaxy S before GN, so I'm used to bad working roms and various lags
The Galaxy S is a different story. You should have no problems with the Galaxy Nexus
Flashed the last nightly and everything is fine but one thing.
I can't send SMS anymore.
Looking over the net I found that it can be the SMSC, and in fact probably it is because I typed *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer and in Phone Information the SMSC was empty.
I found the right one for me (Wind Italy) which is 0791932350585800, I typed it and refreshed.
Then I rebooted the phone and tried to send and SMS and still nothing, but looking at the SMSC it was empty again...what should I do?
