I bought HTC Sensation Anker 1900mAh battery for my DHD and put it as explained here. My battery drain was very good i checked it is using Current Widget. Its was something between 3-8mA to minute drain with WIFI or data on.
I put my old original battery in my DHD because the Sensation battery gave me poor WIFI signal. Now when i check my battery drain it something between 10-14mA.
How it is possible? does the version of the battery effects on battery drain?

This question is a tricky one.. lets c if we can solve this one.shall we???
1. I dnt knw the relation between battery and wifi signal hvnt encountered one nor hv heard abt it before.
2. Seems like according to your question the extra wifi signal takes extra juice from ur old battery thts y the drain is high as compared to ur new battery with low wifi signal.
3. Yes battery lifetime can effect the battery drain. Plus DHD is only 1230mAh while the other one is 1700 mAh

Less signal results to more battery being used in the radios to try and pick up more signal, the capacities are very different, I would also imagine that your Desire HD battery is older

So since day one I've used the 1500mah battery for the tp2/imagio/hero and its been running fine, battery drain is still a bit higher than what I'd expect comming from winmo. So I was wondering people who tried both stock and the 1500mah battery, have you noticed any real difference in battery life?
Hi people
i recently brought a spare battery its a G5 3.7 1800 mAh by FEIPUSI.
I have charged it fully but my phone keeps turning off, i tested the battery with a meter and i get 3.82v also on the phone i downloaded current widget and it says 44mA
My original htc battery puts out 2.7 on the meter and says 424mA on the widget.
what's going on???? the reason i brought a spare is because my battery only lasts a day, i have wifi on or 3g depending on reception and normal brightness.
whys it got a higher voltage but a lower Am or is my HTC original F*$£ED
THANKS ALL
Found out the issue with the battery just cutting out, it was the bottom two gold colored prongs that the battery connects too. i just bent them out a little.
this does not effect the Power put out, its still at 44mA????? anyone
If I understand you right, you're wondering why a non original battery is not putting out like the original?
I've always been skeptic about those.
its a fake lable battery
i´ve the same brought an its a massive bad battery

anyone found a better battery than stock ?
Posting my results, because I want to know how well peoples batteries are holding up on Marvelc.
I thought this would be a great topic to see what rom's have best battery performance on the A510c.
So far the most I've gotten out of stock battery is between 18 to 19 hrs running jmz sense 3.5. This is with moderate usage some web, emails, pics, and music actually a lot of music. I disabled background data and autosync for about half of the time and I normally dim the screen to a very low setting.
Oh and I always have my phone oc'd to 806 Mhz 120 min.
If anyone has better results I would appreciate it if you would let us know how you did it. Bad results will be appreciated as well

I'm talking about stock battery not extended batteries, and another thing I left out was every time my battery reaches full charge I unplug my phone and reboot into recovery and in advanced wipe battery stats.
The battery last for the day without having to have a charger around.
It's funny because my classmates have EVO 3d's and they have real crappy battery life. Their always plugging their charger in lol.
Now they want me to flash their phones

my stock battery life could be better....but hey I bought the phone new for $100 so I cant complain right?
I bought mine for $150 and after rooting it's been worth it. Unrooted it wouldn't be worth it. It's a great phone after all. Flashed and modded like crazy
I could only imagine the battery life if I got an extended battery.

Yes it does. I purchased an extended battery for mine. The only downside is that the back case won't fit with the extended battery.
Use a rubber phone case. It holds the battery in just fine. I get about 2 days with the extended battery. I use the stock battery as a backup, and it gets about 12-14 hours depending on usage.
All told, I could probably stretch them both to last me three whole days.
That's what I meant, the way the cdma wildfire s is designed it probably wont get a proper back door

Hi I currently have mikg rom installed on my evo but my battery life is still horrible,, does anyone know any roms that use less juice on the battery.. thats all im really concerned about? thanks
I always liked the TN Shooter ROM. Sense 3.0, working 4G, life is good. I cannot say anything about battery life though, because I use two extended batteries, but from what I can tell battery life isn't too bad. Link --

How old is your battery? When i first rooted my EVO, it could sleep overnight and lose 2%, and after a year, it wouldn't stay on 100% for more than 30 seconds. I could literally sit and watch the battery drain at this point. Age I'd a big factor in determining the battery life.
Another big factor is whether or not you are using an HTC battery, or if you purchased a 3rd party battery. Just keep those things in mind.

First things first. This belongs in Q/A . That being said. Did you do a Clean Install of the Rom ? Did you restore any Data ? What Kernel are you using ? Also this has been mentioned, but I will reiterate. If your Battery is old, or if you are using a knock off Battery it affects the Battery life.

After a long period of battery use,it will degrade as time goes on and you will lose battery cells and the battery gets weaker and wont keep a full charge, the best practice is to charge your phone fully, then let it discharge until it shuts itself off, then recharge again and do the same thing, then recharge and the battery will stay charged a little longer,is what this supposidly does is try building the cells back, but its only temporary, especially when you have an worn battery, the best roms to use for battery life, from my experience is aamikam and Tommys roms, alot of time it will also have to do with the kernel, especially if its an OC'ed kernel, look for an SBC(superior battery charge) kernel.
ok well idk what kernal it is because i cant figure out how to add one yet,, but maybe it was the batterys i bought this extended battery off ebay which had a high mah rating i thought it would last longer but it didnt wasnt a oem battery i didnt know there was a difference so i went ahead and bought a factory battery today .. thanks
Try discharging the battery than give it a full charge. If that doesn't help, try a Rom called SOS X/N.

BTW not sure if you have one or ever heard of anker batteries but anyways they sell a charger with the battery. My original EVO battery started to die very fast. I bought an anker and it seems whenever I charge the phone via USB charger vs the anker battery charger the battery will die much faster. You should try buying the anker battery charger & use the charger to charge your battery, do not use the USB cord to charge it & see if that helps any

I've seen good things about one on Amazon. Which ROM are you using? Also, which kernel?

My guess is a battery issue...not a bad battery tho.
Why not get gsam and post some screenshots after a good long drain?
Your setup, usage and apps have surely changed over time. Something is likely draining your battery.
Read the first 3 posts in the battery thread in my signature.... Its for the N5...but most info is universal.

Ok. I've seen some good things about Anker batteries (like this one:http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-T...H-I515/dp/B0078WL4YO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)
With a new battery, do a full charge, full discharge (until phone dies and will not turn back on), and another full charge.
+1 for the anker 2200mah replacement. It's cheaper than the oem battery. It lacks nfc though. And as for the whole "battery memory" thing, don't worry about it. Just pop the new battery in and use it however. I just bought the anker to replace the original battery in my wife's s2, her battery life has doubled.
I just bought the Anker 2200 mAh battery and its great. My phone does last a little longer on standby, but my screen-on time hasn't increased by very much (I typically get about 3-4 hrs screen time).
I'm running CarbonROM + Wildkernel and other various tweaks for battery life. My phone spends most of its time in deep sleep.
When you open your battery stats, what things are taking the most out of your battery? I've found the app Wakelock Detector to help a lot in tracking down battery drains.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=en
GSAM gives a much easier to understand picture of battery usage. If you're rooted, get Gsam root companion as well to see held awake stats. ?
