[Q] The mysterious vanishing 5.1204.162.29 - HTC One X

For the life of me I can't find the RUU for 5.1204.162.29 (unbranded HTC__621 Taiwan).
I'm trying to restore to stock but having a hard time about it. Before I throw this phone into my junk draw to be forgotten forever, I thought I might as well put out a call for help.
So. Help?

Do this fastboot command to get to the right ruu
Fastboot getvar version-main
Post the result please !

Whoops! This may make more sense.
version-main: 1.29.709.12

Download this file
http://bugsylawson.com/index.php/fi...97-radio-1120410414-release-259284-signedexe/
Put the phone in the boatloader and relock the bootloader (if its unlocked)
Fastboot oem lock
Then keep the phone in the bootloader and run the ruu with admin rights. Then perform all official ota's you can get within the phone menu - software updates

Cheers, but I've tried this file before and I come up with an error 155.
Reconfirming what I've done:
charged phone to 100%
relocked bootloader.
plugged into PC (windows 8)
run RUU with admin rights
RUU does its thing for a few minutes and then comes up with error 155.

Try it on a windows 7 machine !

Just did - gave me an error 170 this time. I tried with multiple cables and USB ports.

Maybe the 2.17 ruu will work
Edit : I don't see the 2.17 only a 3.14 here

Well if the ruu gives you an error you could always find the ROM.zip file located in your temp folder and flash it via fastboot.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Otherwise you can flash the standalone JB firmware and restore a "new" nandroid backup.

Yep thats the right one .... The .24 ruu has the 1.36 hboot, and the .31 ruu will update your hboot to 1.39 !
Thank you kind sirs Can somebody tell me do I need to be in a fastboot to run it or what? How do I install it?
Yes you put the phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
After that it reboots the bootloader and you see a warning sign there, now keep it in fastboot usb mode and execute the ruu WITH admin rights (right click the file and run as administrator)
Should do the trick
Thank you This returns eveything to factory stock I think?
Yes.

Yes everything. Stock rom, stock boot.img and stock recovery ! You will have an out if the box hox
Note : watch out it might wipe the sdcard also (not 100% sure but there are reports that it did so back it up just in case)
I have erased everything from SD yesterday I thought my HOX has shutdowns couse of that. I tryed everything and now I'm doing this. Hope it helps, he just shutsdown for no reason. I think it's the battery problem but it's better to try software first

[Q] HBOOT CID problem

Hi guys,
let me fill you in on my situation.
I live in The Netherlands, last year i got my one x.
My service provider is vodafone, current HBOOT version is 1.12 and my CID is VODAP102
At the moment i''m running slim bean 3.1.0 official (android 4.1.2)
I would like to upgrade to a JB ROM but i cant because my HBOOT version is to low.
I followed the instructions from the link below (short version: lock phone, fastboot oem RUU, etc..)
But after locking the phone it wont boot into RUU and it wont flash the new HBOOT version.
I checked and i downloaded the correct HBOOT for my CID.
I followed the steps in the video to the letter but always fails when trying to reboot into RUU and after that to flash the new HBOOT.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkD3CeSecb8
My best guess would be that the CID that my phone returns to me is not the CID my phone realy has.
Because when i look up the CID it is assosiated with either vodafone UK or vodafone germany not vodafone NL.
Can u help me ?
If you have a backup of stock ICS rom, restore this and lock your phone.
Take the upgrade by OTA and re-unlock your phone with the first code by htc.
p.s. SlimBean works on 1.2x hboot?

You need to do this
http://www.androidrevolution.nl/downloader/download.php?file=3.14.401.31.zip
Rename it to firmware.zip
Relock the bootloader :
Fastboot oem lock
Then go into ruu mode with these commands :
Fastboot oem rebootRUU
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
(Maybe 2-3 times needed)
Then reboot the phone and check if the bootloader has changed to 1.39
After the above you run the JB RUU
http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...-r-radio-5120416229-release-302015-signedexe/
then you are on the updated jellybean software.

After "Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip", says "remote:battery low", the same problem that i had trying to do other things, it seems that the battery is not charging.
The battery only charges inside a custom recobery or when the phone is off.
I have a script that you can run from the fastboot folder. It will continuesly reboot the phone and charge it little by little and after a while you are able to flash again.

I think the battery is at its full capacity (3771 mV). I did the "Fastboot oem rebootRUU " and it was Ok,
got the screen black with the hTC symbol in the middle. Then i did the "Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip "
first time i got "remote:13 battery low", did it again and got "remote: 00000008", did it again and got stuck on "sending zip (12876 KB)" for a while and now says "Failed (data transfer failure (Too many links))"
Battery full cap is at 4200. I would charge it more.

[SLVD]HTC ONE X stuck on black screen & fastboot detection problem & charging problem
Hello friends,
I tried to update my HTC one x hboot 1.12 to official jb manually.. as i didnt notice my hboot, my update got stuck in malfunction and i finally ended in bootloop and sometimes black screen.
Now My problem is... FASTBOOT USB is not recognised in my pc (wind 7 32-bit)
(i managed it by manually using adb commands rather the toolkit)
Now when i tried to flash a hboot upgrade through RUU, I get remote: battery low error.
HELP! HELP!! HELP!!!
Will RUU mode charges my mobile? i plugged the charger in fastboot mode but it dosn't... :'(
The battery only charges with the battery script for that you need fastboot ! Or inside a custom recovery.
Try fastboot on another pc or try to uninstall and reinstall HTC syncmanager and it's drivers

Batt script in the fastboot folder and start it with admin rights.
